Nutrition Supplements
Question: What would you sell in a Nutrition/Supplement Store besides supplements of course.? Wondering besides supplements, water, natural shakes, what else would be good and profitable to sell in a Nutrition Store?
Answer: unfortunately, the most profitable things sold in nutrition stores are the things that dont work.
The scam products make the most money for the retailers.
i know a guy i no longer speak to because he's selling the crap out of ACAI berry and lying to everyone who walks through his doors.
ten years ago, there was a broad market for organic foods and natural this or natural that.
a lot of the vitamin retailers were making a living off of those and gluten free items and stuff but it has tapered off a lot.

Actually, supplements, like gymnema sylvestre, cinnamon, fenugreek, and banaba leaf, are cheap. Especially when compared to more medication.

Question: Can I deduct the cost of vitamins, nutrition supplements, and alternative therapies from my Income Tax if...? ...I am a professional speaker on the topic? I advocate the use of these lifestyles, therapies, and products for health, wellness, and slowing the aging process. I definitely practice what I preach. I use/do everything I recommend in my speeches. I am in my mid-50s and look (and act) much younger.
I know that I am a walking promotion for my speaking business and that my appearance and behavior validates my expertise/opinions in the audience's eyes. Therefore, I have to believe that my personal use of vitamins, supplements, and other alternative therapies should fall under the category of a business expense and be tax deductible. I am told by colleagues that this is "probably" true, but no one can give me any hard data to back up that claim.
If you agree (or disagree), can you give me the references I would need and could use if the tax deductions are ever challenged by the IRS.
Thank you for you help.
Answer: The products you "take" yourself are not deductible, since they are personal in nature. The rationale is the same for your suits and personal appearance. You need to have nice clothes and have your hair cut etc for your speaking engagements, but they aren't deductible either. You could wear that suit for something other than a speaking engagement. The supplements help you in other areas of your life, not just your professional one. However, you can deduct any supplements you use as samples or displays, that are not available for sale. If you have pills that are available for sale (inventory) they are deducted when sold.

Question: Anyone with nutrition knowledge- what supplements can I take to strengthen my nails? I already take 5000-10,000 mcgs of Biotin.
What can I take to help my thin nails to thicken or at the very least become a little stronger.
I am a healthy adult, I take a multivitamin, vit B, fish oil and calcium.
Are there any other supplements that I am forgetting?
I think I said I am a healthy adult.
which means my diet is excellent.
My calcium intake is already maxed.
I take calcium., 600 to 1200 mg. daily
Answer: I had the same problem. I tried some nail strengthening nail polish (It was like $2 at wallgreens or something) but it actually didn't work. I guess it makes sense, it was only $2 or something. But, it's good you're taking calcium! Try vitamin E. If you puncture the little capsules and apply the liquidy stuff directly onto your cuticles, it actually does work as well. I've tried a lot of things...and that's worked the best for me!
Good luck! = ]

Question: If i do P90X w/o nutrition & supplements& energy drinks only doing the videos what will be the disadvantages? just wondering cuz im doing it soon
Is it fine it i do the workout, nothing else-supplements and all that stuff?
Answer: the possible disadvantage is you would not consume enough protein to meet the needs of your muscles. You can avoid this by consuming 1. gram of protein per lbs of lean body mass. Other than that, you may not lose as much weight if you are consuming too many simple carbs or excess calories by not following the program
