Air
Question: air ??????? does anyone know how many episodes of the anime air is? thanks
Answer: + 13 ep.
+ 1 movie
+ 1 special ep. (Air In Summer)
Question: What type of air movement should you expect under those conditions? Conditions: If you are sitting on a beach on a warm summer day, you might see the bright sunlight striking the beach and the ocean near the shore. What type of air movement should you expect under those conditions?
A. cooler air blowing from the ocean and pushing warm air over land and upward.
B. movement back and forth equally between land and ocean.
C. movement of air from the land out over the ocean.
D. warmer air blowing from the ocean and pushing cool air over the land and upward.
Answer: The air over the ocean will be cooler and gaining mass since water is evaporating into it, so you will have a cool breeze heading into the land from the ocean, pushing the warmer air upward and perhaps causing precipitation.
Question: How do hot - air balloons work? Which of these explanations are correct:
1.The balloon acts like a green house, letting the heat from the sun warm the air inside.
2.The burner heats the air inside and the particles move apart , so the air inside is less dense than the cold air outside.
3.The burner heats the balloon fabric which expands, making the volume inside bigger so the air inside is less dense.
4.The air outside gets cooler in the evening, so the balloon rises up.
Can u just tell me the number?
Answer: No.2. The air inside gets hotter, so it rises, and takes the basket along with the balloon. Up and away!
Question: the difference between air conditioning and air conditioner? Could you please tell me the difference between air conditioning and air conditioner?
I knew that we can say that "this car comes with an air conditioning" .
How about the following sentence:
Does your apartment has an air conditioning /conditioner?
Does this building has an central air conditioning system?
Answer: As others have said, an air conditioner is the machine, air conditioning is the result. Note that the machine is an object, therefore countable--you need "an". "Air conditioning" is intangible, therefore non-countable--no "an".
>>I knew that we can say that "this car comes with an air conditioning" .
You would say just "comes with air conditioning" or "an air conditioning system".
>>Does your apartment has an air conditioning /conditioner?
(With a question using "do", don't conjugate the main verb)
You can say "Does your apartment have air conditioning?" or "Does your apartment have an air conditioner?"
>>Does this building has an central air conditioning system?
Again, "have" not "has", and it's "a" rather than "an" ("an" only goes right before a vowel sound), but otherwise perfect. "System" is countable.
Question: What is a makeup air filter inside the normal air filter that I am supposed to replace? I drive an '04 Dodge SRT-4. In the manual under maintenance schedules it says both to replace the engine air cleaner filter and it also says to "Inspect and replace, if required, the the make-up air filter (located inside the air cleaner)"
What is the Make-up air filter? I replaced the main air filter and looked inside of it but there was no other filter inside of it.
Answer: YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIP WITH THIS TYPE OF AIR FILTER.
Question: What happens if air is injected into the body? I inject vaccine into my dad's upper arm daily. My dad is a terminal lung and kidney cancer patient. Yesterday, he had an emergency because of shortness of breath. Usually he could breathe normally without the oxygen supply for about 5 minutes. Now, he feels exhausted without the supply even if it's for a short while.
Is it possibly because I injected some air when I injected the vaccine? I know that there's usually a bit of air in the syringe when I draw out the vaccine from its bottle. I would stop injecting right before the bubble enters.
Does the air still enter although I stop before right before the bubble enters?
How to avoid injecting air into the body?
And what ARE the effects of air being injected?
I inject right under his skin on his upper arm.
Answer: First of all an air bubble will not kill you. It would need to be injected directly into an artery or vein. The best way to avoid air in the syringe is to first pull the plunger back to the amount of medicine you are going to withdraw. Then put the needle into the med bottle, push the plunger in to put the air in the med bottle. This will displace the med you are going to draw out, making it easier to get the correct amount of medicine into the syringe. This will keep you from getting too much air in the syringe. A tiny bit of air is needed to "seal" the medicine in when you give an intramuscular injection. As you inject the medicine, the tiny air pocket will go in last. Hope this helps.
Question: How is a portable air conditioner able to function differently from a regular air conditioner? Regular air conditioners are mounted in a window and bring cool air in while pushing hot air out. Portable air conditioners can be placed anywhere inside the house. Don't they need to push hot air out? How is this possible?
Answer: Portable units still need to exhaust the heat from the room. This is done generally via a window or other wall opening.
The link below shows some portable units. Click on them and read the description and you will see that some have mulitple venting options.
