Question: What should I do today if basketball tryouts are tomorrow? Basketball tryouts start tomorrow at my school and they will last for 2 weeks, the 1st week being th elimination of the lesser players. I have been practicing the fundamentals for about a little more than 1 month. Anyway, I was just wondering what should I be doing today besides practicing everything I know today (what to eat, mentality, etc.) . Also, can you guys give me any tips/suggestions for making it to the team?
Answer: I would say don't stress yourself out today by practicing too much. Eat regular foods like normal except in the evening try to not eat very heavy foods. Morning and Afternoon foods can pretty much be what ever you would like because until dinner or bed time you will have plenty of time to burn the calories. The way to make the basket ball team or any thing you want to join is go in and enjoy yourself, know that you can do it, Don't think that you will fail think that you will succeed, don't stress yourself out tonight or all day tomorrow on whether you will make it or not! YOU CAN MAKE IT if you really want to!!!!

Question: How does today's economic crisis compare to the Great Depression? I have to write a comparison paper by comparing the causes and effects of the Great Depression to today's economic crisis.
I have the basics, like under consumption. But I need a few more ideas.
Answer: I think a big factor that you might need is that during the depression there was about 25% of unemployed which makes it a depression and currently there is about 10% so you can see how 25% of unemployed people affects the economy at that time. Also you should look into the regulations with stock and banks at the time which were way different compared to today.
Question: What is hot today as a subject for painting on canvas? I am a visual artist, tired of the direction I am going and am looking for new subject matter to paint. What subject matter interests people today who buy art work?
Answer: I don't know what direction you are going now. But subject-matter that interests people today is very much concerned with expression of personal identity, culture or ethnic background; and also topics with social or even political relevance.
Multi-media installations are still in vogue, although painting is making a comeback. A mmda. installation could include in the same work painting, sculpture, texts, video and lighting elements.
To get an idea about the the subject matter that interests artists and public today read/look at some of the works featured at the Venice Biennale (still on) this summer. The main show was titled: Think with the Senses - Feel with the Mind. Art in the Present Tense It was reviewed, e.g. in the London Guardian http://arts.guardian.co.uk/art/visualart/story/0,,2100857,00.html
see some pics: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/6730167.stm
This should give you a fair idea - and you can look up other reviews too - of what is hot just now in the art world.

Question: How can digital cameras today make images with small and varied sizes as found in vintage photography? You see heirloom photos in albums and frames that had a variety of custom sizes, mostly smaller. Standard today is 4x6. How can digital cameras or software take the same types of images with the same size range?
Answer: the size range comes from printing, not taking the picture.
Now, if you are printing at home, paste teh image on a larger white page, then print, or crop the image, then print. Either way, when you are done, cut the image to the size you want.
If you are having them printed, do the same thing, but you have to wait.

There was five of us and each of us was a member of a different high school clique. Being from such widely different backgrounds and having such completely different personalities, it's inevitable that some frictions and shenanigans developed.
But after pouring our hearts out to each other about our problems, fears, secrets, and deepest emotions we each found qualities about each other, which changed our lives forever.
After spending the Saturday detention together we came to realise that we are all deeper than our respective stereotypes.
