Question: Effective weight loss tips? I'd really like responses from people who have lost significant amounts of weight. I'd just like to know of some simple exercises that are effective in burning fat. I've got one hell of a long way to go, but I figure for my health, my sanity, and any hope of EVER being in a relationship, weight loss is a necessary thing.
Answer: Hi there Kennethc
First of all, let me just say let your looks not be the determinant of the relationship you get into. If you want to lose weight, do it for the right reasons; that is, do it because it makes you happy and it is something that you want to do. There is this myth or urban legend that goes around saying when you are thin, you are beautiful and if you are a woman, men fall over themselves in a rush to be in a relationship with you; well if that is the case, that kind of relationship is not worth being in as it is loveless. If you wanna be in a relationship, be in a realtionship for love. The person who loves you truly will overlook your physique; they'll love you for you; not because you satisfy some fantasy of a man being in a relationship with some model!
Now, for your question; I have found that the best and quickest way to lose weight is to eat lots of vegetables; preferably raw and drink a lot of water. Avoid meat at all costs; any kind of meat. Eat small portions of vegies frequently throughout the day. If you want to exercise, just run a bit or walk briskly for 20 to 30 minutes three time a week.
Please love yourself the way you are because if you don't, no one else will.
Best Regards
Victor
Question: weight loss and relationship failure!! are they interconnected? Am I the only almosg 32 year old female that can not find love, nor a decent weight????
Answer: Sadly enough , its true.
I am a boy and not a hypocrite.
there is no platonic love between a boy and a girl.
Boys do not like fat girl, its cold fact.
( But it does not mean you have to be slender or to have flat belly.)
AND fat people tend to have bad health.
So even though it sounds cruel for your health and love life , be balanced, be more desirable.
THATS THE WAY GAME GOES.
Question: Weight loss? Around July 12th, I weighed about 225 pounds. I went through some personal issues with the loss of a relationship with my girlfriend. Through the stress, I lost my appetite, couldn't eat and started losing weight. I noticed within a month or so, alot of the not eating from the stress was gone but,I didn't have the same appetite that I did before. I weighed again this morning and was 187 pounds. That is a loss of 38 pounds over 9 weeks. I don't have the appetite that I did and obviously don't eat as much. It doesn't seem to matter what I do eat now though, I continue to lose weight. I do feel alot better physically from it. Have you ever went through something like this?
Answer: I went through this when I went through a divorce. I lost about 30 pounds and it has pretty much stayed off. I think your body is probably working its way toward what it was supposed to be all along. If you continue to lose weight drastically, though, you should go to a doctor and make sure it's not something more. Otherwise, chalk it up as one good thing that came out of a horrible situation. I'm sorry you had to go through what you've been through.

Question: Can weight loss change a relationship? My boyfriend and i use to have sex in the morning as well as the night time. Since i put on 20 pounds in the last year and a half, i don't care to have him look at me and my folds so we no longer have sex in the morning. It has to be at night and the lights have to be off. I know this bothers him to the point where he is really annoyed at me. So three months ago i lost 20 pounds and now we are back to having sex day and night . I notice that he takes me out alot more now and is very sweet to me. What do you make of it.
Answer: You are more confident after losing weight, and your attitude is better so you are more fun to be around. Your attitude directly affects the way people treat you.
Question: Has a weight-loss or weight-gain ever caused friction in any important relationships in your life? Although I have never been what anyone would consider overweight, my physical fitness has greatly improved in the past year however, my best friend in the entire world has had the opposite happen and gained weight. I could care less what she looks like. She will always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me but it is starting to have a negative impact on our friendship! Has this ever happened to you and what did you do?
Answer: Yes,one of my g/f's is always on me about what I eat.I used to ignore her,but I know she is right.People should start early taking care of their health. It sure sucks not being able to move around because of weight/health problems. You all take care now.
Question: How does weight effect your interaction? I did a video for my Multicultural education class... about the media and weight loss... and how it has caused me to lose weight...
Now I have to write about how that (my feelings about weight and weight loss) effects my interaction with people...
I dont know what to write!
So how about you guys, how do your feelings about weight and weight loss effect your interpersonal relationships?
Answer: When I am thinner, I feel more confident and am more outgoing. I go out in public more. When I gain weight in the winters, I am more at home, and feel bad about myself.
Question: weight loss? what can i do to lose at least 10 lbs quick i hate weighing this much and i need to lose some weight my self esteem has deminished greatly and its rather depressing and hurts my relationship sometimes with my boyfriend...please help i have tried to eat good and about to go run but nothing seems to help a lot
Answer: drink lots and lots of water you'll be amazed at the amout of weight you will shed. i drink about 4 liter bottles of dasni water daily and have managed to lose 12 pounds in a month also dont eat anything after 6pm that way you body will burn the calories your body consumes during the day. instaed of storing fat during the night. dont crash diet like purging and dont starve yourself these will make you lose muscle and slow your metabolism way down also try a colon cleanse(a capsule you take daily ) your body holds at least 3 meals in your large intestine and screws up your whole digestive system in which makes it hard for your body to release toxins and bad fats.
