Question: Arthritis pain? do you have arthritis and if so does your doctor give you pain medication for it?
Answer: There is no medicine for RA, OA, H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for EAR ACHE, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating RA and other pains confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I treat it with our SHREE SWASTHYAYOG THERAPY, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping, COLD THINGS; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Hot things, Meat &soup, Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help.

Question: What is the best remedy for arthritis pain in the knee? Does it really normally come and go? I can't determine which of what I'm doing makes the pain go away for days after it attacks for few days. I do therapy but it recurred. I put warm bag/warm compress on my lower back now and I use some natural therapy cream made of ginger, virgin coconut oil and peppermint which seems to have stopped the pain so far. I don't know if it's just the nature of arthritis that it stops then recurs at any given time and I don't know anymore whether what i'm doing now is the one that makes the pain stop.

Question: Can rheumatoid arthritis pain follow my menstrual cycle? I have rheumatoid arthritis and celiac disease. I've noticed the joint pain is so much worse right before my menstrual cycle. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it's from the changing hormone levels. I have little to no pain during the rest of the month.
My doctor says there should be no relation, but it occurs every month like clockwork. He's referring me to a rheumatologist, but I still think there is a link here.
Answer: Yes,you are right, not only hormone levels, but also chemical stimulate levels.

Question: What do you do for facet joint arthritis pain? I have pain all down my lower back, hip, leg, and foot. I take Tylenol arthritis and sometimes Aleve, but it gets worse all the time. The affected joint is L5 S1. Thanks
Answer: Are you sure that is what it is? Even with a dr. saying so do you fully believe that this is what you have? I have seen and helped some who have told me about their arthritis, the specialists they saw all said that that was what they had. In less than 5 minutes I had them walking without pain. It wasn't any arthritis at all. You can have tight muscles, pinched muscles, which is so common a thing to have and someone gives it a name so you feel better, you now have a name to a pain and in some way we do feel better knowing that. doesn't mean everything is correct though. Here is how you can release your back to see if there is another explanation to your pain, a two minute process:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

