Provitamin A Carotenoids

Question: Can my son take Vita-Vim? I bought these Vita-Vim vitamins, I didn't read the label carefully though... I was just wondering if he could take them, hes 13 years old and about 100 pounds. They are Vita-Vim Regular Vitamins, they contain: Vitamins: Vitamin A (acetate) 3000 IU; Beta-carotene (provitamin A) 1000 IU; Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 600 IU; Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 150 mg Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopheryl acetate) 15 IU; Vitamin B1 (thiamine mononitrate) 2.5 mg; Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) 2.5 mg; Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) 25 mg; Pantothenic Acid (calcium d-pantothenate) 25 mg; Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine HCl) 25 mg; Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) 25 mcg; Biotin 15 mcg; Folic acid 0.4 mg Minerals: Calcium (carbonate) 150 mg; Magnesium (oxide) 75 mg; Iron (ferrous gluconate) 4 mg; Zinc (gluconate) 10 mg; Copper (gluconate) 1 mg; Iodine (potassium iodide) 100 mcg; Chromium (HVP chelate) 10 mcg; Selenium (HVP chelate) 10 mcg Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Citrus Bioflavonoids (Hesperidin 3%) 2000 mcg; Digestive Enzymes 4000 mcg (Bromelain, Papain, Amylase, Lipase, Cellulase); Lycopene (Carotenoids Complex) 300 mcg; Lutein (standardized to 5%) 300 mcg Green Tea Phytosome 1 mg [1 part GreenSelect (60% polyphenols/40% EGCG) 2 parts – Soy Phosphatidylcholine]; Grape Seed Phytosome 1 mg [1 part LeucoSelect® (95% Polyphenols) 2 parts Soy Phosphatidylcholine, PE 100:1]; Peppermint Leaves .2 mg (Leaves of Mentha Piperita, PE 4:1) Thanks for you help! P.S. They do specify "Adult" but there isn't a specific age limit. I know my son can take adult Tylenol so I was wondering.

Answer: frankly speaking yes he can but not for long time since long term use of vitamin A is contraindicated since it cause liver toxicity
