Question: What is the straight lifestyle and why and when did you choose to live the straight lifestyle? I'm curious. I'm gay and I have a boring lifestyle. I work, shop, pay bills etc. What is the straight lifestyle and why and when did you choose to make the choice to live a straight lifestyle?
Answer: Sexual orientation and lifestyle are two different things.
People are people and they don't take on a "lifestyle" due to one small aspect in their life.
I didn't realize we all came with a set script...
Question: What kind of lifestyle is associated with these careers? I am in college right now majoring in Biology with hopes to become a Veterinarian. However, I also have a future lifestyle in mind. I hope to have pretty set work hours everyday and I want to have time to do my own thing, preferably on the weekends. I also would like to live in a city, perhaps New York. Is that lifestyle feasible for a vet? What about a psychologist? How demanding are these jobs?
Thanks!
Answer: Veterinarians typically have Saturday hours. You might not have to work every Saturday, but you will have to work Saturdays. This is especially true when you're first starting out. However, you will normally get another day off during the week in compensation. Depending on the way your clinic works, you might have some Sunday hours as well. Also, the hours that a clinic is open is normally long. The clinic I worked at was open 7-6 and all the vets were there the whole time. Other clinics are open longer hours. You can always start your own practice though and make everyone else work the weekends, but my experience is that the practice owner actually works a lot of weekends.
Expect to work about a 45-50 hour week, especially when you're first starting out.
Also, I hope you don't think you'll have that lifestyle while in school because during your fourth year you'll be on call all night long during some of your rotations and expected to work the emergency room and ICU. They will call you in on the weekends and in the middle of the night.
A psychologist pretty much sets their own hours as well, but keep in mind that both of these careers are service based and they have to be open hours that allow working people to come in.

Question: What kind of lifestyle can a young single male have off 42k pounds and free transportation/housing in London? What kind of lifestyle can a young single male have off 42k pounds and free transportation/housing in London?
Thank you all for your input. I was worried that it would not go that far.
Answer: You'll do fine ! My partner and I earn 70k between us and from that we have to pay a mortgage and transport.
Despite these additional costs we have a very good life. We eat out twice a week, holiday at least three times a year and seldom have to think twice before buying things we want.
42k is a decent salary, particularly if your housing costs are included. Enjoy yourself - but remember to stay safe an don't let people take advantageof your generosity.
Question: What kind of lifestyle can you live off a medical assistant career? I am a freshman in high school nd medical assisting seems like something i would love to do. I've been hearing so much about it tho. :( I want to live a decent happy life with a little extra spending money on the side for whatever. Not living paycheck to paycheck. What kind of lifestyle does a medical assistant have? How much money do they make an hour? Year? Any extra info is greatly appreciated :)
Answer: The medical assistants I went to school with made $10 an hour in start in a family practice. You cannot live a comfortable life on $10 an hour. Why don't you go for a full blown nursing career? Now that is comfort! Hard work but great money!
Question: What type of lifestyle do registered nurses have? I am looking in to come college programs and I've always been interseted in the health care field.
I'd like to be a registered nurse for a hospital. What sort of lifestyle could I expect. What the avrage salary of a registered nurse. Is it better to work in a hospital or dr office.
I am independent, hard working, and enjoys a challange.
Anything would be great. I'd like some answers from real people and not the reps at the colleges in my area.
Answer: Hospitals will pay more than doctor's offices or clinics or nursing homes. Some hospitals offer 12 hour shifts but they are not required. Hospitals in general can be a stressful environment, but there are areas which are more stressful than others, such as the ER, OR, ICU, labor & delivery, etc.
Nursing has a high rate of burn out. This could be attributed to a number of factors including the nursing shortage and facilities being short staffed, so the RNs on duty have more patients to care for, some choose to work a lot of overtime because the money is good but they work themselves too hard. Some just don't know how to deal with stress very well. Some sit in jobs they don't like for many years simply because they have earned the seniority in their job, which is hard to give up, but if you hate your job, others around you know it, and your patients know it too because it is often reflected in the care you give.
You have to really have your heart in your job. You need to be empathetic and understanding and non-judgmental. You have to be the kind of person who can leave your own personal beliefs and biases at home. You can't be afraid of cleaning up messes, dealing with difficult people, etc.
Being a nurse is very rewarding in many ways. The good definitely outweighs the bad, for me anyway.
Starting salary for a RN in a hospital environment will depend on where you live, but generally speaking expect to make about $25-$30 per hour to start. And don't try to work full time 40 hrs per week. Almost nobody does that. You will earn benefits at most places at well below 40 hrs. My hospital gives benefits at 32 hours per pay period (every two weeks).
Question: What is the lifestyle like being a Pilot living in Canada or the US? Hi, I was wondering for all the pilots out there, what is your lifestyle like? Also, do you know:
If you are a pilot living in Canada but working for a US airline are you away from home (staying in the US) most of the time?
