Question: is eating to much calcium chews bad for a diet if eating over the recommended amount? i love the taste like flavored candy but healthy and loaded with vitamins is that bad?
Answer: Usually, your body absorbs what it needs and the rest of the vitamins are flushed out of your system. Be careful with to much calcium and not enough fluid intake.
Question: Why do antiacids taste like candy? I swear rolaids wild cherry chews are so good. it's like candy and calcium at the same time
Answer: We wouldn't use them if they tasted like chalk, which Alka Seltzer tastes like.
Question: What is wrong with my teeth?!? i brush them, i dont drink pop hardly at all, i drink water 99% of the time.i dont eat alot of candy or chew alot of gum, because i cant.they always hurt.theres always one tooth bothering me, i get that one fixed and another one starts!the dentist has me memorized im there so much.its pretty embarrassing.is my body not getting calcium, or wat could it be?there killing me!its been going on for about 2 yrs now.
Answer: Instead of going to the dentist, maybe you should go to the doctor, chances are you may need to undergo routine blood tests to check if you have a deficency. Its either that or maybe your family has bad genetics when it comes to teeth? Does anyone else in your family experience the same thing or possibly have bad teeth, if so then its genetic and i would suggest instead of constantly repairing your teeth, get the new implants and rid of your teeth otherwise you will be spending too much money on fixing something that constantly is breaking.
Question: What's up with my teeth?!? I've recently noticed that the end of my two front teeth have lost a bit of their color. Their kind of transparent-ish. About four days ago, I bought some ACT mouthwash and I've been using it 2-3 times a day and I can already see the color starting to return (even if it isn't perfectly white. I've read some stuff about the whitening strips that's made me change my mind about using them). I brush three times a day and floss.
And, I was told I have a calcuim issues since I'm lactose-intolerant so I've been taking calcium pills for about two weeks and will that help what ever is going on?
I drink pop sometimes. My last one was two weeks ago. And I can't remember the time before that. But, I do know that my mother having me use a hard tooth brush for so long couldn't have been good! I switched to soft a couple of years ago because it didn't make emuch sense to me to use a hard tooth brush when the dentist always give you really soft ones.
I don't eat much candy or chew a lot of gum.
And, I'm 16 if that matters with an extreme fear of the dentist. Just so ya know.
Answer: Another good thing to help the enamel is
MI paste (google it)
and the same active ingredient is in Trident Gum
'White' version and 'Extra Care' it is called ReCaldent....
Question: I need a root canal and my wisom teeth removed, can it be done at once? My wisdom teeth have not begun to grow in, but last year, my dentist told me that by looking at my X-Rays, they were going to give me trouble and said I had about 2 years to get them removed until they started breaking through my gums.
Long story short, I had a filling. It was too big and made chewing god awful. I chipped it (flossing no less) a while back after a root canal. I didn't have a crown over it because it was $300 (and my mom didn't have $300 to spare. She was in the hospital earlier in the year and fell behind on bills. I'm 16 BTW). It did have something in the inside though (duh). So, I need to get it drilled down and my crown put on( I also need a replacement. I had a crown on another tooth years ago, but the first time I touch candy in months and it pulls the sucker right off)
Anways, I am so terrified of the dentist I can't walk in there without shaking. The smell, the sharp instruments, the chair and people playing around in my mouth. I get it sounds foolish, but I'm freaking out just thinking about it.
I was thinking of getting them done soon (get a day or two off school. lol) but I'd love to get everything done at once so I can have 5 months and 3 weeks of peace. Also, when I get my wisdom teeth removed, would I have to go to an oral surgeon since they haven't grown in? And, would they put me to sleep? I don't think I'd make it if they didnt't!
I've always had dental issues even as a small child. I had something called bottle mouth and it sent me on a path to hell (I'm a bit dramatic). My doctor also said something about not getting enough calcium since I'm lactose intolerant. I brush 3 times a day and floss all the time.
Answer: No....usually different doctors doing the procedures...plus that is waay too much work to be done at once in an office setting
Question: What's better to take... calcium chews or calcium pills? Calcium chews are like a candy you chew on and the others are for swallowing.
Is there more of a benefit to one?
Answer: make sure it doesn't say calcium carbonate because that form is poorly absorbed.Calcium is best absorbed in an acidic environment, so calcium citrate is the best absorbed supplemental form of calcium. if you get the chews, make sure you chew it thoroughly.
