Steps
Question: Steps to opening a chiropractic or medical office? I am a 1st year chiropractic student, and want to begin early on planning out my practice. Does anyone have a STEP-BY-STEP outline of everything I need to get done to open up a partnership or sole-proprietorship chiropractic (or medical - as the steps will likely be close) practice?
Also, can I have a sole proprietorship with two people, or would that legally require a partnership?
Thanks for your help!

Question: How long after first steps did you baby start to walk? My daughter is 11 months and can take up to 6 steps on her own without any assistance. She literally runs behind her push toy! She went from only being able to take 1-2 steps to taking 4 steps in one day! Now she is taking more when she really wants something. She has progressed so much in the past 3 days! How long did it take your child to go from averaging 4 steps to walking from thing to thing? When can I say she is actually walking?
Answer: Well my son took his first steps at 9mos and by 9 1/2 he was fully walking. he practiced his first steps alot in those two weeks!
Then my middle child took her first steps just before 10mos and by 10mos was fully walking so about a week for her.
Then the baby whom is now 16mos took her first steps very early...7 1/2 mos and fully walked right after 8mos so almost 3 weeks for her. I actually thought she may walk before 8mos! But she practiced longer than the other two:)
I do not say they are actually walking till they walk most of the time. Like at first they tend to find other modes such as crawling because its easier or they take like 6-9 steps and fall...to me that's not walking. But once they take many steps in a row they are very close to walking!!
Question: What steps should government take to make education cheaper in India to educate all? As we have been witnessing daily that day by day education is becoming costlier affair in India and most of the aspirants discontinue their studies for want of money to be charged for higher education. This as I feel, leads to frustration and best students gets involved in some anti-social activities. Government can curb this if some concrete steps are taken in this directions. I would also you to kindly suggest some steps for the better education within the reach of every student.
Answer: This is interesting. There is a yahoo answers for India at the bottom of your screen.
I don't know how India handles education. But they should probably rely on taxes to finance education. They also should make education compulsory.
As for getting involved in "anti-social activities," there's not much one can do about that. The most radical and anti-social people I've encountered have been young college students. It's always the college students who are bold enough to start trouble and smart enough to question authority.
Question: What are the steps of painting an aircraft? I wish the steps be in order from first step to last step. Also, I wish the words be complete & formal.
Answer: You learn this stuff in A and P school. This is the process for painting aluminum.
1. Cover all sensors, antennas, landing gear and windows
2. You use a chemical paint striper. Sanding will warp the aluminum.
3. Once all paint is off use a solvent to clean bare metal and inspect all metal pay close attention to around the rivets for stress cracks and around corners of windows, and repair any defects.
4. Now you will chemical etch the metal. This is stinky stuff and will actually put tiny scratches in the metal for the primer to stick to. Once again do not use sandpaper as a substitute.
5. Hose the enter aircraft with water to deactivate etching chemical, and clean aircraft with solvent.
6. Now for the painting. All Aircraft are painter with a HVLP paint gun to provide a even coat of paint and waste less paint also. The first primer is going to be a metal sealer to prevent corrosion. It is a Zinc Chromate Primer which is a yellow or green primer. This coat of Primer is very light and you should be able to still see metal through the primer.
7. Because paint has a very hard time sticking to Zinc Chromate primer you will need to use another primer. Once again a light coat fallowed by a heavier coat once the lighter coat has tacked.
8. Let aircraft sit over night to let primer cure. Sand out any imperfections in primer coats. Use a 600grit sand paper and do not go though your upper layer of primer. If you do lay another coat down.
9. Clean aircraft again removing all dust and sanded primer.
10. Time no for the base coat. Once again start with a lighter coat of paint almost to wear you can still see the primer. allow time for paint to tack up and fallow by a heavy coat.
11. Allow paint to dry over night. Sand out any imperfections in paint fallowed by a color sanding.
12. Your top coat or Clear is next. Again light coat fallowed by a TWO heavier coats
13. Final sanding start with a 600 grit but only use it on any runs in the clear do not go over the entire aircraft and use water on the sand paper and spray some on the aircraft also. After all the runs are leveled wet sand the entire aircraft starting with a 1000grit sand paper and working you way up to a 3000grit.
14. Glaze the paint to bring out final shine
15. White in log book what was done and reweigh aircraft.
There are instructions also in the 43.13b General Maintainence book.
Also here is a website that explains what type of equipment you need and techniques.

Question: What steps to follow with a rotary engine in a mazda rx8 to take good care of the car? New to the rotary engine world and I know that they need a lot more care and attention than a normal engine. I was wondering what a list of steps and procedures will help enhance the life and performance of the vehicle. I know that changing the oil very often is a must and maybe adding a little premix to the fuel but what other steps can i follow?
Answer: Rotary engines don't really take a lot more care, but proper, knowledgeable care. This is where so many owners get into problems and why rotary engines have such a bad rap. Mazda really needs to educate new owners.
The basics of rotary care:
1) Let the engine warm up a bit before driving off if you can. Restrict RPM's until the motor is fully warmed.
