Question: I have just had my tcm replaced in my 2001 dodge intreprid? After three weeks of running great, last night it shifted hard from reverse to drive and then my check engine light came on and the car wouldn't shift into second gear, all of the fuses are good but I am totally flabergasted by this. The Chrysler/Dodge dealer hooked it up to the machine and the tcm was the only problem that was detected and now this... Anyone know anything about tcm/pcm?
Answer: if it seems like it wont shift gears, it probably is in limp mode, it could be that the transmission control module that was put in was defective, it could be the input/output speed contol sensors are bad, Dodges are notorious for bad transmissions though, My 2004 is in the shop as we speak because I was experiencing similiar issues, i finally dropped the pan on the tranny to check the fluid and filter and found alot of metal shavings in the pan, so its now being rebuilt for about $1500. Good luck to ya
Question: How come the TCM channel can show nudity? I was flipping through a couple days ago and there was a completely nude women on TCM. Whats the deal, I thought that basic cable can't show nudity.
Answer: TCM is not part of the basic cable package, at least not with my local Comcast offerings. But no matter; it's a cable/satellite-only channel and the standards for cable are much more liberal than for over-the-air TV in the U.S. Nudity to some degree is rather common on a great many cable-only channels. Nude scenes in motion pictures are edited out for over-the-air broadcast, but usually left as-is on the cable-only channels.
Question: Does anyone know what the T and the C and the M stand for in TCM ? TCM is a corporation from Japan that manufactures forklifts and other equipment. I am trying to find out what the letters stand for, If anything.
Answer: They sure don't bother to say anywhere on their website ( http://www.tcmglobal.net/company/index_sn01.html ), do they. It gives what all the other acronyms stand for, but not that one.
Maybe the T stands for Tokyo. Maybe the M is for motors or machinery. But maybe they stand for Japanese words.
There is an email address you can write to and ask at the bottom of this page: http://www.tcmglobal.net/network/index.html
Question: Where is the TCM and TRS located on a 97 audi a8 quattro? TCM being the transmission control module and TRS being the transmission range sensor? Thanks.
Answer: you can get this question answered on Audi world forums i have a 97 A6 and the TCM is located on the top front of the tranny itself. and they can be prone to getting wet and failing if the rubber seals go bad but im not sure on the A8
Question: What does this TCM code mean on a 1990 Honda Accord? I have a 1990 Honda Accord. The transmission has taken to getting stuck in 2nd when the engine is warm. When it's cold everything works fine. My husband checked the TCM code. The red light is flashing 6 short, 1 long, 5 short and repeat. However we can't find out what this code means. Does anybody know what the code means or where we can find a list of the codes for the Honda Accord? We already tried the official Honda site with no luck. Thanks

Question: What's the name of Mob movie that appeared on TCM a few years ago? A few years ago there was a movie that showed on TCM about a guy who was dating a mob bosses daughter. She either didn't want him to know that he was a mob boss or that he was a mob boss pretending to go straight(but not really and she knew it). I think it stared either John Cusack or Mathew Broderick, but that's not for sure. I only saw a few seconds of that movie, and it looked interesting enough to try and find again but I have failed to do so. Can anyone help me out?
Answer: Upon reading your description one movie came to mind called "The Freshman". It stars Matthew Broderick, Marlon Brando, Penelope Ann Miller, and Bruno Kirby. Broderick plays a freshman in film school who has just moved to New York and is pick-pocketed at the train or bus station. As he tracks down the thief, he becomes wrapped up in a secret club that feasts on endangered species made into gourmet meals. Marlon Brando plays the "godfather" of the local mafia who helps head up the club. His character was the inspiration for Coppola's academy award winning movie "The Godfather", so in a way Brando is reviving his famous role for which he won the oscar. The movie is filled with all sorts of twists and turns and not to mention a komodo dragon. Penelope Ann Miller plays Brando's daughter and Bruno Kirby is Brando's nephew/thief. I found the movie absolutely hilarious and a little outlandish with lots of unexpected surprises. I hope this is the movie you are thinking of a if not, you might check it out anyway.

Answer: SPLEEN PAIN, DISEASES, Infection, ENLARGED SPLEEN
Hypersplenism/ Enlarged spleen
Hypersplenism is a type of disorder which causes the spleen to rapidly and prematurely destroy blood cells.
Causes & symptoms
Hypersplenism may be caused by a variety of disorders. Sometimes, it is brought on by a problem within the spleen itself and is referred to as primary hypersplenism. Secondary hypersplenism results from another disease such as chronic malaria, rheumatoid arthritis, tuberculosis, or polycythemia vera, a blood disorder.
Symptoms of hypersplenism include easy bruising, easy contracting of bacterial diseases, fever, weakness, heart palpitations, and ulcerations of the mouth, legs and feet. Individuals may also bleed unexpectedly and heavily from the nose or other mucous membranes, and from the gastrointestinal or urinary tracts. Most patients will develop an enlarged spleen, anemia, leukopenia, or abnormally low white blood cell counts, or thrombocytopenia, a deficiency of circulating platelets in the blood. Other symptoms may be presents that reflect the underlying disease that has caused hypersplenism.
An enlarged spleen is one of the symptoms of Malaria, Cirrhosis of the liver, leukaemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, polycythaemia, etc. Spleen enlarges when called on to remove massive numbers of red blood cells, defective cells, or bacteria from circulation. Splenomegaly occurs in about 10% of systemic lupus erythematosus patients. Sometimes, it is caused by recent viral infection, such as mononucleosis.

