Question: How to Optimize Athletic Performance with Healthy Nutrition? I would like to have more energy and mental focus when engaging in competitive sports. How can I best achieve that and gain that competitive edge with better nutrition?
Answer: When you exercise and engage in athletics you increase your body's nutritional needs. You can gain an athletic competitive edge by nourishing your body's cells at the cellular level so it can perform at its full potential. Provide it with superior nutrition and the output will also be superior.
I came across a great website: http://www.shopherbalife.com/rvillalta that provides cutting edge nutritional products that are used by world class athletes and teams to obtain optimum athletic performance. I tried the Core Products for Cellular Nutrition and the Energy & Fitness Products like Liftoff and H3O and I certainly noticed a big improvement in my energy levels and mental focus when I exercise and play sports. Big thanks to that website and I think those products will deliver exactly what you are looking for.
Question: Teaching Kids about Healthy Living and Nutrition? I'm doing a huge project at school in order to graduate and I chose to go to the local library or boys and girls club and teach young kids (under the age of ten) about keeping healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and exercise.
I need some help figuring out topics to include in my lesson plan, and ways of teaching them so that they don't get bored soon. I want to keep the info light, but good enough that they see it's importance and it would make an impact.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!
Thanks.

Question: Could someone please give me a healthy nutrition plan please? I'm a very skinny person but I want to be a very HEALTHY skinny person. I eat all healthy at home but for me, lunch is very important because i eat lunch at school and the school cafeterias don't always serve the most healthiest foods.
Could someone please make a plan for me on what to eat on Day 1-5 please?
Answer: I can't develop an exact plan for you, but you can incorporate healthy choices into your diet. By the way - your "diet" truly means your way of eating - not necessarily a weight loss plan. But to maintain a good shape, good health, and to stay slim, I would try these -
Try to work in good, healthy snacks - fruit, like apples or bananas...at home you could eat peanut butter on a slice of toast, etc. Try to avoid fried foods when you can, along with fast food. Choose fresh vegetables when you can over cooked - they tend to hold more nutritional value. I usually try to go for foods also that are low in fat but high in protein. Nuts are good snacks, so is beef jerky. Drink lots of water and stay away from sodas. Eat whole grains when you can (and wheat bread instead of white.) Be careful of your salad dressing on salads unless its lite - or just use sparingly. Hope this helps a little. :-)
Question: What are some eating strategies to ensure healthy nutrition? Have to make a health promotion.
Short and sweet.
Thank you.
<3
Answer: Eat a plant-based diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; choose healthy fats, like olive and canola oil; and red meat and unhealthy fats, like saturated and trans fats, sparingly. Most important of all is keeping calories in check, so you can avoid weight gain, which makes exercise a key partner to a healthy diet.

Question: Can a skinny guy get a six pack by 1000 leg raises daily and healthy nutrition?
Answer: Yeah. Everyone has "abs," just most peoples' are covered by fat. If you're skinny and working on them, they'll definitely be visible. Leg raises alone, though, might not do the trick. They mostly work the lower abs, which will give you a nice V at the bottom, but maybe not the six pack. 1000 is also a whole lot...
Old-fashioned, regular forward crunches (and crunches to each side) will do the trick if you're faithful. NOT sit-ups because they'll eff up your back.

Thank you!
I am a new vegetarian and I'm looking for a really reliable source on nutrition and healthy living in general.
Thank you!
Sorry for being repetitive. I can't figure this edit thing out.
Answer: I just google and search through different sites on diet and lifestyle. but whether or not you made the shift b/c of animal cruelty issues, PETA launched a great vegetarian resource with tips and recipes that some of my vegetarian and vegan friends swear by:
http://www.goveg.com/
on this site, you can access something called the Vegetarian Starter Kit. it's a really good transition resource and excellent even for folks that have been there for a while (me for 13 years now).
This is another great site with a starter guide and the 411 on most restaurants, grocers and bars that specialize or will cater to veg diets and even has events (it's a site from the folks of the "Compassion Over Killing" advocacy group) below is the DC page, but there should be links to others like it.
http://www.vegdc.com/
Good Luck!