2) Do NOT shut off a rotary engine "cold" as this can lead to flooding. This is because, like all engines, the high idle fuel flow is higher to keep the motor running until warmed up a bit. The difference is that in a rotary the engine design can let excess fuel "pool" at the bottom of the rotor housing, thinning the oil on the walls, and therefore loosing the seal leading to compression loss. You can safely shut off the motor when it drops to low idle (around 800-900 rpm). If you must shut down cold, rev the motor to 3000 rpm and hold for 8 - 10 seconds. This cuts the fuel flow to regular levels and burns off any excess, preventing flooding.
3) NEVER overheat a rotary engine...period. You will warp a rotor housing and then need a new motor.
4) Carbon build up is a bigger issue in a rotary, and the damage it can cause is higher, too. Keep carbon & varnish at bay by giving the engine rev's when you can. A red-line a day will keep the mechanic away. Rotary engines love high rev's so indulge when it's safe to do so. Taking long highway drives are another good way to keep the motor clean.
5) Check you oil levels often. Since some oil is injected into the combustion chambers you will have to monitor your oil. Expect to add a quart every 1500 - 2500 miles. And since oil is injected get fresh oil in there by changing your oil every 3000 or so miles.
6) Except for a very few specific synthetic oils, stay away from synthetics. You oil needs to burn off as cleanly as possible when injected into the combustion chambers, and most synthetics are designed to NOT burn-off easily.
7) Pre-mixing good 2 cycle motor oil into your gas is something a lot of rotary owners do (including me). It gives that little added insurance that you'll have good lubrication for the rotor seals. You only need 4 - 6 ounces per full tank.
Question: How many steps should I be walking each day for weight loss? I just got a pedometer and want to know how many steps I should walk each day. Also do u know how many steps are in a mile?
I also have a workout dvd, should i do that on my 2 days off or use that on the days that i walk.? I want to walk 5 days.
Answer: about 10,000 steps in a day.
How many steps in a mile is an individual thing, there is a calculation for working it out using your own step length. My pedometer came with instructions on how to do this but the instructions have gone bye bye now. sorry.
Question: How many steps should I take on the treadmill daily to lose weight? I am 13. I am 5' 6" and used to be 159 pounds. I take in about 1,000 calories a day. I lost 14 pounds in 2 weeks by walking and running in place when every I watch TV. Now I am 145 pounds. My knees began to hurt from walking in place. Now we have a treadmill. I usually take 5,000 steps (2.6 miles) on the treamill daily. How much should many steps should I be taking to lose weight?
Answer: Firstly, you need to intake more calories. Your crash diet is working, but you'll blow up like a balloon once you stop your diet. I know because I tried it.
Second, burning calories is more a function of time than distance. Keep a pace that significantly raises your heart rate, and do a minimum of 30 minutes, 3 times per week. You can certainly do more, but be sure to give yourself at least one day of rest each week.
Question: What legal steps should a wife take when a husband abandons a family? A friend of mine's husband is threating to file for a divorce and she is not working and has two children. Question: What are all the steps involved for a company to create a purchase order? What are all the steps involved in creating a purchase order? What's the document flow?
I'm trying to find out all of the steps involved, such as, where does the paper go from and to, how many parts does it have – requisition to create item, then the best price, then cut the order, etc.
Please let me know I'm sure there are many more steps to this than I can think of, I'm just not sure what else is involved.
Thanks!
Answer: Purchase orders: You would need at least 3 copies. First copy - Supplier, Second - Purchasing Dept, Third - Receiving Copy. A Supplier may require that purchaser send more than one copy for their filing systems. The Purchasing Dept copy is usually kept in as 'permanent' file for easy future reference. The Receiving Copy is matched to supplier's packing slip when order is received, then sent to Accounts Payable Dept, to insure shipment was received as ordered before payment.
Sales orders: Purchaser's copy, Salesman's copy, Packing/Shipment copy, Invoicing copy. The Packing copy is also matched w Invoicing copy so that only the quantity shipped is actually billed. Manufacturing companies may need extra copies for production dept. Some copies (like production and packing) show no prices . Say, the seamstresses don't need to know sales... they'd go into business for themselves.
Question: How many steps are you aloud to take after you pick up your dribble? Im very confused. I was always told two steps after you dribble, so if I were to jump stop on the free throw line, could I take two steps and jump and do a little floater? Or would that be a travel? I always thought I could, but Ive been told its a travel, thanks for your help.
Answer: Depends. Its supposed to be 2 if you're moving, but it's rarely called in the NBA. I mean, being a Knicks fan, I remember the days of Patrick Ewing taking like 4 steps across the lane and never being called.
In your case, it would be a travel. You're allowed the 2 steps if you're moving. like driving to the basket. If you completely stop at the foul line, you can take 1 step in any direction as if you were pivoting, but you can't take a 2nd step.
Here are the rules, as stated by the NBA when it comes to traveling.
Section XIV-Traveling
a. A player who receives the ball while standing still may pivot, using either foot as the pivot foot.
b. A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may use a two-count rhythm in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball.
The first count occurs:
(1) As he receives the ball, if either foot is touching the floor at the time he receives it.