Answer: If you intend to fly for a US Airline, you will need to either be a US Citizen, or have a Green Card (I believe this is the correct term for the type of work permit that you need. Basically it will need to be unrestricted with no time limit). Since 9/11, I am not even certain that this will work.
Most airlines work using a very strict seniority system based on date of hire onto the pilot's seniority list. A person in another craft who somehow manages to get hired into the pilot group, starts over with a new date of hire for the purposes of pilot seniority.
Depending on the type of bidding system used, the pilot contract, work rules, etc. a junior pilot might have as few as 10-12 days off in a month, and a senior pilot may have 21 days off. This only tells part of the story; the senior guy may be flying 8 or more hours a day, while the junior pilot may be flying 4 hours a day. Actually, there are few pilots who are at the ends of the curve, most fall somewhere between 14 and 17 days off. Keep in mind that your schedule: days off, which days off, where you fly, hours per day, etc., all depend on your relative seniority in the sub-base(domicile+aircraft+position). A pilot who is a very senior First Officer in one base may be a very junior Captain or FO in another. It is simply a matter of who else is in the base, and where does a pilot fall into the list. As a matter of fact, I am a fairly senior Captain on the 737 in my sub-base(City+B737+Captain), and I can't even get into any of the B777 sub-bases because guys senior to me have filled all the slots.
OK, so you are in a base. Depending on how schedules are built, somewhere between 10-20% of the pilots will be reserve. This means sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. There are different reserve systems, even within the same airline. There might be a long-call reserve and a short call reserve, or only short call reserve. In a long call reserve, a pilot has a long time to get to a flight(let's say 12 hours), in a short call the time is shorter (let's say 3 hours). In this case the airline will have some in each category, and pay them differently. Some airlines have continuous reserve; your are on call 24 hours a day on your work days, others are a little more sensible.
Once you hold a line, and have some control over your life it is a pretty good job. As some would say, fly from cocktail party to cocktail party. And the pay isn't bad either.
You asked about living in one place and working in another. This is called commuting. Most airlines don't have a problem with this; I believe that some require that a pilot live in-base while on probation. It is just a matter of getting to work, just like driving across town. There are complications such as canceled flights, weather delays, oversold trips, etc. Your airline won't really care about those things; they just want you to get to work, and get to work on time. Your ability to commute from one city to another will depend on the frequency of service between the cities, and distance. If you have to commute 8 hours to get to work, you will lose two days every time that you take a trip; one day to get to work, and one day to get home. Even worse than an 8 hour commute would be a two leg commute, or even a two leg, two airline commute. They do exist. On the other hand, if the commute is an hour flight with service every hour, then it can be what is called an easy commute.
In today's dollars, the cost to get all the training is about 70K. After spending this much, you can luck out and be at a commuter airline in a year, or it might take 2-5 years. Once at the commuter, you can make the jump to a major in 2-5 years. If you picked the right major, and you can keep you nose clean, then you are fixed for life. Pick the wrong major, and your life can be pure hell.
Do all this really right, and you end your career making about 250K, really wrong, and you are selling cars or a greeter at Walmart. Most who do it reasonably right, will end up making around 150-200K working around 14-16 days a month.
Question: How are your lifestyle and your attitude related? Also;
Can you have a healthy lifestyle and an unhealthy attitude.Explain
Please answer! This is a question for health class.
Answer: First question: Your attitude affects your lifestyle. If you were feeling unhappy, your may be living a depressed/sad/slow lifestyle.
You can have a healthy lifestyle while having an unhealthy attitude. It just depends on the kind of person you are. Maybe you are the kind of person who likes to hide their feelings inside, while on the outside you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Maybe you're the kind of person who has an unhealthy attitude, but likes to keep their lifestyle healthy.
Question: What's the difference between Japan lifestyle and New Zealand lifestyle? I live in New Zealand and I'm currrently making an essay about "living in Japan or not". I thought i can include differences between Japan and New Zealand lifestyle for my speech. But if you have other suggestions on what I can put on my essay, it would be great. Thanks.
Answer: I think you could start off with a brief history of each country so your reader will understand how these countries came to have certain lifestyles. Then you can talk about the similarities and differences between the lifestyles of each country.
Here are some examples of each country's lifestyle:

Question: What was the daily lifestyle for the clergy member in medieval times? URGENT!!!!!!!! Thanks for answering...... i need to write a whole page on it, but I can't find any info about the clergy daily lifestyle. can u write a little bit or give me a website or webpage that is based on the clergy members.