Question: Why has my weight loss caused problems with my relationship? Last year my doctor advised me to lose 20 pounds before a surgery. After losing the initial weight, I felt so great that I kept up my weight loss and over the past year I’ve lost over 70 pounds. I look and feel great, but my weight loss seems to have caused problems between my fiancé and I. At first he was very supportive, but as I started to look better and receive more attention from other men, he became very insecure about our relationship and has gone so far as to accuse me of cheating. The problem came to a head a few weeks ago when he forbid me to go on a vacation with some of my girlfriends. My best friends have all spread to different areas of the country so we take a yearly trip to stay connected. The trip has never been an issue before, but now he says he doesn’t want me away for that long. He thinks that I’ll fool around on him with other men. I love my fiancé dearly and would never dream of cheating on him and I’ve never done anything that would compromise his trust. I recently relocated over 2000 miles from my family to be with him. If that doesn’t prove my love I seriously don’t know what would. He’s always been in incredible physical shape and I thought he would be happy that I got in shape too. Any advice on how to handle his insecurity?
Answer: Well it is his own insecurity, and re-assuring him is one thing, but I hope he isnt expecting for youto constanly be stroking his ego, that will get old and tiresome.
Maybe hehas been getting the kind of attention you are starting to get and he is probably afraid you will be all flattered, lose your head, and leave him for some other silver tongued devil.....Men give us no credit sometimes, be strong, re-assure him but tell him that if he keeps up the ridiculous insecurities, and it starts impeding and hindering your life then you wont stand for it, as for the trip, Honey if I only got to see my best friends only once a year, nothing would stand in my way, especially if it is an annual thing. He needs to get over it and be happy that you are getting healthier!!
God Bless you and Good luck!
Question: what is the relationship between ALOE VERA and WEIGHT LOSS?
Answer: Aloe powder, derived from the tough outer leaf of the plant, is a strong 'cathartic' consumed internally as a cleanser, and often touted as a treatment for a variety of conditions ranging from liver disease to AIDS.
Clinical evidence supports many of the health claims attributed to Aloe Vera. Researchers have found that fresh Aloe gel promotes wound healing by speeding up the growth of skin cells and aiding recovery from surgery. Aloe has also proved effective in treating pressure sores, chronic leg ulcers, and frostbite.
Aloe Vera has also been shown to have strong antibacterial and antifungal properties against a broad range of microbes. Carrisyn, an extract of aloe, has shown recent evidence of being able to inhibit a number of viruses 'in-vitro', including the strains responsible for herpes simples, measles, and HIF
Question: Can a stressful relationship that just ended have caused my hair and weight loss? I was in a relationship that was stressful for a while. At times it was stressful enough that I felt nauseated and I woke up most days feeling tense, scared, anxious.
I now weigh about the same as I did when I was 17, I can attribute this to food poisoning incidents also, (I travel alot in latin america, where I live now). I have also noticed alot of hair coming out whatever time of day. Now my dad is bald but my mom's brothers look like hippies. I am 21, so I expected that even if I got the gene, I would have a little more time.
Does anyone know about the effects of stress like these?
Answer: Both emotional and physical stress (such as a serious illness or recovery from surgery) have been associated with hair loss. It is possible that stress induces hormonal changes that are responsible for the hair loss, since hair loss is a known consequence of other hormonal changes due to pregnancy, thyroid disturbances, or even from taking oral contraceptives.
Nervous habits, such as scalp rubbing or hair twisting or pulling may also be responsible for hair loss. These habits may be responses to psychological stress in some people and may be another cause of stress-related hair loss.
The hair loss from hormonal changes often disappears after a period of months to two years. As with other stress-related symptoms, learning and practicing effective stress-management techniques can help reduce the severity of the symptoms.
Question: I've been losing weight rapidly due to loss of apetite, is this healthy? I only eat lunch and part of dinner, sometimes I fully eat dinner sometimes I don't. all this has been triggered due to the loss of my relationship with my girlfriend who I love with all my heart. I mean I shouldn't be complaining I was kinda overweight but now its like wow. I dropped almost 4 inches on my waist size, in a few weeks, is this normal or am I going to collapse?
Answer: No, it is not normal or healthy. You are experiencing weight loss due to depression. When you regain your normal perspective on life you will, most likely, gain it back. Get out a bit more and find out why your relationship ended. This will help you gain a better attitude towards your life. I don't think you will collapse. If you feel that the weight loss is actually good for you than write down what you are eating and how much so that when you feel better you can eat the same things and will continue to lose weight until you get to a good weight for you. You also might try exercising more as that will release more endorphins which will make you feel even better.
