Body Detox Detoxify The Body
Question: Is it better to get a colon cleanse or to detoxify the body? I was gonna do a natural detox juicer searched for body detox and this site drnatura.com came up. The testimonies etc were disgusting . But I know its true I couldn't even look at the pics because my biggest fear is worms and just reading made me freak out. But I want a cleanse but would a colon cleanse from the Dr. be just as effective as the natural stuff.
Answer: A colon cleanse is good. It will give you lots of exra fiber to flush out your colon. A detox like you described is to rid the body of toxins and parasites. i have read that you can start with a detox and then do the colon cleanse.
Question: How can I detox my body at home? I am a recovering alcoholic, however I feel that there is still residual toxins in my body. I am very fatigued, I have mood swings, and I do not feel very healthy like I did when I was in 21 day inpatient treatment. I know that going to the chiropractor always makes me feel better are there other ways to detoxify my body and get my glow and energy back?
Another indication to me that I have built up toxins is that I have been getting panic attacks with increasing regularity.
Answer: I'm a recovered alcoholic. 11 years.
1. Exercise.
2. See a doctor about the panic attacks.
Good luck.

I've kind of "abused" it lately with STRESS, alcohol, pills (over the counter, antibiotics, prescription), lack of sleep for many months..
Answer: Lots of water and cranberry juice. Helps to flush the system.

Question: how can i detoxify my body effectively? how often should i detox my body? is it the often the better?
Answer: Hey! I thought I'd share with you a simple apple diet and detoxification routine that you can follow without making any major changes to your daily routine.
Here's what you do:
Eat nothing but apples - any variety you like - whenever you are hungry, from the time that you wake up to the time that you usually have dinner. Apples are a good choice for a diet and cleansing program because they don't tend to contribute to dental caries the way that large amounts of other fruits like bananas, dates, and oranges do.
For dinner on your apple diet, you can have what you usually have. But it would be best if you could have your dinner meal consist of at least 50% green vegetables.
Here are a few examples of optimal dinner meals on the apple diet:
Example A
Steamed broccoli
Brown rice
Avocado
Healthy salad dressing
Example B
Steamed kale
Quinoa
2 organic eggs, scrambled
Healthy salad dressing
Example C
Steamed asparagus, spinach, and green peas
3 ounces of wild salmon
Healthy salad dressing
If you find yourself looking for a snack later on at night, go back to munching on apples.
Hope this helps!
Question: What are good products to detoxify my body? I want my body to go though detox. Not because i need to pass a drug screen, but just because i want to be healthier and get the toxins out of my body. Do you know any good products?
Answer: There's always the lemonade diet, I've never done it but its suppose to work really well. (It's not actually a diet, all the weight you might lose will most likely come back)
Question: How is a body wrap done to detoxify it? At the spa how is a body wrap done (what materials are used) ? to help detox the body?
Answer: I honestly don't believe it does anything... the skin can absorb medication, like dmso and other topicals like lidocaine, but not the mud baths and goop they put on you at the spa...
Most of that stuff is strictly feel good, not actually medicinal.
Question: Is it possible to detoxify my body while trying to gain weight? I am a 21 year old, 6'2" tall male, weighing 181 pounds.
I'm rather skinny, and I'm trying to put on weight - about 10 lbs.
However, I've recently been concerned about my body's overall health, for a few reasons (past years of eating more than my fair share of daily fast food, and lots of it...........as well as the fact that I'll be off of my parents health insurance, and thus I want to keep any potential health costs low).
Is it possible for me to GAIN WEIGHT, while trying to DETOXIFY my body?
I've heard of diets to detox your body, but all of the ones I'm aware of include skimpy meals or food intake.
I'm currently on a high-calorie/high-protein diet (since it's otherwise EXTREMELY difficult, if not, impossible for me to put on weight, no matter how much I eat).
It's already super hard for me to put on weight, and I have gained about 7 or 8 pounds in the last 4 months or so, and don't want to start all over again.
Is it possible? If so, please give explanation.
Answer: The popular concept of "detoxifying" the body has no basis in fact. It seems people feel more virtuous and therefore "cleaner" after major diarrhea and a lot of urination with little food intake.
Your liver and kidneys detox your body, 24/7. Any arterial plaque from eating bad fats will not go away on a "detox" diet. Exercise will help you have healthy arteries.
