Sunscreen Protection
Question: Is there a facial moisturizer that includes sunscreen, wrinkle and pimple protection? And does it work? I am looking for a facial moisturizer on the market that includes:
1) Sunscreen
2) Wrinkle reducer or protection
3) Acne reducer or protection
Rather than purchasing multiple products, I want a single moisturizer. And does it work?
Answer: ARBONNE www.arbonne.com
1) Sunscreen- Anti-Aging BeforeSun
2) Wrinkle Reducer- Anti-Aging NutriminC RE9 system
3) Acne-Clear Advantage system
I use all of these products, and I have felt more confident in my skin from using Arbonne.
I would suggest the Ant-Aging NutriminC RE9 Day Creme.
In order to purchase Arbonne's products, you need to go through a consultant.
Question: what percentage of titanium dioxide does one need for UVA protection in sunscreen? I read an article that says "Experts say the best protection against UVA is a sunscreen that includes zinc oxide, titanium dioxide or avobenzone." so I'm asking what percentage of these ingrediants does the sunscreen need? I'm also assuming that more of it is better...but how much is good enough?
Answer: i never use over a 5 spf
Question: Is there a UVA only sunscreen without UVB protection? UVA rays are the ones that age and UVB are the ones that burn. Hypothetically this would mean that a sunscreen with only UVA protection would prevent aging from UVA rays while allowing you to tan with UVB rays.
Answer: lol
Question: Skincare experts: does layering sunscreen provide extra protection? I really want to protect my skin this summer. If I use several products that contain sunscreen, does this provide extra protection? For example, if I use an anti-aging serum with SPF 25, then a moisturizer with SPF 15, then a tinted moisturizer with SPF 20, does this add extra protection or am I just wasting my money?
Answer: You're pretty much wasting your money, it's not providing you with any extra protection. Sunscreen pretty much wears out after a while (which is why you need to re-apply it if you plan on being out in the sun too much/too long). So no matter how much you wear, it's still going to wear out and eventually weaken.
Question: why is there no sunscreen with high protection of uva rays but not uvb? because uva cause aging ( wrinkles + i think sun spots)
and uvb is the one that gets you tan or "skin cancer"
but if it has some protection against these rays im not worried..
it would be so much better to be highly protected against aging rays b/c those have no benefits like the tanning uvb rays.
so why is there no sunscreen with like an spf 70 against uva rays and like an 8 against uvb
Answer: UVA has no effect unless UVB has stimulates melanin cells in yuor skin.
UVB is the burning ray so we should fear this the most! This is what mutates our DNA cells and causes premature aging, melanoma, sun spots, etc etc. Once the melanin cells have been stimulated by the UVB light the UVA is able to turn the active melanin brown.
UVA travels deeper into the skin but cant absorb into the cells unless the UVB has stimulated the melanin. Therefore UVA takes up to 10x longer to burn you with just the heat intensity. Without the activated melanin cells it doesnt absorb into the cells.
Therefore if your recieving no UVB then UVA is useless so you have to have protection for B in order to have protection for A.
Question: How much protection does sunscreen give and what can I do to tan safely? Can it give complete protection if it has a high enough SPF? How can I tan safely
Answer: The amount of protection it gives is printed right on the bottle, the SPF factor.
If it gave complete protection, you would not tan at all. There is no safe level of tanning. None. Zilch.
I see older women who used to tan all of the time. Their skin looks like old shoe leather.
Question: Im pretty white, if i use a low UV protection sunscreen will I tan? Or will I just burn? Is the tan spray a better alternitive?
Answer: i would go tanning in a tanning bed start off slow and then work your way up. thats what i did i go every other day and i have a tan
Question: Is applying too much sunscreen(protection cream) harmful for you? If you keep putting it on every 5 minutes..
Answer: No it's not harmful, unless you've got that mush on and it's dripping off you onto the floor and you slip on the excess.
Question: clarins sunscreen cream high protection? I have a question. Is clarins' sunscreen cream high protection spf 30 used for face or body. It doesn't say. and i've been using it on my face but recently i heard that its for body. and now i am really confused.
Answer: i doubt it would matter really, unless it's making you break out or something i think it's okay to use it on your face even if it is for your body. look on the bottle on the back under directions, it'll normally say back there if it doesn't say on the front.
Question: What sunscreen offers the most protection near the equator? I am going backpacking in Costa Rica in a couple of weeks. I am extremely fair and burn in the sun we have here in Wisconsin! This will be my first exposure to the sun after a long winter, and I want to MAKE SURE I am super protected so I don't burn. I know I need to get a high SPF, but I'm wondering if anyone out there can recommend a great sunscreen brand that will work very well, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Answer: You should get a sunscreen with both a high UVA and UVB rating, that is a 4 star rating for UVA and 60+SPF for UVB. It should be applied frequently to all exposed areas and generously. One of the very best sunscreems is Ombrelle by L'Oreal...it is top quality. Neutrogena also makes a good sunscreen and less expensive. Hawaiian Tropic claims to have the highest spf protection. But if you want to ensure you get the best protection I would stick with the Ombrelle product line.
You also could use a combination of zinc oxide and titanium dioxideif you are allergic to sunscreen preparations. In addition there are now clothes and hats being sold which give some sunscreen protection...short and long sleeve shirts/blouses and slacks, jackets etc.
Good Luck
Question: Sunscreen Protection for Hair? My stylist recommended Rusk Being smooth..and i was reading what it does on the internet, and it said something about "sunscreen protection" what does that mean?
oh ic..will that product also help protect my hair from getting heat damage?
Answer: The sun & UV rays make your hair go dry. Sunscreen protection would stop this from happening, helping your hair stay smooth.
Question: What is the best non oily sunscreen that provised complete protection from the sun? My skin gets really pigmented in the sun...i heard that Olay complete protection is a good one...but is it useful for oily skin?

Question: What Sun protection value of sunscreen should I use? I'm extremely pale, or "type I" skin tone variability.
What SPF of sunscreen should I use?
Answer: depends, when are you going out, how long will you be out, will you have the option of shade?
It's usually best to go with the strongest, and waterproof. Sunscreen comes as high as 90 nowadays, but anything over 30 is goood.
Question: How high should my sunscreen screen protection be for when i go..? to paris, in the summer.

Question: If I mix my foundation with sunscreen, will it give me sunscreen protection when I wear makeup?
Answer: That might mess with the color of the makeup.
You could easily put on the sunscreen before you apply the foundation and still get sun protection.
Question: Does spending more money for ur sunscreen give you more protection? Im doing a science project and my partner and I are looking for different oinions and surveys on; if the price of suncreen determins the protection it gives to your skin.
Answer: There is no distinct difference between brands/ prices of sunscreen and protection. All that matters is the SPF number. Take note, however, that an SPF of more than 48 offers very little extra protection. 48 is about the highest level of protection you can get. Also, if you plan to be active while you're wearing sunscreen, it is advisable to purchase a "sport" or "waterproof" type of lotion, which may be slightly more expensive. If you want to get really fancy, there are some kinds of sunscreen that contain zinc oxide. These are the kinds that don't rub in, so you have a big white spot wherever you apply it. These kinds of sunscreen ("bullfrog" is a good brand) have different protection characteristics from regular "rub-in" sunscreens in that they will keep you from getting a sunburn all day, but their melanoma-preventative qualities may vary.
