Question: Dieting tips? Does anyone know any good dieting tips? I am trying to loose weight and need some advice on which foods are good and excersising. So any tips would be great!!! THANKS
Answer: In the morning, drink only a cup of black coffee before you do your cardio workout. Go for a walk or jog, then come home, shower and eat breakfast. For breakfast look for more carbs (fuel) than protein (food). Eat egg whites instead of whole eggs, and drink lots of water and orange juice. As for meat in your diet, eat lean meats, like tuna and chicken they are high in proteine and omega fatty acids. Drink whole juices like V8 and apple/orange juice. Try not to eat anything past 9pm (considering bed time is 11:30pm. You can cheat on your diet, but if you do make sure its earlier on in the day so your body has time to burn it. Don't trust fad diets...because it's not so much what you eat..as when you eat it. Just be smart and you'll shed pounds in no time. Just don't deny yourself of cardio...you don't get something for nothing. Cheers

Answer: I am 16 and have been obese before but have slim down successfully. I am here to share how to achieve it so read on, it may change your life. IF YOU ARE FRIGHTEN ABOUT HOW LONG THE PASSAGE IS, just read the 2nd and 5th paragraph onwards about mindset and setting a target.
Firstly, you have to have the mindset to lose weight! Without it you would not be as successful. In the past when i am over-weight, I did not care about my body and continued living, thinking that it would be alright growing up fat but society are just as cruel... I did not change until an incident which inspires me to be healthy and look good.
So you need to think of a target and the reasons for you to lose weight. It could be anything like wanting to look good or for health reasons. Anytime you feel like giving up, think of your target and work towards it.
Secondly, food intake should be lesser by 1/5 but eat all your 3 meals. And only eat when you are hungry although there are times when you do not know you are hungry or not(like me, weird stomach) so stick to your meals. Of course, eat healthier food. Details of healthy food or how to make it healthy can be found in the Internet or books.
Thirdly, find a sport or activity that will make you lose weight. Make that activity like your personal habit and do it often. I chose basketball as my friends play it and now i am good at it so make a wise decision of which sport to choose and go for it, no slacking. Surely there would be difficult as you would be in a disadvantage as you would be look down on because of your size. For example, you are playing soccer with your friends and they choose you to be the goalkeeper because of your size. That means you would be standing at the goalpost most of the time- result, no weight loss. Repel! Say that you want to be another position like a striker and make them pay! Go for the ball! Play the game like you would not play it again! Play it with your heart! That way you could take advantage of your desires- result, a lot of weight loss.
I could not go on cause of time limit and laziness, although I still can say a lot. But the mindset thing is already enough, the most important aspect of losing weight is that! REMEMBER, every time when you are about to give up, every time when you are lazy to go out to exercise, every time when you want to eat extra, every time you step into a fast food restaurant AND every time you are tempted to do sometime that you know that would foil your attempt on losing weight, think about your target, about what you have been through for the past years, being look down because of your size. If that is not enough of a reason... Think of your FUTURE, predict. What would you be like when you grow up. Would you get the boyfriend/girlfriend that you are dreaming for? Or someone who you would marry for the sake of marrying. Or do you think you could get a partner that you like just with your character or personality alone? That only happens in fairy tales... The modern world is not that kind nowadays.
So come on! Change yourself! Do your body a favor! Give yourself a chance to make yourself look good. Whenever you feel like losing hope, read this again and think about what you can achieve when you lost every pounds of fats and attain your dream body. That would be enough for you to make the decision to change for yourself.
I ended up typing too much, lol. So all this are from my personal point of view and all comes from experience. Haha, maybe I should be a weight loss counselor or something.

Answer: breastfeed till a few weeks before you get married, that will use your extra fat stores your body created for it...
Also, only drink water, no fast food, no soda, just eat fresh vegies and fruit and lean meats, chicken fish turkey
always eat breakfast within 45mins of waking up and have a glass of water.
try to get 30mins of exerise per day, take bubs out walking in the buggie.
Question: Good exercising and dieting tips for a ripped upper torso? I workout like swimming and sit ups and occasionally push ups. I don't do weightlifting because I am still 13. But I am not good with the dieting. I eat like an elephant. Any tips out there?
Answer: You cannot "rip" what isn't there. Your first goal has to be to add lean mass and for that you add muscle by weight lifting. Thirteen is plenty old enough to start lifting weights. There are loads of great exercise tapes that you can find on amazon and other websites. If I were you I would get one with a hot topless male showing you the exercises!!! Exercising is the best way to lose weight, because you can choose where you lose it from!
Don't bother with a diet, jut try to cut out snacking or get some healthier meals!

