Question: What is the difference between the average flu every flu season and swine flu? Before swine flu, there was still flu that people catch during flu season. Does anybody know the official name of the flu that people got every flu season?
And what makes swine flu so different?
Answer: The name of the flu that people get every flu season is usually referred to as seasonal flu. Every year the viruses that are in the seasonal flu that goes around may differ, but most of those viruses we have been exposed to at some point. Swine flu is a strain of the flu that most of us have never been exposed to before. Because we have not been exposed to it before our bodies don't have any immunity to it.
Also, there is some concern that the swine flu strain may mutate and become more deadly than it is. Right now most people that catch the swine flu are mildly sick. It is very contagious so what is most important is that you stay away from other people if you get sick. Over 2,000 university kids at just one school got sick in the first week of school. We could have a lot of sick people during flu season. Every year people die from the flu. More people die each year from the regular seasonal flu than have been dying from the swine flu. But for people with underlying health issues, swine flu has been difficult even in its current mild form.
I've attached two articles. One tells you how to recognize swine flu symptoms and the other tells you what to do if you get sick.
Question: How is Swine Flu different from regular flu? Seasonal Flu (regular flu) infects millions of people every year. It's fair to say it's a common ailment, just like a cold.
Regular flu also kills thousands of people each year...
Of all the swine flu cases I heard about, most people are getting better, just like with a regular flu.
Of course if you're elderly or a newborn or an immunodeficient person, well, the flu might be harder to treat and may kill you, but that's not news!
Are we panicking over nothing?
Answer: It's not really different from the "regular flu". And yes, some people are majorly overreacting.
The media is often creating unnecessary panic in gullible people by focusing on a variety of diseases that turn out to be no big deal. Anyone remember West Nile Virus? SARS? Bird flu? If you hardly do it's because not much ever came of any of those things. Take a clue, people.
Question: How late in the flu season is a flu shot still worthwhile? I was advised that it's optimal to get the flu shot in October or November. But assuming a person doesn't follow that advice and procrastinates, how late in the flu season is it still worth it?
Answer: I went to the doctor today and he suggested I get the flu shot still even though it's almost January since I've been sick 3 times this year so far. I keep getting the common cold, so getting the flu shot will actually help prevent more occurrences in the next few months. But I must advise that most doctors do not give anymore flu shots since as you stated, it's normally done in October. He said I could go to Walmart or Walgreens and they will probably still sell it.
Question: Why was the swine flu declared a national emergency when it kills less people then the more common flu? Its less deadly and effects less people then the normal flu... You can get over it more easily and has only killed the same people that are likely to die from the regular flu. I get that we don't have a vaccine for it but we don't have one for diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc... either, all of which have higher kill rates. Why aren't those declared national emergencies?
Answer: Truth Is........
Declaring a national emergency immediately gives federal authorities dangerous new powers that can now be enforced at gunpoint, including:
• The power to force mandatory swine flu vaccinations on the entire population.
• The power to arrest, quarantine or "involuntarily transport" anyone who refuses a swine flu vaccination.
• The power to quarantine an entire city and halt all travel in or out of that city.
• The power to enter any home or office without a search warrant and order the destruction of any belongings or structures deemed to be a threat to public health.
• The effective nullification of the Bill of Rights. Your right to due process, to being safe from government search and seizure, and to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination are all null and void under a Presidential declaration of a national emergency.
Question: Is swine flu the final step in the Illuminati plan to drastically reduce the earth population? It's a proven fact that the Illuminati plans to reduce the earths population to under 500,000,000. There bird flu didn't work as well as they intended, is the swine flu the ext and possibly final generation of the virus they inted to use to cull the heard so to speak? Is there anything we can do about it?
Answer: It is supposed that this is a beta test, for sure this disease is man-made to what end we don't know (That is unless you believe that Asian swine flu, European swine flu, US swine flu, avian flu and human influenza somehow combined and infected a small rural town in Mexico). The thing you must always bear in mind in cases like this is Who Benefits? Research it, of course the Illuminati "don't exist" do they? And for those sceptics out there I propose to you, no one ever died from stockpiling food and water.
(Hmm look Rumsfeld has stock in Tamiflu, interesting...)

Question: Is the swine flu a genetically modified virus released on purpose? "People cannot get the swine flu from eating pork or pork products, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And health officials say there is no evidence the flu originated from hogs. The new flu strain is a mix of genetic material from swine, avian and human flu viruses."