(2) As the foot touches the floor, or as both feet touch the floor simultane- ously after he receives the ball, if both feet are off the floor when he receives it.
The second occurs:
(1) After the count of one when either foot touches the floor, or both feet touch the floor simultaneously.
c. A player who comes to a stop on the count of one may pivot, using either foot as the pivot foot.
d. A player who comes to a stop on the count of two, with one foot in advance of the other, may pivot using only the rear foot as the pivot foot.
e. A player who comes to a stop on the count of two, with neither foot in advance of the other, may use either foot as the pivot foot.
f. In starting a dribble after (1) receiving the ball while standing still, or (2) coming to a legal stop, the ball must be out of the player's hand before the pivot foot is raised off the floor.
g. If a player, with the ball in his possession, raises his pivot foot off the floor, he must pass or shoot before his pivot foot returns to the floor. If he drops the ball while in the air, he may not be the first to touch the ball.
h. A player who falls to the floor while holding the ball, or while coming to a stop, may not gain an advantage by sliding.
i. A player who attempts a field goal may not be the first to touch the ball if it fails to touch the backboard, basket ring or another player.
PENALTY: Loss of ball. The ball is awarded to the opposing team at the sideline, nearest spot of the violation but no nearer the baseline than the foul line extended.
Question: How many steps should a person walk each day to remain healthy? I just got a stepometre in a box of Special K and I'm measuring the steps that I take all day. But how many steps are recommended?
Answer: We had a contest here at work and it was recommended to do 5,000 steps a day.
The pedometer helped me realize I was only putting in about 3,500 a day, so I parked farther away from my office, intentionally walked to different places, etc...
Good luck!!
Question: How many steps are there between the home and visitor hash on a football field? How many feet (or steps if you know it) are between them? I'm not talking about from sideline to sideline, but between the hashes? And, how many steps from the sideline to the hash?
Answer: Team areas are 12 feet away from the sidelines. The field is 160 feet wide. So it's 184 feet from team area to team area.

Question: How do I create cement steps off the back of our home? I would like to create three cement steps off the rear of our house. We have a patio door that simply has aging wood steps there. Currently no patio, just grass. The drop is about 1.5 feet from the ground to the lip of the patio door. Also, the wood behind the current steps needs to be replaced. What goes there? More wood or Aluminum trim? Also, house has aluminum siding if that matters. Thanks for your help!
Answer: fhzwart
Sounds like a contractor job. What goes there is HDPE (plastic wood). Read about it:
http://www.decks.com/
http://www.epsplasticlumber.com/lumberpricing.shtml?OVRAW=plastic%20wood%20products&OVKEY=plastic%20wood%20product&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=1180031022&OVKWID=8541239022
http://www.nps.gov/sustain/spop/wood.html
Replace the decaed siding by the steps. Replace steps with HDPE or form and place concrete. If you are going to install a patio/deck later, the concrete will be more difficult to remove (if required) than will HDPE lumber.
Question: What are the steps to purchasing a home? I am finally ready financially to purchase a home and was wondering what the actual steps are in terms of a home purchase. From the moment of checking out open homes to finally moving in, what are the steps involved? And what are the costs involved, from my opening bid to property taxes, etc. I am not sure if there are differences, but I am talking actual homes, not condos or townhouses. Thanks in advance.
Answer: 1) Get preapproved so you know your exact dollar amount and APR-- this gives you an idea of what your monthly P&I payments are.
2) Figure out what you want-- bedrooms, baths, towns, etc. Go online and print out some listings somewhere like www.re2k.com or windemere.com or whatever.
3) Drive by lots of houses. You'll be suprised how many you eliminate right off the bat.
4) Find a realtor to show you the homes-- but not the seller's realtor. If the realtor takes more htan a day to return your call, find a new one-- its a hint at whats to come and you dont want a lazy/unresponsive agent.
5) When you find a house you like, you put in an offer. If you want your loan to be 0 down, dont forget to include that the selelr pays your closing costs (typically 3% of the purchase price). You should be able to know how much the taxes are on the home at this point-- its usually something your realtor can find in the listing.
6) the seller either accepts, rejects, or counter offers. Once you reach an agreement, you have a binding purcahse and sale agreement. Often times you want to have "earnest money" to put down to show you're serious. Oftne its just a token amount like 1% or $1,000. If your loan is 0 down, you get this back at closing or it can go towards your costs...or whtaever. Make the check payable to the escrow company, NOT the seller, in case there are issues later and the seller doesn't want to return it.
7) You set a closing date, typically 30-45 days after agreement. You should also be shopping for home owners insurance. I pay $700 a year for mine.
8) You get a house inspection ($200-400) if you want-- but its reccomended.
9) You give the purcahse & sale to your lender and the escrow company, and they coordinate everything. Tell them which insurnace company you are using, as a 1 year premium is paid at closing.
10) You go a few days before closing and sign all your loan documents. You'll know your exact loan payment and when it is going to be due by now.
11) on closing date the loan funds and you usually move in-- unless the purchase and sale stated a different date of possession.
12) your first mortgage payment is typically 30-45 days after closing.