Answer: Only people that like to fail look for shortcuts. I have never met anyone who has successfully taken the weight off and kept it off that used a shortcut, it just does not work. So the the idea of a shortcut out of your head.
Tips:
1. Stop eating so much, I dont care if its a "healthy" food, it does not matter. You should only concern yourself with calories. You want a low calorie diet, try 1200 calories a day
2. If your not writing everything your eating and how much and how many calories, your lying to yourself. You are having way more calories than you think you are having. Its that simple. You may think your having 1200 calories a day, but your really probably having more than 1500 if your not writing it down.
3. Goto calorieking.com and look up everything you eat, how many calories, and how much a serving is
4. A serving of cereal does not mean a whole bowl of cereal, same goes for any other food. LOOK AT THE BOX FOR SERVING SIZE
4. Stop eating out
5. Exercise everyday. No baby stuff, no walking on the treadmill. Don't be a big baby like almost everyone on yahoo answers. Hard work shows results, not being lazy. You should workout with weights 45 minutes a day and then do cardio for 45 minutes right after and NO WALKING, JOG AT LEAST.
6. You can never in your lift go back to your crappy diet that you are following right now. You are on a diet for the rest of your life.
7. You are to exercise at least 3x a week for the rest of your life
8. Forget the home equipment, dont be lazy. Get out the house and goto the gym. I do not know a single person that has seen decent results from home. Only lazy people want to workout at home. Is it really going to kill you to jump into your car and drive to the gym??? This may be your main problem
9. Do not waste your time with situps or other ab exercises. Anyone who told you or thinks that ab exercises will make your stomach flat is a fool. Diet and exercise make your stomach flat, not ab exercises. Ab exercises build abs, not cause you to lose the fat over your abs. Look up "spot reduction" and you will see there is no such thing.
10. Lose all your fat or overweight friends. They are the reason you are overweight. They do not want you to lose weight, they don't want you to be successful. They are going to sabotage you anyway they can. Intentionally or not, they do not want to be fat and see you thin. They will keep you fat. Fat people are your enemies, they do not want to see you successful

Answer: I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you'll want to keep going.

Answer: The same thing everyone else in the history of the world did to loose weight, burn more calories then you take in.
Also...Stop eating anything white; grains, potatoes, cream, rice, bread, sugar, salt, milk, etc. Only drink water. No artificial sweeteners, they don't have calories but many of them induce water retention which makes you hold more weight. Eat 6 small meals throughout the day. Small means half a chicken breast and a half a cup of green beans. Two eggs and an apple etc. Once your body starts to become accustomed to this near constant intake of calories it will stop holding excess fat since it won't be in 'starvation mode' any longer.
You want your food to be natural. If something more complex than a knife was used to make it then get rid of it. Meat, (not from a can, from a butcher's counter) fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, eggs, etc. Whole foods only. Nothing processed.
Start your day out with exercise, jogging, swimming, bicycling, anything. Any distance you need to move under two miles stop driving. Run, bike, walk or swim every trip under two miles.
LIft weights. A pound of muscle burns 60 calories in an adult male. If you add 10 pounds of muscle to your body you will be burning 600 extra calories a day.

Answer: I AM not a specialist in this but drink water it fills you up does not have any calories.
The body is mostly made up of water and cut out or only have 4/5 cups coffee as it is not good for you so my dietitian has told me. I drink 4/5 pints yes of water a day.

Answer: Try eating more fruits and veggies in place of other fatty meals, like junk food, cookies, or high calorie meals. Like most people (I'm guilty sometimes!), you've probably brainwashed yourself into thinking that fast food tastes better than healthy food, but that's not entirely true! Try eating more grapes, clemintines, apples chunks in vanilla yogurt (good for sweet cravings!), blueberries, hummus (it sounds gross but it's really not, especially with Wheat Thins or Food Should Taste Good brand whole grain chips! I personally like garden vegetable or tomato flavored), granola, low-fat yogurt, low-fat string cheese, LITE whole wheat bread, 100 - calorie popcorn / kettle corn bags, steamed broccoli with a buttery garlic sauce etc. I also snack on South Beach Diet oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, they're good AND pretty healthy! And eat SLOWLY. Take one bite at a time, chew completely, then take another bite. If you eat slower, you'll become fuller quicker, and you won't overeat.
Incorporate more exercise into your daily life. Take the dog for a 20 minute walk, do jumping jacks while watching TV, do laps around the block, or the house for that matter. Don't let yourself sit down for too long. If you can, get a gym membership. I use an elliptical for 30 minutes 5-6 times a week and it works great for me.
And don't eat out of boredom! It's a nasty habit to break, TRUST ME. Whenever you feel like eating, watch a movie with no commercial breaks so you don't have time to get up, call a friend, read a book or magazine, or get out of the house, away from the food.
And don't "DIET". Because the moment you go off your "diet", you'll regain the all the weight you lost quickly, believe me. Instead, make "healthy living choices."
I recently lost weight, about 20 lbs, and what really helped for me was planning my meals. I planned when and what I was going to eat, and made sure the calorie count was 1400. It may be different depending on your needs, but never go under 1200! Whatever you do, don't let yourself stray from your plan. Write it all down or type it out and leave it up on your computer so you don't forget, that's what I do.
You'll never get to your "ideal" body by eating crap food and sitting around, no matter how much you want it to happen. It takes dedication to get the body you want! Make it like a game. How much weight can I lose? Prove it to yourself you DO have the willpower to get what you want. Hang pictures of the body type you want on the fridge and cupboard to stop yourself from mindless snacking or overeating.
But allow yourself a cheat day every now and then. Life is too short! If you restrict your body of all the "good foods", you will one day EXPLODE and eat everything in sight. Trust me!
One more thing: Once you do become thinner, DON'T think you can eat whatever you want now! You'll regain all the weight back, which is absolutely mortifying, especially after all the hard work to lose it.

Answer: weight loss that is too rapid is never a good idea. some people will tell you stop eating. that is a big no no and can lead to more problems than solutions.
drink lots of water. that flushes out your system. stay active as much as you can. even something as simple as taking the stairs instead of the elevator. doing exercise with friends is always fun. go to the pool with a group of friends or something.
laying off the junk always helps, too. I've been doing stuff like that for the past year and i'm almost down 2 dress sizes. it's slow and sometimes frustrating process but its a good feeling when your pants start to get big on you. good luck!