I do not yet have any equipment, so I want to know what to buy if this is possible. I have heard that there are programs to prevent you from copying movies from cable, like you used to be able to do?

Question: What is the best school for acupuncture/TCM? This is of course subjective, but are there any schools for TCM out there, either in the West or in Asia, that have the reputation for excellence as, for instance, a Harvard or a Yale in other fields?
Answer: In the West - do U mean the United States? if so, there are a lot of good TCM schools here. You can find out by attending their Open Houses - check out their pre-requisites - the more they require, the more extensive your training will be. In the States, the NCCAOM runs an examination for students and apprentices on TCM - if you pass the test, you get a diplomate status. You can check out the NCCAOM.org website. You can also ask the school the percentage and number of students who pass the NCCAOM - it's difficult to distinguish if the student passes the first try or their second - but at least you get an idea. You should also ask who teaches at the school - a lot of them employ physicians from China, practitioners who had been in practice for many years with well -trained knowledge... And of course, talk to the students who had graduated - most schools have a list of alumni you can contact. Good luck.
Question: If I want to learn TCM and Acupuncture and Herbology, where would I go to learn in the Midwest? I live in southern MO and do not know what to look for in a school of this nature? I know the West coast has the best options but moving there is just not an option at this time? Any suggestions?
Answer: Hopefully these courses offered by these 'colleges' will die out now that more people are becoming aware that alt med has limited if any value.
It would be a shame for you to waste so much of your life and money on something that could be banned by law in a few years.
There are plenty of credible health courses out there that will give you a shot at a proper career.
Question: Whats the title of the foreign horror film that aired on TCM April 30th? It was black and white, aired around 1 AM, had to do with the occult. I think it was about a succubus who fell in love with a human. He had a blind sister. It ended with the camera zooming in on this cheesy looking goat-man. Any ideas?
Answer: Incubus (1965)
starring William Shatner, Allyson Ames, Eloise Hardt, Ann Atmar (who plays the man's sister~committed suicide about a year after completing this movie), Milos Milos (who plays the incubus~murdered Mickey Rooney's estranged wife then killed himself about a year after completing the movie)
IMDb synopsis:
Kia is a succubus, luring to their final perdition men who already have sinful habits and libertine inclinations. She tires of this, it's too easy, and these souls are going to Hell anyway. She wants to match wits and charm with someone who is good. So, against the advice of her sister Amael, Kia seeks out Marc, a man who has already faced death with courage. After a night together, Kia finds that not only is Marc's goodness still intact, but she has been ravaged by love. In anger, she and Amael conjure an incubus to deal with Marc. The incubus starts with Marc's sister, Arndis. Who will win the struggle for souls? // All of the dialogue is in Esperanto, with English subtitles.
TRIVIA:
After this film generated acclaim in film festivals around the world and in successful theatrical showings in France, a lab mistakenly destroyed the negative and all prints; it was lost never released on video. Then, after years of searching, one print was discovered in the permanent collection of the Cinémathèque Française in Paris. From that sole surviving print, this film has been digitally restored with remastered sound. It has since been re-circulated online, generating a new fan base.

NOTE: Not everything turned out badly. A year later, Shatner ended up on "Star Trek", and the cinematographer received his first Oscar nomination.

I watched it and videotaped it since it is such a rare and truly obscure film. // Now, I also can watch it at YouTube if I'd like!
Question: Why does TCM only show the very old movies? Why can't they show something 80's and above? I like the old movies but can't they be mixed up with something fresher?
Answer: I actually saw "On Golden Pond" (1981) and "Unforgiven" (1992) on that channel! So, they don't only show the older ones, but they do it often.
Anyway TCM is known for showing old movies. Why? I don't know.
Question: Is recalibrating the TCM and engine part of a warranty transmission service when the solenoid is replaced?
It is a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer SUV V6
Answer: I don't know what you drive..
So I can't give you a good answer.
It shouldn't need recalibrating.
Question: Does anyone know the name of a movie played on TCM a couple of months ago? It is a about an older man who lives with his sister and owns a newspaper company and he dates and falls in love with his much younger secretary. They eventually get engaged but drama ensues that prevents them from getting married.
Answer: Beats me but I know if you go on the TCM website they actually have a list of all the movies they have shown broken down by month. So you can look at the list for November '09 and see what movie played on a exact day and hour. TCM has themed days everyday, so they probably had a romance day or something like that to help you narrow down your search.
If you don't fully understand what I'm talking about, go find the list and then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
