Weight Loss Programs
Question: Why do only thin people advertise weight loss programs? Why do they only use thin people to advertise weight loss programs?
If you're thin - then you don't need to lose weight. Why don't they use over weight people and then show the changes?
Answer: because no one wants to hear a fat person saying how easy it is to lose weight on a certain program and that you should 'join today'. it seems hypocritical.
on every weight loss ad I see they show before and afters where they start off fat though.
Question: There are numerous weight loss programs in our society that? There are numerous weight loss programs in our society that recommend low carbohydrate and high protein diets. What are some of the benefits that proteins provide when included in a balanced diet, and what are the dangers of overconsumption of proteins? What effects do these diets have on the body, both short-term and long term?
Answer: Protein (along with carbohydrates and fats) is one of the three macronutrients your body needs to function properly. It has many health benefits which include helping your body build and repair cells, helping your body produce antibodies, enzymes and hormones and helping your cuts heal. However, you can get too much of a good thing and protein is no exception. In this article I am going to be outlining four of the drawbacks of eating too much protein.
1) IT CAN HAVE A DEHYDRATING EFFECT:- In a four week study that looked at five endurance athletes who consumed low, medium and high levels of protein it was found that increased protein consumption lead to lower levels of hydration. Dehydration can cause a number of serious problems including extreme fatigue, muscle cramps, headaches, muscle spasms, difficulty breathing and loss of consciousness.
2) IT PROMOTES FAT STORAGE:- Many people believe that you can eat protein to your hearts content and not get fat. However, if you eat too many calories (whether they come from carbohydrates, fat or protein) they ultimately get stored as body fat. Eating more of this macronutrient whilst eating the same amount of calories can stimulate fat burning in your body but eating too many protein calories will lead to fat storage.
3) IT CAN LEAD TO KIDNEY STONES:- When protein is broken down this creates acids such as uric acid which increases the acidity levels in your blood. To combat this your body releases the alkaline substance calcium phosphate from your bones into the bloodstream. Overall, this increases urine levels of uric acid and calcium which can then both form into kidney stones.
4) IT CAN LEAD TO OSTEPOROSIS:- As discussed above eating high levels of protein can lead to calcium phosphate being released from the bones. Low levels of calcium in the bones can cause osteoporosis to develop. Osteoporosis reduces your bone density and can lead to your bones bending, breaking and fracturing much more easily than normal, healthy bones.
As you can see protein is not a super nutrient. Whilst it has many valuable functions when consumed properly, eating too much can lead to the problems discussed above. Increasing your protein intake moderately can help you build muscle and burn fat. Therefore, if you decide to eat more protein make sure that you do not consume it excessively.
In my experience all the weight loss programs are for nought. You have to really , really want to lose weight and stick to it. A low Glycemic diet coupled with exercise is the best one I have found. I don't feel cheated. Probably the only things I really miss are Potato's. Other than that I am happy. OH, and pizza.http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm
When I lowered my intake of carbs and exercised my cholesterol and blood pressure went from high to normal. That high blood pressure is the real killer. Now mine is 118/68 resting.
This way of eating is a great way for the whole family to eat. If you do , there will not be any Type 2 diabetes in your family.
Good luck

Question: What weight loss programs have helped you? Are there any weight loss programs that you've used to help increase the amount of weight you've lost? I've been on MediFast Health for awhile now and want to know if anyone else has used similar programs.

Question: How do I know which are the best weight loss programs? I’m trying to choose a weight loss program but there are so many I don’t know which works and which don’t.
Answer: Choosing the right weight loss program can mean the difference between just wasting your money and actually losing weight.
There are so many programs out there from Jenny Craig to the Atkins diet and even the Chuck Norris total gym.
There are a few things you want to look for.
1.Do they have a diet plan that helps you create meals.
2.Do they have an effective exercise program.
3.Do they teach you how to keep the weight off.
Finding one that is legitimate is also tough. Here’s a link to an ehow article that talks about choosing the best weight loss programs and a couple of others that talk about weight loss.