Its a mix of swine, avian, and human flu viruses. Was this flu released on purpose to control population numbers?
Answer: Oi you people need to get a lesson on how infectious disease works,
pig carries virus aka a vector... people living in close proximity to pigs pick up virus and becomes the new host and as people come into contact with one another the virus gets passed along. How did people in 3 unrelated countries get it, well they came into contact with the virus... its pretty simple and unfortunately pandemics are a natural occurrence...also flu viruses mutate all the time, the flu vaccine given each years is always based on the previous years strain which is usually not the same as the strain going around...
Question: My partner developed flu during the second week after conception? My partner developed flu during the second week after conception, the flu lasted around a week. What should we do? We have had conflicting advice from doctors on the possible implications.
Thank you for any help.
- 2nd miracle due - Hi, thanks for you answer.
The flu lasted around 5-7 days and she is fine now. She's 5 weeks into the pregancy. It's just that one doctor was very concerned about flu and possible effects on the baby.
Answer: As long as she doesn't have a fever above 102 degrees the baby should be fine. If she does develop a high fever be sure to give her a fever reducer like tylenol and get her to the doctor. The virus itself won't affect the baby.
Question: If i have the swine flu vs the regualar flu how would i know? What is the difference in symptoms? What is the difference between the regular flu and the swine flu? And if someone has the swine , how long does it take to recover from it , esp if there are no vaccines available ? What should one do in that case? I have consulted a doctor and even he does not know what i should do, he himself said he had the swine already and has not fully recovered and i have had it now for three weeks . I have congestion so badly that sometimes i simply can not breathe properly.
Answer: There is no difference. The flu is the flu. This swine nonsense is just the media's way to once again manipulate people into thinking they need flu shots and dangerous vaccines.
Question: How do they tell the difference between swine flu and normal flu? I just got home from the hospital and I have the flu. The nurse swabbed my nose and the test came back positive for flu. My fever hasn't went over 102 and I havent been throwing up. The nurse said she would have to send the test results off to see if it was swine flu or not? How long does this last?
Answer: main difference...
if you have swine flu ask your doctor for some "oink-ment", while if it is bird flu, seek immediate "tweet-ment"
haha heard that joke at school the other day and thought i would share.
There really is no need to worry about what it is, swine flu is a joke and is much less deadly than even regular flu.
Question: What are the diffrences between swine flu and ordinary flu? How could I learn the symptoms of swine flu ?How DO the doctors diagnose the swine flu from usual one?
IS IT RIGHT THAT 50 MILION PEOPLE DIED FROM SWINE FLUE IN 1919?
Answer: The symptoms of swine flu in people are expected to be similar to the symptoms of regular human seasonal influenza and include fever, lethargy, lack of appetite and coughing. Some people with swine flu also have reported runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
If you are sick, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people as much as possible to keep from spreading your illness to others.
If you become ill and experience any of the following warning signs, seek emergency medical care.
In children emergency warning signs that need urgent medical attention include:
* Fast breathing or trouble breathing
* Bluish skin color
* Not drinking enough fluids
* Not waking up or not interacting
* Being so irritable that the child does not want to be held
* Flu-like symptoms improve but then return with fever and worse cough
* Fever with a rash
In adults, emergency warning signs that need urgent medical attention include:
* Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
* Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
* Sudden dizziness
* Confusion
* Severe or persistent vomiting
Doctors will do a swab test to se if you have the flu. If you have Type A influenza the sample will be sent to the cdc to see if it is the swine flu.
Question: What is the difference between having flu-like symptoms and having the flu? I'm asking because pro-atheletes are constantly sidelined by what is called "flu-like symptoms" I never hear this term used anywhere but professional sports. Why don't they just act like normal people and say they have the flu?
Answer: The flue is caused by the influenza virus. There are many flue like symptoms that can be caused by many things other than this virus.

Question: What are the differences between swine flu and seasonal flu? Is swine flu as deadly as they claim it to be.Could the vaccine be more deadly than the vaccine itself as some claim it to be?I feel like there has not been enough research on this new vaccine about side affects for the people instead of using it on people before further research of using on rats first instead of people? Has any one survived the swine flu?Opinions welcomed.
Answer: The swine flu can only be contracted through intercourse with a pig.
While the seasonal flu in spread in more traditional manners
