Baby

Question: Baby!?!?!?!? I have a few questions... 1. I am pregnant with a baby girl and I already have one nine month old girl named sophia, but when i have the new baby, do you think sophie will feel left out?? How can I make this not happen? 2. What should I name the new coming baby? I was thinking maybe Caroline Grace or Ella Lynn. Any ideas?? 3. Can I have sex while pregnant? How? 4. at what age should I stop breast feeding my baby? 5.What age should I start potty training them? Thankyou so much everyone!!

Answer: 1. It's possible for her to feel left out because she is the oldest, but she's not that old, so she make take to the transition better. Just try to get her involved as much as you can. Talk to her a lot about being a big sister, how cool it will be, how much her little sister will look up to her and want to play with her, and things that will just make her feel good about her new role. 2. I like Ella Grace :x 3. You can absolutely have sex while you are pregnant! During the first few months it should be just the same as having sex while you weren't pregnant. Sometimes later on females feel more comfortable having sex doggy style. Also, be sure to expect in the 7 month + range for the baby to kick after you have sex. Face that now so your not "weirded" out by it when it happens. Don't ever worry about it hurting your baby however, it's not something that hurts, even later on the sack protects it! 4. Breast feeding is something you should stop when your most comfortable. Some suggest around a year, some... depending on your level of "weirdness" suggest to do it until 3-5... because of mother child bonding... and yeah that's a you thing. :) You can however, feed two babies at once if you want, don't worry about that being a problem. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/family/wic/Links/nutrition_and_breastfeeding/nutrition_and_breastfeeding-english.html There are some more pamphlets about breastfeeding that may help!. 5. Potty training really depends on the child. If your child starts to get excited by the idea or show interest, start them, even if it seems a bit early. They don't have to do an over night transistion to using the diaper alone, to going to the potty by themselves all at once. Most children work best with a diaper/big kid undies on just in case, but to let you know when they need to go, to wearing a diaper only at night, to being fully functional little "poop machines". :) Also, there are other things you can do once they get a bit older.. for instance.. around 3-4 they probably really need to be potty trained, because of starting preschool/head start, if they haven't been "trained" yet. You can do things like hole "potty parties" and things of that nature. http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/children/parents/toilet/179.html There is a website that answers your question, plus some more you may be having and there is a book. "Potty training in a day" or so out there, that even if you don't do it that fast, could give you some tips. Good luck!
