Question: What is a simple quick cheap fast nutritional meal to prepare for lunch and/or dinner ? A meal for 2 Adults 2? recipes accepted for us lazy people.
Answer: For lunch just make sandwiches, but if you want to cook something try this.
Vol au Vants: Shepherds Pie.
2 packs Vol au Vents - family
300g minced beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled and diced
½ cup peas
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup water
2 tbsp gravy powder
salt and pepper to taste
3-4 medium potatoes, peeled, cooked and mashed
1. Brown beef together with the onion for 8-10 minutes until well cooked.
2. Add the carrot, peas and combined worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, gravy powder, water and salt and pepper to the pan. Simmer over a low heat for 10 minutes.
3. Cool mixture slightly, then spoon into the Vol au Vents.
4. Top with mashed potato and bake in a pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes until potato is golden brown.
5. Serve hot with seasonal veggies or garden salad.
Note: Shepherds Pie may be frozen once cold for up to 3 months.

Answer: Salad containing veggies and fruits with fish/beans. Water for drink.
Question: What are good meal supplement/nutritional drinks? I want to gain some healthy weight such as muscle or a little fat. I was wondering what is a good liquid diet to try?
I am looking to GAIN weight.
Answer: Try mixing a bottle of ensure, 2 scoops of ice cream, and a scoop of peanut butter in a blender then drink it like a milk shake. I'm 15 and have Crohn's Disease so it's really hard for me to gain weight (nearly impossible). Peanut butter and nuts have healthy protein in them to help you gain weight.

INGREDIENTS
* 1 banana
* 1 tofutti cutie
* about 1 cup of juice
* about 1 cup of Vanilla Rice Dream
DIRECTIONS
1) Mix everything in a blender.

* 3 generous scoops lactose-free vanilla ice cream
* 1/2 can Boost
Directions
1) Blend if you have a blender, otherwise stir to a shake. Tastes best through a straw.
Ingredients:
* 1½ tsp. unflavored gelatin
* 2 Tbsp cold water
* 3 Tbsp sugar
* 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
* 1½ cups of any flavor Ensure
* 3 Tbsp corn oil
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
1) Soften gelatin in cold water.
2) Add sugar and corn syrup. Heat slowly to dissolve sugar and gelatin.
3) Combine Ensure, corn oil and gelatin-sugar mixture. Mix well and pour into blender. Blender capacity should be at least 5 cups. Blend until thick and creamy.
4) Add vanilla extract, if desired, and mix well. Or add fruit to the blender at this point. Blend well.
5) Pour blended mix into an ice cube tray and freeze until very icy.
6) Place back into blender and blend until smooth.
7) Pour into container and return to freezer until firm.
Make three ½ cup servings.
This is a shake my doctor recommended for me to gain weight:
2-3 scoops of Ice cream 1 Packet of any flavor Carnation Instant Breakfast
And any other things that you might like to add like fruit candy bars or other stuff.

1 instant breakfast packet, any flavor
3/4 c. whole milk
1/4 c. heavy whipping cream
1/2 c. ice cream, any flavor
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.

It has all the food groups and adds it up as you go. It's very simple.
Question: What are the disadvantages of meal-replacement nutritional drinks?
Answer: Other than expense none. You have to eat 5-6 times per day to lose weight and be helathy. Not everyone can do that. That is when those MRP's come in handy. If you did nothing but MRP's your body would forget (temporarily obviously) how to digest food and you would have problems. When you ate solid food again, yuo would likely gain weight.

Question: Is there much difference in the nutritional value between a microwave meal and a meal cooked using fresh foods? I'm trying to bulk up and need 30g of protein in each meal. I was just wondering whether a microwave meal (for example chicken korma) thrown in the microwave for 5 minutes is just as good as if you cooked the chicken in the oven then added the korma sauce which takes alot more time. Answer: A sandwich on whole wheat bread with ham, lettuce, and tomato, and some water.
The good thing about this meal is that bread comes in package, and you can reuse later, same with the ham, and others.

Answer: What I mostly eat is fish, veggies, fruits and nuts. All of that is healthy and you can mix and match as you like. No fast foods or processed foods.
I also take Omega 3 pills twice a day and vitamin D3 once a day.

1 cup milk
1/2 c non-fat dry milk powder
sweetener to taste (honey, sugar, molasses, corn syrup, etc)
flavoring (chocolate, vanilla, fruit flavor etc)
Commercial shakes are all some variation of this recipe, dry milk powder and some milk proteins.

Question: Does nutritional information on a meal inlcude EVERYTHING including sauce? Say, for example, that I get a cheese fries frozen dinner, but don't eat all of the cheese, does the nutritional information include ALL of the sauce, or just an estimated amount?

Question: what is the nutritional requirement ,factor to consider planning meal and strategy people use to prevent it? My friend has always been thin and she does not like to eat anything that has milk or that has been made from milk products. During a physical training session, she tripped and broke her hips. The doctor said that she will have to be in a wheelchair for about a year. The doctor said her bones were less dense as she did not consume adequate amount of calcium.
Answer: They have calcium supplements that you can get over the counter. There is also a prescription drug called Fosamax that can help prevent bone loss. If she is elderly this might not help much. These things are really only to prevent bone loss. It is hard to get the bone density back once it is lost but it is worth a try. Have her talk to her doctor.
Question: if i were to eat chips and baked beans every meal, would there be a nutritional defienceny there? For survival? what would they be lacking in?
Answer: For survival you would last on that but all your vitamins and minerals would be lacking and eventually non exsistant. As part of a balanced diet you would be ok if you added whole grains,nuts to balance the protien with the beans. Chips would have to be fried in vegetable oil and you need lots of fruit and veg every day.
