Question: ....................................FATTY..................................? i am really fat so i have decided to try and get to 7ST i am 5ft2 and weigh 8st5.
If i cut back to 500-700 cals a day and 3 hours exercise a week maybe more then how long will it take to get to 7stone???
Also someone told me if i do this i will collapse all the time . . . is that true?
If yes then how many days into this will i collapse so i can make sure i dont pleaseeeee. . . :)
thank x x x
p.s i used to starve all the time and lost loads of weight but my parents forced me to eat lots agen so how can i avoid this?
Answer: Yes, you will collapse only eating 500-700 cals a day. Even if you weren't working out you would, and you DEFINITELY will if you are working out. It wouldn't take long either. Only a few days. Besides, if you consume less than 1200 cals a day, your body's metabolism slows down making it harder to burn calories. Plus, it will start burning your muscle as fuel instead of your fat. This will make you weak and sick instead of healthy.
Instead eat 1200-1500 cals a day working out 3-5 hours a week. Rotate it between cardio and light strenth training. This will allow you to burn approximately 2 pounds (approx 1 kg) a week. So in about 8 weeks you should be near your target weight if not past it. (I am 5'2" and ate 1800-2000 cals a day, working out 30 minutes 3-5 days a week and I've lost 1stone in 8 weeks - so you should easily be able to do it at 1200-1500 and with slightly more exercise).
You will have a lot more energy this way, and you will burn calories a LOT easier if you eat the right way. Your body cannot burn the calories without the right about of protein and fiber. It is your muscles that burn the calories and without fuel and activity, they can't do it.
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Question: What kind of fatty acids does a termophilic bacteria needs in its membrane? a bacteria that lives in high temperatures
Little Cholesterol or of Long Chain
I think that is a fatty acid of long chain because that makes it hydrophobic??
or not?
please help
Answer: Usually this kind of question is introduced the other way. Cholesterol helps organize the hydrophilic parts of the lipid bilayer and keeps the hydrophobic parts from being to regular, giving them flexibility. Pigs should have a lot of cholesterol in the regions near the outside of their bodies when it is cold so that those cell membranes be flexible so that they can function.
For thermophiles you would need less cholesterol because the heat would increase the mobility of the lipid oily part of the membrane. Thy this web site.
Question: What are monounsaturated fatty acids & why are they good for losing belly fat? I just read in Womans World about this diet that targets belly fat. The article read that if you consume a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids, MUFA's, women have lost up to 7 lbs and 5 inches off their stomachs in days. Why does this occur? Is it affective?
Answer: ok i dont really know what they do but these are where you can get the monounsaturated fats are found in natural foods such as nuts and avocados, and are the main component of tea seed oil and olive oil (oleic acid). Canola oil is 57%–60% monounsaturated fat, olive oil is about 75% monounsaturated fat while tea seed oil is commonly over 80% monounsaturated fat. Other sources include grapeseed oil, ground nut oil, peanut oil, flaxseed oil, sesame oil, corn oil, popcorn, whole grain wheat, cereal, oatmeal, safflower oil, sunflower oil, tea-oil Camellia, avocado oil.

