I am in my late 30s and I want to be healthy as I get older and I wanted to know what is the healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off for good, what excersizes can you do to reach the healthy goal of weight loss, for those of you that lost a lot of weight 40 pounds or more what were healthy ways that you lost weight and how did you keep it off without gaining it back?
Answer: I lost 55 lbs. in 6 mo's. I had just returned from Germany and Paris where I walked everywhere and still ate normal foods. When I got home I had lost 10 lbs.
Then I bought nothing but Lean Cuisine for dinner and a yogurt smoothie for breakfast and drank a lot of water.If I ate lunch at all it was fresh veggies.
I got down to 96 lbs and now my family is yelling at me to stop!!!
So I've gained back to 100 which is where I want to stay since I;m 5' tall.
I really believe in Lean Cuisine, the food is fresh and very good. Don't drink sodas and walk every chance you can.

Answer: olive or pommace oil is best, but NOT extra virgin or virgin olive oil. just the regular olive oil.

Answer: grilling it, any method where it sits and cooks in the fat isn't as healthy as letting the fat drip off. there are also pans you can get that look like a grill top and have a small shallow drain pan below. you can put those in your broiler. it doesn't have the same smoky flavor that grilling gives, but its also healthy and good

Answer: Well, Mexican is typically not healthy. But if you want to eat as healthy as possible when you go, guacamole is amazing for you. Hardly any fat, great for your heart, and is very flavorfull. A taco salad with no chips or tortillas is good for you, skipping the cheese of course. Salsa is great for you because tomotoes are loaded with licopene (a chemical found in the red color of tomatoes to help reduce the chances of some cancers, especially skin cancer). Go with chicken no matter what if you must have protein. Lay off the beef and pork, and when you ask for chicken suggest no butter or oil and possibly- if they can- grilled chicken. Not too many alcoholic drinks if you're into an occassional drink. Any more than one glass of wine or beer a day can decrease your abdominal metabolism by a good 25 or more percent.

All fruits are full of different vitamins, minerals and other things you need, so when researching their health value, you would do best to simply look at sugar. You also want to pick the brightest colored fruits because they are generally the most nutrient-packed. Above all, the most important thing is to eat a variety of fruits (and vegetables) from different color families.

Answer: I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Answer: Interesting question. I also know a girl who is physcially really built in the upper body but has tree-trunks for legs.
My recommendation is to try changing your diet and sticking to a cardio routine. Your body can ONLY become ripped by proper diet and cardio exercise. If you are lifting weights by any chance using your legs (squats, leg extensions) try to minimize the workouts. Being active is still key but try to curtail the intensity of your routine while still focusing on high reps.
As for diet, minimize carbs and eat foods high in protein and lots of fibre from vegatables. Avoid all sugars, processed foods/fats, gluten and even dairy. Drink plenty of water. I would try to focus on this diet for at least a month to see how your body adapts.

Answer: Chicken should be fully cooked at all times or you run the risk of salmonella poisoning. I've tried chicken shashimi at a Japanese restaurant once where the chicken is entirely raw but I would venture they make sure it's really clean and there is always a risk when its not fully cooked.