Question: Does anyone know how to relieve chronic back pain due to inflammation and arthritis? I have tried OTC arthritis pain meds they don't offer much relief for me. I have had surgery for herniated disc. My doctor says that there is a lot of inflamation and arthritis in my back. You can't get Vioxx anymore. Is there an alternative?
Answer: Ice works better than any anti inflammatory for inflammation. Apply ice for 10 min, then off for 10 min, back and forth. Naproxen would be the next thing if you don't want ice. Exercise is the best treatment for arthritis, as pain gets worse if your muscles are stiff. I would recommend going for walks. Some pools have arthritis programs to do water aerobics that are special for arthritis. There are other meds you can take, such as Celebrex. Hope this helps, God Bless
Question: What can help my mom's rheumatoid arthritis pain? my mom has had rheumatoid arthritis for about 9 years now, and she had a knee replacement about 6 years ago... lately her arthritis has been causing her a lot of pain that she loses sleep over... medications that her doc gives her do not help. Are there any natural remedies or vitamins she can take to help ease the pain?
Answer: My sympathies to your mother (and you). I know all too well the pain of RA...
At the moment, I am in the same predicament. Lots of pain, loss of sleep. The pain makes sleeping impossible, and the loss of sleep makes the pain greater. It's a vicious cycle.
All I can suggest is that your mother speak with her rheumatologist and/or family practitioner and tell them everything that is going on. They may be able to prescribe a sleep aid along with the pain meds.
Vitamins and supplements? I don't know of anything that eliminates pain, although I *do* notice some lessening of pain when I eat fresh or frozen pineapple, or tart cherries. The bromelian in pineapple is an anti-inflammatory, and can be obtained as an OTC supplement. Ditto the cherry supplements. Both of these seem to be perfectly safe.
Some people swear by melatonin as a sleep aid, but I've heard also that it shouldn't be taken with certain meds and for lengthy periods of time, so I hesitate to recommend this. Your mom should probably speak with her doctor about this. Perhaps a glass of warm milk?
Deep breathing, relaxation, prayer, meditation, white noise (a fan in the background) and sounds of nature (cd's of waves crashing and waterfalls) can also contribute to a relaxed state and a restful sleep environment. It's important that your mom be able to relax, as pain causes stress and stress increases pain ... I know, it's so hard, and my heart aches for her.
If your mom is able, a good long soak in a hot bath would do wonders, but 9 years into her disease this may no longer be a possibility. I know I can't sink into a tub, and oh, how I wish.
Maybe your mother would appreciate a gentle massage from her very caring daughter. That or a hug would do wonders.
Hope I was able to help in some small way, and only the best to both of you.
Question: Is there any old fashion recipes out there that Grandma or Great Grandma use to make for Arthritis pain? Is their any family recipes out their that Grandma or cousin Fred use to use to releive arthritis pain. Or the family recipe that no one hasn't tried it has been sitting in the cupboard ,attic, basement or under the bed that you have forgotten about. Truly appreciated Thankyou
Answer: Put raisins in a large bowl and cover with gin. Let sit until gin evaporates. This takes about 7 days. Once the gin is gone, put the raisins in a jar and cover. Every morning, eat 9 raisins--exactly 9--not 8 or 10, but 9! It may take about a month before effect becomes noticeable. Question: Any good over the counter medication for arthritis pain? I have very bad arthritis pain and my doctor just told me to take advil. It's not doing much for my pain. Anything else better out there? Thanks.
Answer: Have you tried Aleve? I find that I have to rotate OTC medications - take Motrin for a few weeks, switch to Aleve, switch to Advil. They seem to not be as effective with continuous use. I use the extra strength formulas. Also if your pain is constant you need to be taking something on a regular schedule. As my doctor said - you get better relief if you stay ahead of the pain rather than chasing it.
Question: is there a way to relieve arthritis pain? im 15 and i broke 12 bones. when the weather gets bad, my arthritis kiks in. it hurts really bad in my back and legs. does anyone know how to relieve the pain?
Answer: Believe me, if I knew the answer I would tell you. Arthritis is an extremely painful thing. Its pain is beyond description. My suggestion is to have your doctor give you an adequate painkiller for this problem. Now, the doctor may have to try more than one medicine before he custom fits you with the pain reliever that best fits you. I wish you continued success in your efforts. Peace!
Question: Can arthritis pain ever come under control? my mother has arthritis and we have tried couple of things to cure her from the arthritis pain but nothing helps in the long run. Can anyone list down good sites or any other information that can help her cure the arthritis pain for life?
Answer: You don't mention which kind of arthritis she has (there are about 100 kinds of arthritis!) but for the purposes of answering your question I'll assume that she has osteoarthritis (OA), one of the most common types. You also don't say which joint(s) are affected. There is no cure for OA.
However there are things that can give some measure of temporary relief to OA patients. Conservative measures include exercise and/or physical therapy, non-steroidal drugs (NSAIDS), cortisone injections, use of a walking aid such as a cane for hip and knee OA. Hyaluronic treatments can work for some with knee OA. The final treatment for those with advanced OA in the hip, knee, or shoulder involves surgery in the form of replacement of the joint. This is as close to a "cure" as medical science has achieved.
I had severe OA in my hips. I tried some of the conservative measures for several years and I was able to put off the surgery for a year or so but eventually I had both hips replaced. I now can walk with no limp, no pain, need no cane, and take no meds. I have my life back and I am, for all practical purposes, "cured" of OA in the hip joint. I also have OA in my thumb joint and a knee but so far they don't bother me too much and I can still do normal activities with no pain.

Question: Why would my doctor tell me to take tylenol arthritis Pain when I have tendinitis in my feet? Is tylenol arthritis an anti inflammatory? He told me to take it 3 times a day. I only get pain whenever I walk but isn't it a good thing to know that I'm in pain instead of using a painkiller so I know when I should rest my feet?
(I'm getting special insoles in around 6 days)
He already gave me an anti inflammatory (it ran out yesterday). (He knows that I ran out as well)
Answer: Tylenol Arthritis isn't any different from regular Tylenol in terms of ingredients, the only real difference is in dosage.
Tylenol is a pain reliever and fever reducer but NOT an anti-inflammatory.
