Natural Remedy For Arthritis
Question: DOES anyone out there know of a natural remedy for arthritis- I hate to keep taking ibuprofen?
Answer: Yes, it's called glucosamine chondroitan, marketed under various brand names such as Osteo-Biflex, but generics work just as well. I personally don't use it, but I've known many many people who take it and doctors who recommend it. It works to help keep cartilage flexible and lubricate your joints. You're wise to worry about taking too much ibuprofen as well, it can eventually cause stomach problems.
The only catch is if you're diabetic... talk to your doctor before you take it as it can impact blood sugar. But other than that, it's a great medicine and definitely worth a try!!
Good luck and best wishes!!!
Question: What natural remedies for arthritis could I use? I am thinking in terms of the type of food, natural antioxidants, and so on.
Answer: If your job allows you to do so, I suggest smoking pot. Marijuana relieves many ailments including stomach pain, headaches, backaches, and arthritis. If you don't believe me please research it first. don't just automatically shun it because the rest of society deems it unacceptable. I promise it will help with the pain.
Marijuana has helped me live through depression and severe headaches, plus, pot is as natural as it gets.
Question: Do you know of any natural remedies for arthritis in the knees? I have injured my knees, through years of Ballet Dancing. They hurt to bend, or just when standing. Please help.
Answer: try drinking daily supplements such as Glucosamine and Fish oil capsules which contain omega-3 fatty acids. These are known to strengthen bones and prevent further damage to joints. I would also recommend you eat a balanced diet consisting of lots of fruit and vegetables, calcium enriched foods such as milk and dairy products, as well as partaking in physical activity of light to moderate intensity which will strengthen bones. Try pilatese or yoga!
Question: Has anyone got some good advice about natural remedies for arthritis?
Answer: Which kind -- osteo or rheumatoid? They are two different problems and are treated two different ways.
If you are suffering from osteoarthritis you can buy a product called MegaGluflex. Mega Gluflex + MSM contains high concentrations of glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate and MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane).
This combination of food supplements has been scientifically proven to have the following beneficial effects:
Relief of pain caused by the disease
Rehabilitation of connective and cartilage tissue
Improvement of joint motility and functioning
Good luck.
Question: Sore No More: Natural Arthritis pain remedy? I was at my local natural foods market looking for natural topical pain releiving gel. I found this one called Sore No More. Its works pretty good... have you tried it? Do you like it? Do you have any recommendations for other pain solutions?
Answer: I know people who have practiced chi gung to make it better.
I used to think that was the best approach available.
Then I found out about a chemical called DMSO, and found out that if you rub it onto the skin above the messed up joints, it often flat out fixes it. So I personally would say DMSO.
*if you decide to use that, be very careful that you get a pure version with no contaminents, and then it comes in contact with nothing besides glass before it touches your skin (which you wash), if that protocol is not adhered to, you can mess yourself up.
Question: Point me in the right direction for natural remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis? I have been recently diagnosed and did some research on my own and there is so much info out there. If you have RA could you let me know what has worked for you.
Answer: There are a good number of natural joint health products. The most popular ones I've found are Microlactin, Hyaluronic Acid, Tart Cherry Extract, Litozin (Danish Rose Hips), Glucosamin, Chondroitin, MSM, and Avovida (a combination of avocado and soy). Most of them are very economical and are very beneficial... our customers order them on a very regular basis. Most people get benefit from one or more of these ingredients within anywhere from a week to a couple months, depending on how long it takes for the supplement to get into their joints.
The only thing you'd have to worry about on any of these aside from allergic reactions is that the Microlactin is from milk and the Glucosamin is typically from Shellfish (those are the most common allergens).
Question: Natural remedies for rheumatoid arthritis? i am diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis..and have been having pain in the knee for about a month now...wat r the suitable natural remedies for this??
how does glucosamine or lakota help?
thanks!
Answer: While some studies have shown glucosomine to be effective at helping rebuild cartilage, the evidence behind it is questionable. In fact, the first studies that found it to be effective, which were put out in the eighties, were created by a company that sold glucosomine, so this is a warning sign.
