Meal Replacement Powders
Question: Are meal replacement powders really full meals? i am starting to get into health, nutritiuon and fitness. One of my big problems is i am not good in the kitchen or with preparing detailed meals etc. So if this meal replacement thing works..GREAT!! which ones? And if not, why not and what should i do instead?
Answer: It's not natural for humans to feed on powder. Our bodies need a variety of healthy foods.
Question: Is there a complete balanced Meal Replacement Powder that contains the same nutrients as a full healthy meal? I'm looking for a meal replacement powder that could be used for all meals, and not just a supplement to a workout.
Answer: No. not over the counter
Question: Is it possible to live off of a meal replacement powder like Myoplex? For reasons I'd rather not state, I'd like not to "eat" food for about 3 and a half years. No, this isn't some weight loss nonsense. But anyway, I'm just wondering if it's okay to sustain oneself on a meal replacement powder like Myoplex and also drinking V8 every day and blending a smoothie of assorted fresh fruits. And drinking water, of course.
Can I do this for a few years or will it be harmful to my health?
Answer: A liquid diet isn't impossible by all means, but if you're considering doing what "The Rock" did in his new movie where he is a dad, by blending fish and other stuff together, I'd say go for it. Our body doesn't need to actually CHEW something, per say, but it does need all the nutrition that we get from eating the things we usually do. Just make sure you are DRINKING a balanced diet of nutrition, protein, vitamins, fiber, etc. Just because V8 says it "has everything you need" doesn't necessarily mean it's going to sustain your body. good luck.
Question: Will Meal Replacement Powder be a substitute for Whey Protein? Since I am going to be buying Meal Replacement Powder which contains whey protein, would it be necessary to be buy Whey Protein separately?
Answer: You can get more bang for your buck buying a pure whey protein and then making your own meal replacement drinks. This way you can always ensure the quality of what you are drinking. Here are some whey protein smoothie recipes from buybulkwhey.com that can be used as a meal replacement.

Question: what is the cheapest meal replacement shake/powder for weight loss? I have to lose about 20 lbs within a month and a half unexpectedly. I am needing to find which meal replacement powders/shakes work the best for maximum weight loss, while supplying enough nutrients for the day. I am also not able to spend a fortune...some of the meal replacements at GNC are like $60!!! Thanks!!!
Answer: OMG DONT USE THEM!!! they are nothing but trouble, a friend of a friend used them, and yeah she lost a lot of weight (and I mean a lot) but she got sick when she tried eating normally again. And she piled all of the weight back on again.
Question: Know of any good meal replacement powdered drinks? For health reasons I have to eat in the mornings. I don't really have time or the desire to eat, so I'm hoping there is a meal replacement drink that is low in fat and calories that won't make me feel full. Any suggestions?
Answer: Muscle Milk/Lean Body/Myoplex
Those are my favorites(:
If you like vanilla ice cream, get vanilla lean body shakes. They taste amazing, but really they're super healthy! All of my suggestions have at least 20g protein in them. Lean body has 40 and Myoplex has 25. But the muscle milk only has 20.

Question: Any recommendations on any protein/ meal replacements powders? I don't eat often. I lost weight but it was unhealthy. Sometimes I don't eat at all. I know I should have 6 meals a day but I'm having one at most. I basically eat when i have food, and most of the time it's unhealthy. I moved out and I'm having a rough time. I'm going to start working out and I want to build lean muscle and get toned. What are some good meal replacements I can get at GNC?
Answer: I wish you well in your new life!! GNC will be more expensive...i would get started with a meal replacement...we have great ones, at great prices, but you really should start eating! you are doing permanent damage by starving yourself and may develop problems in the future!
Question: what is the best meal replacement? i am looking at buying a meal replacement powder due to the fact that i need to consume a huge amount of calories a day ( i stand at 6'9), can anyone reccomend me a good meal replacement that i can use alongside my weight training?
Answer: I dont like them because most have that fake sugar crap. I buy unflavored whey protein mix that with whole or 2% milk and chocolate milk mix. You basically want a protein boost for meal replacement. You can also eat some nuts to help build muscle.
Question: What is a GOOD low sugar meal replacement shake powder? I am a 26 year old male and am going to be testing for the police department in a month and a half and I need to shed some pounds. Maybe 10-15 lbs over the next couple of months. I understand diet and exercise is the way to go, I just need help on finding a really good, low sugar, protein meal replacement shake. Obviously cost is also an issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!
Answer: slimfast
Question: What is the best meal replacement powder? or shake? Im looking for one that tastes good, is low in calories and high in protein. anyone tried any good ones? what results did u have?
Answer: I know this might sound really silly, but those artificial shakes and bars always gave me gas. I never found one that didn't. I think they put sulfur in them or used dried fruit that was dried with sulfur. If you want the same results, just eat 1/2 of what you normally would for breakfast (1 peice of toast instead of 2 for example) and 1/2 of what you normally would for lunch. Drink lots of water and eat a regular dinner. Don't eat any sweets and don't eat after 6pm. Brush your teeth alot.
Question: Anyone know some good meal replacement shakes or powders? Im looking for one that tastes good, is low in calories and high in protein. anyone tried any good ones? what results did u have?
Answer: I like Slim Fast. LA Weight Loss shakes are good. If you are not a member, you can buy them on Ebay.
Question: What's your favorite meal replacement powder? Mine is Myoplex regular. I've tried others, but I keep coming back to that.
What do you like?
Answer: shi* u look good!!! {fall bac/or holla bac..}
Question: Vega: vegan protein meal-replacement powder. How is it? It's not cheap and I was just wondering if anyone tried it and if so how it tastes? What flavor is best? What did you mix it with? Or if it is disgusting?
Answer: it's nasty as hell

Question: Is it healthy to replace real food with "meal replacement" powder/ pills? My brother thinks that it's a smart idea to drink protein powder instead of eating actual food. Now's he's planning to buy vitamin pills instead of eating vegetables. I would like to know if this is in any way healthy? And is it healthy at all to take all those artificial supplements in any situation? Isn't it possible to reach the same goal without changing your whole diet into artificial foods?
Answer: its not healthy to eat ONLY meal replacement bars/shakes, I think one a day would be about all you should have, there are some nutrients that they just cant synthesize
