Question: How can I have healthy bones life long? What can I do to prevent bone problems and have healthy bones life long? It can be anything, from anywhere like changes to diet and exercise. I want to stay healthy starting with my bones. Thank you, would appreciate some detail too. :)
Answer: You have grown up thinking that what someone says or thinks controls how you feel. This is not true.
It is always the way we see things that make the way it is. You need to change the way you look at things.
For example - If someone lost their job, they can think "it is the end of the world for me". Or they can look at it another way. They can think "what a wonderful opportunity I now have to find a better job, one that I love and more money".
If someone doesn't "like you", you can think "woe is me, I'm very unpopular without any friends". Or you can think "thank you my friend for showing me that I need to love myself more, so that you can love me".
If you want anything, you have to give it away first.
If you want to be loved or liked by others, - you have to like or love others.
If you want friends - you have to give friendship to others.
if you want happiness - you have to give happiness to others.
Do all the above and more for others, and then watch the friendships grow. As this grows, your self confidence will grow, as you see just how clever and nice you are.
Once you can see you are a really nice person, others will see that you are also.
The power is in your hands.
Question: Does bone density and healthy bones have anything to do with why some people can't float? Do healthy bones play any factor in floating? Like someone who doesn't get their daily amount of calcium?

Question: Why do people think that showing their bones and being muscle heads look healthy? I don't like muscle heads mainly because their all jerks and look at themselves in the mirror all day. Plus all that muscle is just gross it makes them look plastic. I don't see why women think showing their bones is healthy because it doesn't look healthy. Why does the media ruin the way people should look so much? Healthy is just a little extra love handles I think not skinny or bones showing it looks like they are starving on purpose or something. Does anyone else agree? I just don't see how anyone finds that attractive.
Answer: "I don't like muscle heads mainly because their all jerks and look at themselves in the mirror all day."
Way to generalize, man. You're the one who sounds like a jerk.

Question: Are the pressed rawhide bones healthy for dogs? My 7 month old.. 90 lbs Bullmastiff puppy loves to eat these bones. She can eat an entire eight inch bone in about one hour. How often should we allow her to eat these? We have been giving her them every few days.. Thanks!

Question: How much milk should I drink a day to have strong (healthy) bones?
Answer: Drinking milk supposedly is a waste of time. Says my health teacher.
She told us about how calcium is what does the trick, not milk itself. Also milk makes baby cows double in size in 1 month. That's some massive growing. We shouldn't even be drinking a lot of cow milk.
I'd say 1 glass a day, but it really isn't needed. Just eat calcium rich foods.
* Salmon
* Tofu
* Rhubarb
* Sardines
* Collard Greens
* Spinach
* Turnip Greens
* Okra
* White Beans

* Broccoli
* Peas
* Brussel Sprouts
* Sesame Seeds
* Bok Choy
* Almonds

Question: how can you keep your bones healthy and strong? well i am 16 now, and i am geting into weight lifting. I have hurt my shoulder now, and when i do push-ups, it hurts quite a bit. firstly, what should i do about this, and also how can i prevent it from happening again, i was advised that having calcium would make my bones stronger, so what are the best sources of calcium?
thanks.
Answer: If you have started weight training this is unlikely to be an issue with bone.
It is much more likely to be a soft tissue injury which you can fix with physical therapy and corrective rehab exercise.
Contrary to popular beleif the jury is out on dairy being a good way to absorb calcium. This may work with a low protein diet (unlikely for weight trainers) but because dairy has a relatively high rate of protein this can swing the balance in your diet making it to protein rich.
High protein diets ultimately make your blood acidic. in order to buffer this calcium is leached from the bones.
Sources of calcium also include cereal products and nuts.
One of the most detrimental things for bone health is steroid use. This is known to cause loss of bone density and it is not unknown for 25 year old body builders to have the bone density of the average 70 year old woman. This is largely irreversible.
Steroids also cause your testicles to shrink and can damage you liver so much that it is unable to break down Oestrogen meaning male body builders start to develop breast tissue. To avoid this they take a whole host of other drugs to keep down the Oestrogen levels.
Have i mentioned aggresive behaviour and chronic acne?
It really ain't worth it...
