Question: Weight Loss? Any suggestions for weight loss, yes exercise and eating right, but I mean more like a small extra thing to do, such as some kind of food or something that would help accelerate metabolism?

Answer: Losing weight quickly isn't the best option. Even if your family doesn't need to lose weight, it's still a really good idea to make healthy choices while at the grocery store. Ask your mom to start buying whole grains, more fruits and veggies, and if she wants to keep buying snacks, to put them where you don't have easy access.
In the meantime, start exercising. I absolutely love yoga and pilates, they build lean muscle and increase flaxibility. You might want to 'shop around' a little bit, though; try a new sport at school or go for a walk in the morning before school.
It won't come off really fast, but you'll be much healthier and happier, honestly. Don't go for the easy way out when it comes to your health.

I am quite popular and nice looking i've been told haha :S and i want to lose weight fast .....
I used to be skinny but i am gaining weight quite often and its showing with a big belly and chest etc ....
I used to eat healthily like - fruit etc but now

Answer: The problem with your question is that if you look in "search for questions" it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don't see the issue with recycling the same answer.
In practise for problems that came up on a regular basis we tended to use patient leaflets to avoid having to repeat ourselves this seemed a sensible use of resources. What follows is thus in effect me information leaflet.
Weight loss and fitness is always a long term commitment and never a quick fix. If you really want to reduce your weight a bit, this is a complex regime, that should help, I would get a pencil to write it down, in case you forget any of the intricate details.
Currently only using the criteria 'lose weight' there are 9,151 questions and answers on Answers already. Mis-spell it as 'loose weight' and you get another 2,554! 'Weight loss' will add another 1,839. 'Too fat ' 15,167 and 'overweight' 2,630 and 'over weight' 25,588!!!!!.
'Diet Pills' gives 593, Hoodia 194, 'pink patch' 116, 'Xenical' 89 'Reductil' 75, 'Slim fast' 213 (and Slimfast 69 ), lipotrim 44 and 'orlistat' 39 . Do you spot a pattern here? OMG that is over 38,000 questions with the same basic theme, wanting to lose weight!

it has low calories with alot of protein to fill you up fast.
do some light exercises at home like push up and sit ups
(lean muscles help you burn fat)
drink green tea. i heard it increases your metabolism.
eat hot food. also increases metabolism.
eat more proteins and less carbs.
do some jumping jacks or buy jump rope
(doing it for 5 min walking for 5 min and repeat that for 20 min)
Question: What weight loss supplements can people with Bipolar condition take? I would like to know specifically what supplements to help aid weight loss for Bipolar people on weight gaining Bipolar medication (which slows the metabolism and increases appetitite)
I already know of Green Tea to speed up metabolism and suppress appetite and Acai Berry DOES help you look a bit thinner in the face and relieves minimal bloat if taken moderately.

Answer: I understand the problem with meds and weight gain. Going through it myself. However, I would not risk any supplement etc. This is because they may have something in them that could trigger a manic state. Supplements are not required to be tested by the FDA and we don't always know what is in these supplements and what might trigger an exacerbation in our symptoms. I do agree with the other poster about exercise. It is sooooo hard to do. I seriously have problems with staying motivated but my 15 year old (also bipolar) excercises everyday and she actually weighs less AND she eats whatever she wants. She just gets a lot of excercise and it works. Hope that helps.

Question: What are some tips for weight loss for teens? Answer: I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you'll want to keep going.

Question: What is the best and quickest weight loss excercise video? I am looking for a jump start weight loss video. Any suggestions. I do not want something that is super fast to the point where I will not be able to do it. I am fairly new at excercising and would not like to over do it or else I will not stick to it. Answer: Here's a few tips that work for me:
I spend a long time in front of a computer screen. Often I just stare at the monitor for up to 15 seconds while a page load or a document gets printed or whatever it is that the computer is doing.
When this is happening I lift my hands up over my head and then bring them down. I keep on doing this until the computer has finished whatever it is doing and it requires some input.,. from me.
I do similar exercises like getting up from the chair and sitting down again. I sometimes might be standing up and might type a few sentences while standing.
Combine this with drinking only water and I am doing something to lose weight. It is not much but doing it all the time it does help in losing weight.
I might swap this sometimes. I might decide that I will not do the arm exercise for a week but that week I will get off the lift two floor below and walk up the last two floors.
So long as when I go to bed at night I can say that that day I have done something extra to burn some weight, I am happy.
Question: How do you know the best form of weight loss for yourself versus others? I am 31 years old. I have two kids and have gained excessive weight after both of them. I had a cessarian with the first and natural with the second. I'm pear shaped so it's mostly in my hips and buttocks. I have a desk job so I sit a lot and I'm always too tired feeling to work out at night. I've been on every diet under the sun to only gain it all back. I've tried numerous excersises also. Over the counter weight loss pills or energy pills give me a racing heart. When I do loose weight I get the saggy belly that hangs between the legs when I sit and bend so how would I be able to find out how would be the best way to loose weight effectivly for myself and my body type and keep the sagging away. Answer: ok, first....stay away from the 'diet pills' --- they are ALL CRAP, EVERY ONE OF THEM.
they all say, 'use with ANY sensible diet and exercise program'...and the reason for this is that it is the sensible diet and exercise programs that are responsible for the weight loss, not the stupid pills.
as for sensible diet part -- and i'm not being funny here (it's what works) stop eating so much. most of us have 2 double whoppers with cheese, or super size our meals etc. Just stop eating as much -- 2 hot dogs instead of four, 1 whopper instead of 2, reduce calories gradually but noticeable. After a week or so, start throwing in the baked potato or salad instead of fries etc.
Just start eating less and less, then start eating healthier. Find good healthy things you can eat a lot of. And don't worry about the 'fat pig' comments or looks -- don't do it because of that, do it for your other reasons -- your life -- you're only 31 and have to live long and healthy to take care of your kids.
Work in the exercise program in whatever form you can -- walk more (stairs instead of elevators, park a little further away and work), take walks with kids, pets, start doing floor exercises, plays sports with kids etc. You don't have to join a gym or do 5 hrs of fitness a day -- just more than you are now.
GOOD LUCK -- eat less, eat healthy, start exercising, and exercise more.