To be healthy, eat plenty of vegetables and eat fish twice a week. Get a lot of fiber in your diet, and avoid saturated fats, fast food, and packaged junk snacks.
Question: How do I detoxify my body? I have heard of things like the master detox diet and all that other stuff... but I just want to take a week and try a detoxifying diet. I just don't know exactly what to do. I do go to school therefore I still want to have energy, so what do you guys recommend? Oh and no I am not trying to do this to loose weight.... even though that will happen by the time i finish the diet, right now I really want to detoxify my body. SO help please :)
Answer: Detox improves health, energy, resistance to disease, mental state, digestion, as well as aiding in weight loss. Many dietitians, and doctors, however, regard 'detox diets' as less effective than drinking a glass of water, and view 'detox diets' as generally harmless but a waste of money."Detox" diets usually suggest that water, or fruits and vegetables compose a majority of one's food intake. Limiting this to unprocessed (and sometimes also non-GM) foods is often advocated. Limiting or eliminating alcohol is also a major factor, and drinking more water is similarly recommended. Question: How can I detox my body of fluor? I have heard that baking soda detoxifies Fluoride from my body.
the question is: How much baking soda shall I take and for how long? Give me specific details, please.
Daniel.
Answer: So the purpose of baking soda is to balance out your pH; Although acidic, lemon water works just as well and is much safer. You need to pee it out and possibly replenish your calcium.
Either way check this out, this should help: http://www.naturalnews.com/026605_fluoride_fluorides_detox.html
Question: What is the substance in the de-tox foot pads that detoxifies your body and turns the pads dark? Does it really work? I saw something on a TV show that had a lady soaking her feet in a tub of water with something added to detox her body and it turned the water black after about 30 minutes. Snake Oil???? Or really possible?
Answer: They are a scam. There is tea hidden in the white pad. Water trapped by sweaty feet turns the pad brown. The FDA just released a warning about the safety of the substances found in some recently imported pads.
The foot bath is comprised of metal that rusts when it comes in contact with ionic/charged water. It is also a scam.
Question: Does anyone have a recommendation on detoxifying my body? I nned to detox my body, any suggestions? I have a fasting tea I bought at the supermarket, but it is GROSS. I would really prefer not to drink it. Any suggestions?
Answer: By going on a juice or water fast and drinking 12 oz.of warm lemon water every morning. That is what I usually do. The lemon water may taste a little weird at first, but your skin should look absolutly amazing by the third day and you will feel great.
Question: i want to detoxify my body from all the oils and fats....are there any? home remedies in doing so?
how can i make a detox drink to make my body healthy again?
Answer: You can't detoxify your body from ALL the oils and fats. That's simply impossible. Having no fat is humanly impossible.
What you should do is change your diet completely. Cut out the junk food, fast food, carbonated drinks, and stuff of that sort. In a few weeks you'll be feeling alot better. Stick to whole foods and non-processed foods; it's the best way to go.
Question: Anyone know if the Takara Detox Foot Patches really work for detoxifying the body?
Answer: I just read this news article that said that none of those detox foot pads work.. so, nope.
Question: What is some drinks I can make that will clean and detox my body from all the bad mad I eat.? I was reading about you need to cleanse and detoxify your boby before you rush into eating right.I would like to try this just to see how I feel after the cleanse and detox.
From all the bad food I eat..lol
Answer: cranberry juice
Question: Can you really detox your body through your feet? I have seen at some salons/spas that they have you sit in a chair and put your feet in this almost water-like solution with some sort of electronic detoxifying machine that supposedly sucks out the toxins in your body through your feet. The end result is a very brownish and very murky water-like solution that your feet have been soaking in for like 20 minutes. Is this end result really your body being detoxified through your feet or is it some chemical reaction that happens when your feet meet this water-like solution for a few minutes? If it does work, how well does it REALLY work? Also, is there something you can do at home that REALLY works? Thanks!
Answer: No! My sister is a doctor and she says that is pure crap and a marketing hoax. Those pad things they sell as de-tox pads you place on your feet don't work either.
She says if we could de-tox through our feet doctors would tell their patients to do it, and all hospitals would do it...some people, such as diabetics, can actually cause damage to themselves by soaking their feet....
This is pure crap...plain old epsom salts will make the water look murky...save your money and have your honey rub your feet...they won't be de-toxed, but the will feel better, feel softer, and it won't cost you a thing! (Except maybe a back-rub in exchange!)
