School Lunch

Question: school lunch? are there any programs that i could get my school involved in that would give our students better quality and healthier food for lunch?

Answer: go to the principal and discuss including healthier options at the cafeteria. if he refuses to listen, then go to the district. you can go it alone, or you can get a group of people to state your case with you. it might be tough, but it will be well worth the battle. check out "don't eat this book" by morgan spurlock @ your library. there was a lady who was able to change how this one school served their food in olympia, washington. the school now has a garden and allows their students to participate in growing their own organic veggies. a lot of the junk they were serving in the cafeteria was replaced with healthier options. there is contact information in the appendix of that particular lady in washington and other people/groups who've made a positive change in their schools. best wishes.