Question: Are there any weight loss programs like weight watchers for a 13 year old? hi. are there any weight loss programs like weight watchers for a 13 year old? thanks.
Answer: I really don't think there are any for 13 year olds. I could be wrong though. You can ask your mother to buy more reduced fat foods and try being more active. Even riding a bike more often may help. Theres an article on Lucille Roberts blog called "Ten Changes You Can Make to Your Diet to Start Losing Weight" that may help you. It discusses how simple things like drinking more water and not putting dressing on your salad can also help you loose weight.
Question: Any free weight loss programs for 13 year olds? I am trying to loss weight and need a program that will work.
I know all of you think I am to young but I really do need to lose weight.
Answer: Well, I do know one diet I found did work for me, but it's not an easy diet to deal with, and it's free as free gets! And I'm probably going to catch a lot of flack for even suggesting this to a child, but try a water diet. It's suggested normally for about five days, but you might want to start it trying just two days to see if you can handle it. This is the way it goes...
*Side note: I lost five pounds in two days trying this diet, if that's any indication.
It helps if you have a water cleaning system, like PUR or Brita, because the diet calls for nothing but purified water. If you have something like that, this diet only costs the price of replacing the filter every three months. If you have a fresh filter, then there's no problem.
But basically, you do nothing but drink water-- and maybe occasionally eat an apple or something-- they're mostly water anyway. It's not an easy program to get through, but after three days (on the full five day program), hunger basically goes away and your body starts feeding off its stored energy (fat). However, since you're young, again, I'm suggesting maybe trying it for two days and taking a break for a day or two before doing another two days.
The basic trick of this diet is that your body starts dropping stored water and salt from the foods you eat on a regular basis. You'll have to use the bathroom a lot, but that's natural for this diet. Whatever food allergies you might have cause swelling that is what's called "False Fat", which you'll lose almost immediately (within three to five days on the full program). Again, it's a hard diet, but it does work if you really stick to it. Doing it once per month is considered 'safe', but it's basically a fasting. DO NOT do it more than once per month... it can make you sick if you do it more than that. A few days on and a few days off usually helps keep you safely fed and the weight should stay off as you continue to lose it. Remember: No more than five or six days per month.
Question: do these weight loss programs offered by kaya life, vlcc, that provide passive exercise with machine work? Answer: Yes they work if you do as per as it's written, I have got to know about few of those who have said that they don't work, but they will also say that they didn't followed there rules as well.

Question: Does anyone know any good weight loss programs? i was wondering if anyone knew any weight loss programs that really work.
Answer: i've used the weight watchers online program and its the healthiest way to go, and trust me from experience stay away from diet pills whatever you do. This program is set up for your height weight ect and gives you so many points per day that you can have the great thing about it there's no restriction on what you can eat but how much you can eat of each thing the lower the food points the more you can eat. It also keeps track of your daily exercise you should at least do something active 30 minutes a day to help burn calories. I've lost weight on this program and feel better then i have in a long time. Long story short eat healthier food and exercise there is no such thing as a quick fix its how bad do you want to lose weight and what are you willing to do to get there.
Question: With all these weight loss programs why are so many still overweight? It doesn't make sense! Is there not enough weight loss companies to help all these people or is it these people don't care to lose weight?
Answer: You must be slender or you wouldn't be asking such a silly question. Sure, a person can lose weight. The trick is to KEEP it off - and that requires a permanent change in lifestyle, not a quick fix that is "here today, gone tomorrow."
Most people don't realize the meaning of the word "diet." It means a way of eating. Diets where one only drinks protein liquids or other fads are fine for the short term, but not realistic for a lifetime habit.
And for many persons, especially the poor, fast-food eating has become a way of life. Foods high in protein, such as meat, are usually more expensive. And also, for many people who cannot afford to take ANY vacation, who haven't got a house, who are living from paycheck to paycheck, eating is about the only luxury or comfort left to them.
There is a simple answer, of course: expend more calories than you take in. Remember, NOBODY had to worry about dieting in Auschwitz.
Question: How in the world do i lose 10-20 pounds in a month without paying for all of thoes weight-loss programs? Help but i don't have money to pay for weight-loss programs or anything. Anybody's help will be greatly appreciated =)
Answer: Do not be fooled by the above post - there is no magic pill for weight loss. eat healthy, exercise and drink lots of water. Weight-loss programs are all quick fixes and rarely last. Skip them and do the healthy thing by taking care of yourself.
Question: Is it just me, or are there a lot more weight loss programs now? I think Tony Ferguson started it, and now every man and his dog has got a weight loss program involving substituting a meal replacement for a proper healthy meal.
I'm sure there were others before Tony Ferguson but they just seem to be more in your face now.
What do you think?
Answer: Its true. They have to make that money money money
So they supersize my meals and commercialize every Food Place I drive by everyday. Then they over advertise me with all these so called "wonderful" diets.
Those bastards.
Bloody hell "I am on to them I tell you"
:)
Question: anyone tried any good weight loss programs that really work? There are so many different weight loss programs out there that all say they work but can anyone tell me honestly if any worked for them???
