Question: How should I prepare for my Deca regionals competion? On Saturday, I am going with my high school to the Deca regional competition. I am in the individual marketing management series category. I am just wondering if any people who have had experience in Deca can provide suggestions on how I can prepare/study. Thanks!

Answer: really? i am doing the same catogary- i did it last year as well- the questions are pretty general I have a few multiple choice tests from previous years but i don't have too many case studies- when you say how can i prepare for it- do you mean in terms of what you should study- like exampler questions- or do you mean like generally what you should wear and how you should respond to judge's questions? our regionals aren't till november 28th- i don't know why yours are so early

Question: Is DECA important in getting into a competitive business school? I don't have any room for marketing/business class in high school; therefore, I can't join DECA. Would that hurt me if I want to get into schools like Stern or Chicago?

Answer: I have taken 0 business classes, read 0 business books, and I still won 1st place in all of California for my Internet Marketing Business Plan (which won 4th place at the International competition). So JOIN DECA!!! If your DECA chapter only allows business students in, talk to your administrator about the biases that your school is condoning, and get them to let you join DECA. It is a priceless experience, and you meet really awesome people.

Question: How to put two players on wii deca sports? I have a wii, with two controlers, i bought the wii deca sports and i've tried putting the two players but it does not work? Any clue how to connect it? Please answer I cant wait to play!! Thanks.

Question: what is the difference between wii sports and deca sports 2? I am considering buying two packages for my two early 30's adult children. One has a wii sports game and the deca sports 2. The other package has wii sports and all the fitness stuff in it. Both have the tennis, golf, baseball, racing wheel attachments. Recommendations?

Answer: Get the Wii Sports one because Deca Sports 2 isn't very good under my opinion.

Question: What do colleges think of the DECA program? I've done DECA for about 2 years now. i placed 7th in the national competiton and 2nd in the state competition. How will DECA look on a college application? I always would like to go into the nursing field.

Answer: I have been a part of DECA for 3 years at my high school. It looks exceptional on college applications because not every school offers DECA and it is rare that students would partake in it. Make sure that when you have college interviews to talk about DECA and your experiences in it. It will help you get into the college, trust me.

Question: What do you do during high school DECA meetings? Hey I was wondering if anyone here was in high school Deca because my school just started the club and were kind of lost on what activities we can do to make the club fun because right now it's really boring. Any advice?

Answer: Try to do fun activities like -a teambuilding ropes course (look it up online at Waterhouse) -Go bowling -Research the Deca competition -You will need to do a Fall Leadership Conference - Sell things, like wreaths or something (ex. Girl Scouts sell cookies) At our school DECA is a class and we work all year to win, Plus, our school came first n the Nation 3/6 years!!!!

Question: Can DECA advertising campaign be an international product? Im doing advertising campaign for DECA tournament, but i wanted to do it on something not in the United States (I want to do great wall of china). Am i allowed to do so?

Answer: Well the DECA is international, so yes, I guess it would be just fine.

Answer: You should be able to, the Wii Mote clips into the wheel, so it's more or less the same as using the Mote.

Question: How exactly do i join deca or fbla? I'm planning on taking a business class during the school year at a local community college. I was in fbla last year b/c i was in a business class at my school. If it's not at the school can i still join fbla?

Answer: At the college level its called PBL. If your college doesn't have it, you are always welcome and encouraged to start it yourself. All you need is the registration packet from your states FBLA and then a adviser to back you up in founding it. Then just become the president and recruit!
