(how many cups)
Answer: 1/2 - 1 cup per person. Corn is pretty sweet, so you need to watch how much you eat.
Question: Serving size? When simply trying to maintain a healthy weight, not necessarily losing or gaining, is it best to go with the printed serving size, or above/under?
Thanks :)
Answer: The thing are serving size is that they are expecting you to eat other things with it. Like a serving of rice, with a serving of chicken, with a serving of veggies, with a serving of potatoes. You know what I mean? A healthy meal means you are suppose to eat well rounded and each bunch of dif food. Most people these days just eat one type of food for a meal. Like a thing of macaroni cheese is about 3 servings, and if you eat that by itself.. it isn't too bad. Besides the fact that mac and cheese isn't really all that good for you haha :)
Question: What is difference between serving size and serving size per container? On the pizza rolls it says:
serving size = 6
serving size per container = 15
Servings per calories = 210
Does that mean there are 210 calories in 6 pizza rolls or 15?
Why do they have the "serving size per container" in there?
Answer: I think you've misread because it is confusing as you wrote it or it's a typo on the box?
You wrote - Serving size per container = 15 - Servings per calories = 210
I bet it says- Servings per container = 15 - Calories per serving = 210
Each box/container has 90 pizza rolls with 3,150 total calories per box.
They say that a serving is 6 pizza rolls which has 210 calories & the container has 15 servings.
Question: What is the normal serving size for hot asian teas? In ounces, can you tell me the usual serving size for hot asian teas?
Please, no replies from the usual moron trolls who hang out in the V&V section.
Answer: Hi,
I type only of the lovely sweet black teas that I often partook of when living in the Mid-East.
Usually served in what I can best describe as old-fashioned sherry glasses.
I did compliment my host one day on the fine quality of the tea, and he was bemused to learn that a lot of Brits just bunged a perforated bag in a mug with boiled water, and swamped it with milk.
He kindly led me to his kitchen , complete with "houseboy", who showed me that he takes fresh, but dried and seasoned varieties of teas from the local souk, infuses them for an hour or so in hot water, strains the product, and just adds a fair amount of brown sugar
Boiling water is then added, and poured into those little glasses.
Quite a performance for a cup of tea !
I started making that at home, much to the delight of my Arabic guests.
As for ounces per glassful. I would guess he used about about 2-3 ounces for ten glasses, used twice.
Chi, it is called, and fine stuff, although I did make a personal "improvement" once by adding a good sprinkle of dark rum.
Cheers !
Bob
Question: What is the average food serving size for the average dog? In GRAMS only, what is the average food serving size for the average dog? I'm doing an assignment and all I need is the overall average, not the amount for each type of dog.
Answer: Pick a brand of food that appropriate for you dog then read the feeding chart at the side of the bag. Normally it goes by the size and weight of a dog. You can split the feeding suggestion into half then feed one half in the morning and the other half in the evening. This way will be easier for your dog to digest.

Even with a can of Coke and a 2-liter of Coke. Same product, different serving size.

Question: Who determines how big a serving size is? Is there a certain organization that determines a serving size or is it up to the company producing the food or beverage? If you look at a can of tuna or soup, for example, it usually list 2.5 servings. The serving size just seems arbitrary and ridiculous; 2 adults and a child could not split a can of tuna and be satisfied.
Answer: It is regulated by the FDA which follows the food guide pyramid. By following a serving size on a can of tuna for instance, they are not saying you can only have that bit - That little portion is supposed to be incorporated into a meal of all food groups - 1/2c tuna, 1/2c veggies, 8 oz glass of milk, a serving of bread for instance. Also, the serving size will vary depending on calories - tuna in oil will be smaller than tuna in water.
Question: How do I calculate serving size when 1 serving is a fraction? Serving size: 1/3 of a pizza
Calories: 370
Fat: 16g
I only ate 1/8 of the pizza. How do I calculate the calories and fat?
Answer: Multiply the serving size by the calories per derving to find out how much in the whole thing, then divide by how much you ate.
So...370x3=1110 1110/8= 138.75 calories
16x3=48 48/8=6g fat.

Question: Way to spread out a serving size of peanut butter? If you're like me, you could eat 5 spoonfuls of peanut butter in the blink of an eye. I've just discovered that I can "stretch out" a serving size by rolling the spoonful in steel cut oats. I nibble off the outer most layer, then roll it again in steel cut oats. It's amazing and feels like I'm eating 6 serving sizes of peanut butter. Anyone have any equally good ideas?
Answer: This is really really bad, but... I roll them my teaspoon in mini chocolate chips. So while it may be a good idea, it doesn't help with the calorie thing, lol!
I might try doing it with coconut someday too; that would be yummy. I guess if you didn't hate raisins as much as I do you could use them.
Your oat trick is a definite possibility... something to think about.
Question: What determines the serving size of fruit? Ok, so a banana is considered 2 servings of fruit, not just one. Is it Calorie count, nutritional value, or something else that determines the serving size?
please read the question, and answer again...this time by telling me what I actually was asking for.
Answer: It is a number of things. A large banana is 2 servings, but a small banana may be one serving, an apple about the size of a tennis ball is 1 serving, but a large apple (baseball size) would be two servings. The most accurate way is to buy a scale and get a calorie counter online. You can buy an electronic scale for about $20 that weighs in ounces and grams and many calorie counters actually give the weight and calorie count for fruit.

Question: How do you determine a serving size? I never understood how the could have a serving size. can someone explain to me? like how something can be healthy if its 300 calories for one serving....i just don't understand the logic behind it all. could someone please explain?
Answer: a serving of meat is the size of a deck of cards
a serving of pasta is as much that would fit in a tennis ball cut in half
and for on the boxes
at the top it says serving. Say its chips, the serving size is 7 chips
all the nutrition info below as far as sodium, fat, ect. is how much is in that one serving. not in the whole box
