Question: Can eye vitamins and eye exercises really improve your vision? like the eye exercises they sell and stuff or they're jsut scams
Answer: Nope. Scams. You live in the miracle age of Lasik and wet, comfortable soft lenses!! Give good sight a chance!! :)
Question: Is there an age limit to purchase eye vitamins like alcon icaps? I am under the age of 18 and my parents are not in town. I need more eye vitamins (that my doctor tells me to take.)…..is there an age limit to purchase eye vitamins at walmart?….here is the product: http://www.walmart.com/ip/ICaps-Lutein-Zeaxanthin-Eye-Supplement-120-Tablets/10309586
Answer: I am curious why your eye doctor suggests you even take such vitamins. They would be certainly a waste of money unless you have a specific Congenital Eye Disease. No age limit...but maybe consider a simple Multivitamin for all of your nutritional needs and consume a diet high in fruits and vegetables.
Question: Should I be using Icaps eye vitamins? I was recommended by a friend to use this as I have bad eyesight. I just recently discovered that eyebright is a herb that helps with eyesight and that icaps is involved with healthy eyes (as you age). I am only 18 so am I right to assume icaps have no use to me?
Answer: I wouldn't bother - it is good to start them early particularly if there is a history of macular degeneration in your family - but 18 is too early.
A healthy balanced diet is all you need - green leafy vegetables contain all the essential vitamins and anti-oxidants that you need and that is good for you generally so that would be all you need to concentrate on at the moment.
Question: What are the eye diseases caused by lack of vitamins? I recently took a vitamin supplement for sensitivity to brightness and it works. I am wondering what other eye diseases are caused by lack of vitamins?
Answer: Vitamin deficiencies can be caused by the use of certain medications and poor diet. They increase the risk of the following eye diseases:
For some drugs like Tylenol, it may lead to cataract formation.
Steroid overuse may increase risk for macular degeneration as well as cataracts.
Poor diet may lead to blindness in children and vision loss such as macular degeneration and glaucoma in adults.

Best regards,
Question: which are the vitamins essential for the eye and good vision ? i would like to know the vitamins which are required for the eye and also like to know which vegetables provide these vitamins
Answer: If you're asking vitamins for treating nearsighted or farsightedness, sorry but there is no proven vits. for this. carrots dont work, leaffy dark green veggies dont work.
though nutrients like minerals and vitamins are essential to all parts of our body, it can only affect your vision in a way it normalize the blood flow during stress.
Question: Do you think those Occuvite vitamins for the eye really work? I'm about to buy some, Walgreens has a buy one-get one sale.
My vision is getting worse.
Answer: I strongly suggest you reconsider buying vitamins from Walgreens. Synthetic vitamins are not vitamins at all, but chemical activators that elicit an initial response from the body, but then they damage the DNA and shorten cell life. The body is incredibly intelligent and now through quantum physics experiments we know that all cells emit light frequencies and have a cellular resonance that is part of a biofield where energy controls the ability of a cell to up take nutrients or not. If you look at the bottle the vitamins come in, you will undoubtedly find that it contains excipients that have NO nutritional value whatsoever and are put into these pills to facilitate the manufacture of the pill. Magnesium Stearate or ANY stearate, like stearic acid is an immune suppressant, inhibits the uptake of nutrients into the body by as much as 80%, and is a TRANS FAT. They typically put about 5% of the total milligram content of the pill as Magnesium Stearate. There are fillers and things like sand (silica) that No value and these excipients damage the body. Pills typically have to withstand about 20,000 p.s.i. pressure when forming the pill and this high pressure creates lots of heat that damage the contents. They also use the cheapest form of nutrients possible to keep costs down. These pills are not about health and I believe when you understand the process of making them and the ingredients they put in that are dead chemicals with NO cellular resonance, it's a waste of money.
If your vision is getting worse, you should see a Certified Nutritional Therapist that understands QRA testing that can test you to find out what nutrients you are deficient in and can tell you exactly how much of them you need to restore health. They can also trace down what is causing the problems with your eyes, most likely. There are many things to consider and taking a multivitamin from Walgreens is just not going to do you any good whatsoever, in my humble opinion.
There are specific nutrients that can affect the eye health, but please understand that there are also many co-factors in the body that must be in place for you to utilize nutrients as well. If one of the co-factors, for instance, like a high stomach pH exists, you can take all the calcium you can eat and still be deficient in calcium.
