Question: pca?????????? is PCA a real school? if its not...is there any school like it?
Answer: It's similar to a boarding school, but PCA is just a school on a television show. I'm pretty sure normal boarding schools are nothing like PCA. The things that happen on Zoey 101 are purely fiction.
I had a few friends that went to boarding schools and none of them enjoyed it. PCA is more like a summer camp. Sorry =/
Question: For PCA/HHA training, do you need a physical exam in the past year to start training? I've only seen on one website a physical exam in the last year is necessary but other websites do not list this as necessary to sign up for the training classes. Do you need a physical exam to begin training to be a HHA/PCA?
Thanks!
Answer: I suggest you to try project payday, simply because you don't need any money up front and you can start making money within minutes. I average around 3,500 dollars every month with it. Check it out at http://tr.im/kjOY
Question: What's the difference between PCA and a CNA? What do they do in general? Do they have to give shots or IVs? I'm not sure how intensive the training is to become a PCA or CNA. How much does the schooling cost in general? What kind of duties do people with these jobs have? Thanks for any info.
DEEBY AND JUSTME - THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!!!!
Answer: A PCA is a patient controlled analgesia. & a CNA is a certified nursing assistant. I am a CNA & only the RN's (registered nurses) give out shots/IV's.
CNA's are basically care companion's for the elderly in nursing homes, retirement centers, assisted living facilities or in-home. You do showers, pass out medications & help w/their daily basic needs.
Depending on if you want to go to a community college or a test prepping class (which I did) is something you need to think about & it all differs as far as money goes.
In order for you to get your CNA license, you would need to pass 3 skills out of the 22 you learn in class plus a 60 question written exam. Pretty easy though.
I am not too sure about the PCA though.
Hope this helps somewhat.
Question: what is PCA?and why did the NTSB discontinued the project? I heard PCA is some kinda alternative if all the Hydraulics fail in a flight.could someone tell me more on this and where i can find information regarding this?
Answer: Aircraft are normally controlled (turn, climb, descent) using the flight controls (elevators, ailerons, rudder). If the flight controls fail (like total hydraulics failure - see the Sioux City accident in 1989), the only way to control an aircraft is by modifying engine thrust. If you add more power to the engines, the plane will climb; if left engine has more power, the plane will turn to the right etc.
Controlling by throttes only is a very hard task for the pilots; and those who tried it usually crashed. So there was a concept of automating this throttles-only control, this was called PCA (propulsion controlled aircraft). It is an emergency flight control system - when hydraulics fail, the autopilot can still maneuver the plane using the thrust. Actually this is only an additional program in the autopilot, not a separate device.
The PCA software was developed by NASA in the mid-90s and actual flight tests were made. Unfortunately, none of the aircraft manufacturers chose to adopt the technology as they did not see a potential in PCA (it was not NTSB who discontinued it; in fact NTSB were those who initially recommended that backup means of motive power to powered flight controls should be developed for all new widebody airplanes).
A recent accident in 2003 (a DHL plane was struck by a missile and hydraulics were lost) made companies more interested in the PCA system.
Question: What are some good activities to do for a PCA? I am a PCA for 2 twin boys and i am running out of ideas. Any PCA's out there? Can you help me out?
Answer: You don't say how old they are, but all boys have loads of energy so ball games are always best if you have an area for that. Or role play, get them to pretend they are characters, that's quite physical too.
If they are very young, nursery rhymes with actions are good.
Can you have a kind of scavenger hunt, where you hide things and they have to find them?
Or make some simple musical instruments (rice in pots, banging saucepan lids) and get them to make something up?
Question: How do you become a PCA (patient care assitant) in Cincinnati, Oh? Are there courses you can enroll in at a local hospital or does PCA come along with expirence?
Answer: I have too much information to put down here so I will just give you an EXCELLENT website link:

Question: Where can I find an affordable boarding school like PCA? I really want to get an advanced education and also have fun at a boarding school like PCA on Zoey 101, but my parents simply can't afford it... Help?
Answer: Boarding schools are a bit pricey, have you looked into some private schools in your area? You will still get a good education but the cost will probably be alot less than a boarding school. Also, PCA will naturally be more glitzy and glam since Zoey 101 is a tv show. Boarding schools are similar to college dorms. The rooms are not that big and as colorful as Zoey 101
Question: PCA or PLSDA for discrimination of two classes of spectroscopy samples? I am trying to discriminate two groups of samples using PCA. Unfortunately I only manage to see trends and not full discrimination with PCA. Then instead of using OSC I decide to try PLSDA and discrimination is crystal clear. Is PLSDA method legit? I am a bit unsure because it is supervised. What I am trying to ask is : Does PLSDA force discrimination between groups of samples when it shouldn't?