Answer: In "Life in a village medieval Frances and Joseph Gies writes: "Three services are normally held in the parish church on Sundays, Matins, Mass and Vespers. The Mass was also said Every day, the priests say canonical hours, three hours apart for their own benefit. The Mass was in Latin, is generally administered communion Easter only. Were uncommon in the sermons of the thirteenth century. Instead, the priest could spend time with a lesson, instruct the faithful on articles of faith, the seven deadly sins, sacraments, or can be read from a collection of sermons in English, though these books are not widely distributed yet. One of the main functions of the parish priest was to instruct their parishioners. For he was teaching children the Creed, the Our Father, Hail, and the Ten Commandments. William of Pagula recommended that the priest gives advice not only religious but practical: to tell the mothers to feed their own children, not letting the throttle to bed or tie them in their cribs or leave them unattended; AD vising against wear and the magical arts, giving advice on sexual morality and marriage. Ju's epriest Adults isntruction stem in large part by the confession, in which morality exmained not only the penitent, but their religious knowledge. The priest trainer interrogation manuals regretted his behavior. The penitent must confess his sins, fully and without reservation. Epen E must coincide with sin, a sin faint light, a sin for vehicles heavy. Above all, the priest must learn by example. His preaching was of little value if I lived a bad life. The sins that has been particularly warned agaisnt the indicated that it was more likely to fall. You must breed, it must be ture, it must be gentle in word and deed. "Drunkenness and gluttony, pride and sloth and envy, all these must be saved. "The pirest must leave the taverns, trade, fight and shooting, Hawking, hunting and dancing." markets and fairs, I forbid. " The msut wear "clothing honest" and not gentlemanly "the pelvis and shoulder belt. His beard and crown should be shaved. It msut be hospitable with rich and poor countries. "Most people in medieval times long before he rose and went to bed much earlier than we do now, because they were more dependent on natural light as we do. The priest would be premature and meat ready to eat a light breakfast, which at that time was usually the bread and beer, and perhaps cold. Mass probably originated emorning century, and the main meal was eaten at noon. Depending on how comfortable the priest could have several courses for lunch. It would probably be a housewife to cook for him, though some priests, but were supposed to be bachelors, masters did. The rest of the day, he could spend time teaching, confessions, visiting the poor, etc. Some days, I'd weddings, baptisms or funerals, to celebrate. And there many religious festivals throughout the year where there are special Christmas services cereomines (which lasted 13 days in medieval times), Candlemass, Easter, Pentecost, Corpus Christi, Lammas, Michel and all the saints, were opportunities for special celebrations. There would be a fixed schedule of daily activities because of their activities should vary according to what might be needed in the work of the parish.

Question: How can I promote a lifestyle of eating more meals in and taking brown bag lunches to work? I live quite the opposite now. I'm always in a hurry and going from place to place, so instinctively I order fast food. Sadly, it has reflected poorly on my pocketbook and waistline. What ways have you promoted a healthier lifestyle?
Answer: first off, don't by crap at the store. like potato chips and shit. plan you meals. i know it takes time but get serious and you can do anything. give it a shot for at least 3 months and when you see the difference you will get more motivated. also, join a gym and no matter what distracts you go 5 days a week. quit smoking if you do and quit drinking. you'll get in shape super fast and save money and haggard bs food like mcdonalds
Question: How hard is it to maintain a different lifestyle? I'm 16 going to 17 this year and am curious about something.
Let's say I am on a bodybuilding or muscle mass gaining program or of a similar sort. After being in it for a few years, I've gained muscle mass, self-esteem, look and feel good, established healthy diet and exercises into my lifestyle.
Question is, is it easier to maintain this new lifestyle to keep healthy and fit, considering factors like work and other responsibilities and factors that might hinder me from sticking to my new way of life?
Answer: Changing to a different lifestyle is what's hard sometimes. For that you need a strong motivation to help keep you focused on changing bad habits into good ones.
However, maintaining a lifestyle that makes you look and feel good, and sticking to the habits of eating a healthy diet and exercising is not that hard. In fact, I find that when I start eating the wrong stuff and I skimp on my exercise times, I start feeling sluggish and irritated. It's much easier and I feel a lot better if I stick to the good life.
Question: How do I start building towards living this lifestyle? I want to have this lifestyle where I attend social events all the time, meet people, talk with people, dress glamorously and live a priviledged lifestyle overall. How do I start building towards this? Parents are wealthy, but don't approve of this style of living.
Answer: Don't plan to live it but start living it. Don't also talk about it to family members or friends. They're just going to be judgmental. It's better you do what you please. If there are lessons to be learned or decisions that you have to adjust then you will when the time comes. Nothing to be stressed about at this moment. I know the way you want to live may require plenty of money but what you can do is do your best to live within your means at this moment while doing the stuff that don't require much money such as attending social events etc....Eventually you will see whether you're getting satisfaction from the way you've chosen to live life. One thing I know for sure is in life each moment is precious and worth living not matter how you live it. Being grateful for what you have and enjoying life in every stages of it is priceless. Good luck to you!