It's NOT easy to be healthy in America today and doctors are NOT the people to go to in regard to nutrition. A good Certified Nutritional Therapist can work with your doctor to help you greatly and most doctors welcome the nutritional assistance.
good luck to you
Question: Are there eye drops or any vitamins that will naturally lighten up my eye color? My eyes are dark brown and I know they'll never turn blue or anything like that, but I really wish they'd lighten up to a lighter shade of brown, maybe hazel or even green. My sisters eyes lightened from brown to green so I'm pretty sure it's a possibility for me, I just want to know if there is anything I could do. Any tips or anything would be cool.
Answer: No, its in your DNA and you can't change it. Wear color contacts if it really bothers you.
Question: Good day! What's the best eye vitamins? Help me,i want to repair my eyesight..tnx? ive run through the net and read about this vitalux*plus of novartis...is the drug recommended for young people.im 22..
Answer: What is wrong with your eyesight? If you simply need glasses, no vitamins will repair that.
Vitalux is used to slow the progression of Age Related Macular Degeneration. If you don't have that problem (and you would not at age 22), then Vitalux will not help you.
The single most important thing you can do to protect the health of your eyes is to not smoke. To further protect the health of your eyes, eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, eat fish at least three times a week and do not eat red meat more than three times a week. None of those things will have any effect upon the need for glasses.
Question: Do you think the vitamins for the eye really work? They're on sale at the druggist at a buy one get one...In your opinion, is it worth money?
Answer: I tried them but couldn't get the capsules to stay in my eyes!
I have floaters too but the eye Doc said they dissolve but doesn't seem like it since there are always new ones coming in. It's the shedding of the interior surface of the eyeball.
I now have had cataract surgery in both eyes, so fear of lense problems and blindness aren't as bad. Detached lense could still happen, though.
I have thought about getting those medicines that will give you great vision. But then I put it in the same category as miracle hair growth stuff too. I don't need the hair growth stuff but I don't want to mess with my eyes.
Question: Do the eye vitamins really help to improve eye sight?
Answer: No, they don't.
Vitamins can help maintain good eye health just like vitamins do for the rest of your body , but they will not improve vision.
A refractive error of the eye that causes you to be nearsighted, or farsighted has nothing to do with the health of the eye.
Question: Too much A vitamins can cause eye irritation ? I m asking this because I ve been having troubles with my eyes (irritation + fog) over the last ten days. 20 days ago I sarted a rather heavy vitamin (ABE) treatment for another problem.
I m going to see a specialist soon, but I forgot to ask the doctor about this ...
Answer: Unless a doctor recommended it, you shouldn't take excess amounts of A or E. I've never heard of the irritation or fog as a symptom.

Question: What vitamins, fruits, vegetables, eye exercise, and even study habits prevent more poor sight after 50? Parents usually get their first study glass after 45- 50 years old, but each year they need a new stronger glass. Is there a way to help them prevent more poor sight?
Answer: You can't really stop the progression of worsening vision, but you can slow the progression by eating foods high in antioxidants (like fruits and vegetables) and trying a vision vitamin. The pharmacy sells many formulations. Most have several antioxidants, especially Lutein. Antioxidants can protect your eyes (and other tissues) from damage caused by free radicals. These vitamins aren't a miracle and won't restore vision, but over time can help to slow age-related vision loss.
Question: What vitamins are good for preserving eye health? I have great vision and I don't want to lose that as I age :(
Answer: A normal good diet that is good for your body is automatically good for your eye health too.
If your eyesight is destined to stay good, it will.
But, you will need reading glasses eventually anyway, regardless how good your eyes are. That is just normal aging , and nothing can change that once you get to your mid 40's.
There are lots of vitamins being pushed at some sites for eye health, such as beta carotene, lutein, ect...but it is all a waste of money.
Most of those vitamins are prescribed for patients with macular degeneration , but only to slow the progression, after it has been diagnosed. They do nothing to prevent it.
It's just about all genetics as to how healthy your eyes will remain.
I've been blessed with perfect sight all my life , and I've never taken vitamins, or anything else aside from a half decent diet. I'm 58 now, and only need reading glasses since I hit 47or so...no big deal.
Question: Is there any vitamins I could take in pregnancy to help babies eye development? Hi, I am expecting in April, I have an 8 yr old son who has an Astigmatism and my nine month daughter has a slight lazy eye! So I was wondering if there is anything I could take to try and help this baby with good eye development.
Answer: No. Any vitamins you take will just supplement your own stores. The developing baby will take what it is programmed to take.