Question: How can you tell it is a fatty lump not a tumor? I know that animals get fatty lumps as they get older. The vet says not to worry about them. But how do you know if it is just a fatty lump or it is a tumor?
I do find new lumps and take my dog to the vet. He just feels them and says they are fatty lumps and not tumors. Was wondering how can you tell just by feeling it?
Answer: Different tumors have different characteristics - some grow very slowly, and some literally appear overnight.
A lipoma, or fatty tumor, is very slow growing, and only causes problems if it actually grows in the muscle tissue. But it isn't malignant, so they are most often left - Labs have lots of these, and they are soft, feel like fat, and most often can be moved around unattached from the underlying muscle tissue.
Mast cell tumors, on the other hand, are like a hard half golf ball, and appear suddenly - they are bad news, but if you whisk the dog into the vet right away, they can surgically remove it, and the margins around - hopefully, getting all of it so the cancer is gone.
Other tumors can be on th surface, and open, angry looking lumps that bleed - anything that looks like this is definitely cancer, fast growing, and need to be removed if the location makes it possible.
But once you feel a lipoma on a Lab, you pretty much can figure out what it is.
If you want to be sure, they can always biopsy it for you.
Question: What does the term fatty infiltrated liver mean on a medical report? I saw the term recently on a medical report that I received and it said fatty infiltrated liver. Does anyone know what this means? It is an old medical report of mine but I would like to know what it means as it has never been mentioned to me.
Answer: Fatty liver (steatosis) is usually related to diabetes and obesity. This is usually not life threatening. Losing weight and controlling you diabetes will help. Fatty liver with "inflammation" may lead to cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) or potentially liver cancer. Go to your doctor and get a LFT (liver function test). The word infiltrated means that fatty cells has developed in the liver. My mother has been diagnosed with this condition for over 15 years and she is doing fine. Still, getting an LFT is a good idea.
Question: What is fatty infiltration of the pancreas? CT showed a small fatty focus on pancreas. Radiologist said looks like fatty infiltration of the pancreas. I am a over weight 25 year old male what is this? should i be worried ? Can it turn into cancer?
Answer: Fatty Infiltration of the Pancreas:
This is a 24 year old woman without a history of chronic pancreatitis or predisposing factors for it. Examination of the head region of the pancreas shows "increased ethnicity" often prematurely equated with chronic pancreatitis. In the body and tail region it becomes clear that there are septae of bright tissue (fat) going through the pancreas giving it a marbled or lobulated appearance. The absence of calcifications or main pancreatic duct abnormalities further argues against chronic pancreatitis.

Question: What can you tell me about fatty tumors on dogs? My dog is 15 years old and she has two fatty tumors on both her sides. Because of her age the vet recommends we not have them removed. He says she isn't in pain. I wonder how long is it ok to allow them? They are about the size of a small canteloupe. Is this something that she should be put down for? Is she suffering?
Answer: as long as she is still able to move okay without any obvious signs of distress, you should not have to put her down. i would go with the vet recommendation, they usually know what they are talking about

Question: What is the meaning of the fatty-fin of the salmonoids? The fatty-fin is the fin on the back just before the tail of the salmonoids. What is the purpose of this fin?
Answer: I assume you mean the adipose fin between the dorsal and caudal fin of salmonoids, characins and catfish. From every resource I've found, including an undergrad degree in zoology, there is no real purpose for the fin.
Like the appendix in humans, it doesn't serve a purpose, but is more than likely a vestige from a past fin. You can see on all other fins a fleshy area at the base before the rays start -- the adipose fin is probably this area from a fin in fishes of old. To confirm this, you'd have to look at the fossil record, and I'm not sure anyone has.
In some areas, sport fishing officials clip the fin (without ill effect on the fish) to indicate which ones can be kept -- usually over a certain size to prevent juveniles from being taken.
Hope it helps!
Question: What is the evolutionary benefit of fatty and greasy foods tasting good? Anyone have any scholarly articles or papers written about this? It seems to make more sense that nutritional foods should taste better to us than fatty and greasy ones.
Answer: Evolution takes a long time. We're not evolutionarily suited to perform the best NOW, we're best adapted to conditions 50,000-100,000 years ago, that's just the way it works.
Back then obtaining food was a million times harder than driving your car to the local grocery store. Therefore, anything that gave our ancestors an advantage for obtaining rich foods (like a preferred taste for fats) made them better suited for that environment. Fats taste so good because they are the most caloric dense food we eat.
Question: Is it good to take omega3 fatty acd supplements prophilactically as I am a vegetarian.? In my daily intake of food, I do not find omega3 fatty acids naturally as I am a vegetarian.I came to know they don't make fats deposit in blood vessels. So, prophilactically, is it advisable to take supplements daily? Few natural foods like walnuts, flax seed and linseed oil are not in my daily food. I also take aspirin 0.75mg daily. Please advise.
Answer: Its a very good idea, and they arent coming from fish, they just can be find in a fish TOO, but not only there! I learned a lot about omega3 and omega6 on my studies, and I am taking it. You can buy it in any pharmacy.
Question: How can I stop being addicted to fatty foods and junk foods? Can someone tell me ways to stop being addicted to junk and fatty foods? Can anyone also tell me how to start liking fruit and vegetables? I've never ate any vegetables in my life.
Answer: first start by emptying your house of fatty and junk foods. then DON'T BUY THEM. and try fruits they are good and sweet and if you don't like veggies by themselves you can eat them with some kind of dip that's not very fatty. when you've gotten used to that, try them without the dip.... if you don't like that then continue eating them with the dip for some more time..... before trying the veggie again without the dip. good luck