I would be very wary of any magic cures though, and instead preform regular low impact exercises and make sure you are eating right. Studies have found that by preforming some regular exercise each week, arthritis pain can often be significantly reduced. however, it is important to preform only low impact exercises, while avoiding ones like running. Water aerobics is another good low impact exercise and most pools and YMCA's offer classes.
Question: What are some good natural remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis? I've tried Bio -Freeze, Tiger Balm and most of the other creams.
Answer: Silvicidal. It was developed by an FDA registered, DEA licensed, American pharmaceutical company. It was also an OTC with the labeling, "take orally for internal infections". But the pharmaceutical company closed, and because it was all-natural, it was offered as a, "dietary supplement" from that point forward.
The best part is: Global Health (some non-profit) will give it to you for free, as long as you document how it effects the RA in great detail. They're basically looking for more consumer reports. And if you want to know what it does: it's hard to explain - basically, it's killed every single harmful organism it's ever been tested against (that's why the FDA approved the OTC labeling). So, if a virus, infection, any harmful organism plays a role in RA, Silvicidal will be effective. Otherwise, it leave the body. But, I know I've seen a few RA consumer reports, so anyway, [email protected] - if that e-mail still works, you can just communicate with Global Health and they'll give it to you.

Question: Arthritis pain and natural remedies? I have arthritis in my fingers and tendinitis in my wrists. I used to be on naproxyn but no longer take any meds for it(I don't like to take medicine). My fingers are killing me and they're so stiff tonight.
I'm only 20 and I'm so tired of having to deal with the pain and discomfort of the arthritis. Does anyone know of any natural or homeopathic ways that lesson the pain or stiffness? Any foods or any tips at all would be appreciated. Thanks
Answer: For one so young, that's not fair.
Massage your fingers with an oil, such as Elmo Oil, and be aware that arthritis is a build up of toxins in your body, especially your joints.
Eat your greens and fruit, drink plenty of filtered water and walk briskly to perspire daily, about 20 minutes on a regular basis, and in a few weeks you will be bionic!!
All the best, Nvrgvup.
Question: Natural remedies and supplements to help get rid of my mum's arthritis in her hands ?
I am looking for suggestions on ways to get rid of the arthritis my mum has in both of her hands. Lately it has started getting worse and pretty painful for her.
Has anyone had any success with any particular natural remedies?? i.e supplements, accupuncture, oils etc.......
I live in Sydney, Australia. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Answer: depends on what kind of arthritis, but you can try:
apple cider vinegar and natural raw honey as a drink,
SAMe - can get over internet if not available in Oz,
serrapeptase enzyme - same,
acupuncture,
high doses of purified fish oil,
cod liver oil (not too much),
sunshine,
EMU oil,
glucosamine chondroitin and MSM,
supplements or rubs which include turmeric ginger capsicum,
meditation or any other kind of stress management technique,
cutting out potatoes tomatoes peppers aubergines,
checking out for food sensitivities.
ALL of these work for some people. Can't predict which works for who.
You need to know what kind of arthritis it is - that can give you a good clue as to what will work best to relieve pain - reduce inflammation (if that's the problem) or repair joint tissue (if it's that).
Question: Natural remedies for dog arthritis? Okay so I think my 5 year old Jack Russell might have arthritis. I looked up information on it and he has all the symptoms like limping, irritability, trouble climbing, licking his bad leg, ect. Now this has been going on for a little while, but it is on and off. It could be fine one moment and the next he stars limping for an hour, and then be fine again. Now, he isn't officially diagnosed with it, and before you say it, YES we are going to take him to the vet as soon as we can, but in the meantime, I am looking for remedies to ease the pain. I have found that Yucca and Cayenne help, but what other things can I give him that will help him?
Thanks in advance!
Answer: You could spend the money for a heated bed or get your dog Rimadyl from your vet, they now have it in generic making it much more affordable.Shelf life lasts a very long time..

He is quite large and I cannot carry him..The vet said that it is his age and arthritis and has been prescribing something. however i have just gotten laid off and can no longer afford this. He will just fall sometimes and i am afraid he will be in pain. Does anyone know of something I can give him that is natural for dogs. Thank You
Answer: After having gone through a similar situation the best advice I can give is to put the dog on maalox coated aspirin for the pain. It is very affordable, and Glucosamine Sulfate for hip and joint releif also very affordable.