Question: My air conditioner is blowing what seems to be cold air, but the house is not getting cold, why? The air conditioner in my home seems to be blowing cold air, it feels cold anyway. But our thermometer doesn't get below 80 or higher. I checked the filter and replaced it but that does not do anything. Can anyone clue me in on anything?
Answer: 100% Something wrong with the compresser
Question: Why does my central air in my house only blow cold air for about an hour? When I turn on my central air, I am only getting cold air weakly through the vents for about any hour. After that, you cannot feel the air even though the air conditioning unit is still running. What causes this?
I ran it last night and looked at the coils once the air stopped coming through the vents and they had frost on them. I couldn't tell if there was something blocking the air flow, so does this mean I am low on freon?
Answer: It sounds like the coil is freezing up, caused by extremely dirty coils, a freon leak, or some sort of air flow restriction.. Here is a couple links for homeowner maintenance

Question: will the air circulate better in a room if you open some windows at the top and others at the bottom? I'm trying to get better air circulation in my house to cut down on running the air conditioner. I recently opened one window in my bed room at the top instead of opening all at the bottom and seem to have better and more air circulation. is this true or is it just that these days happened to have more air flow than the days all windows were opened at the bottom?
These are all such good answers, I hate to pick just one. Thank you all very much.
Answer: well it creates crossdrafts that make it feel as if there are more breezes. also open the window only slightly. because of how close air molecules are when its hotter, when it comes through the window it has more room to spread out, therefore making the air inside much cooler. also hot air rises as cold air sinks so if it is really hot outside and you want it to be cooler, try opening up a window downstairs and keeping one upstairs only slightly open
Question: What would cause the air conditioning to be permanently on in a focus? What would cause the air conditioning to be permanently on in a ford focus?
Even though the air con is switched off, very cold air is comming out the air vents when it should just be cool air from outside (unheated).
I switched it on and off and it seems to have stayed off this time but there must have been something causing it to remain on. (using a lot more fuel)
Answer: Is the switch broke, does it feel "right" If it does, you have a wiring problem. If you want to cut it off temp, there is a two wire connecter on the dryer, that is the thermos looking thing under the hood. you can take that loose and PROBABLY shut it off. Good Luck
Question: Do air flow induction kits for cars really make a difference? Is it worth changing them? I am due for a service so will be changing my air filter as part of the service. The air filter is the standard audi a3 air filter. Someone suggested getting a K&N Induction kit or a pipercross induction kit but are they really worth it?
Do they actually make a difference to the cars performance?
Got a full performance exhaust fitted. Scorpian system and new cat.
Answer: The trouble with induction kits is they are great on the race track but for normal driving they suck hot air from under the bonnet, especially when stuck in traffic.
I had trouble with a bit of pinking with one of my cars, and was told by a tune up engineer that i would be far better of with something like a K&N replacement panel filter, as it utilizes the cars original induction system which after the millions of pounds of development they have invested would be more than fine.
Unless you do high revving driving all over the place a replacement panel filter will do just the job, you just would not really notice the difference between them. And by the way i have spent more money on this stuff than i care to think of.
Question: What air-cleaning plants are good for inside a windowless office? I work in an office with no windows but natural lightbulbs. The air is somewhat polluted--we have to use an air filter but I still sneeze a lot. I'm thinking that plants could help clean up the air, but I don't know much about indoor plants. I tried one once but it didn't do so well. Any recommendations?
Answer: try any plant that can grow on water like dracaena, fortune plant. Plants need sunlight and as a replacement, place them just below the light bulbs.
Question: Is freight shipped on certified air carriers? I'm looking at some statistics for air freight traffic and air traffic is differentiated into general aviation and certified route air carriers. I was wondering whether most air freight is shipped using certified route air carriers, or whether a significant portion is shipped using general aviation. (I'm trying to determine fuel efficiency for air freight, so any info on that would be helpful too.)
Thanks for the answer--would UPS or FedEx be considered a certified carrier as well?
Answer: I am not exactly clear on what you mean by a certified route air carrier, but as to fuel efficiency, or overall efficiency there are several things going on behind the scenes. You are already aware of the major carriers of parcels (FedEx,UPS) then there were Airborne Express, DHL, Purolator,Burlington, etc... these were actual companies with their own leased/purchased aircraft that flew their own routes etc. There were smaller companies such as Emery or Fine Air that would work under another companies FAA approved certificate and have their crews provided by someone else (Rosenbalm). You see this a lot in freight heavy areas such as around Miami where material comes into the country and is dispersed from that point. Then there are freight forwarders that work simply off of discounted rate from the main carriers themselves.
PILOT Airfreight for example, would contract to ship so much per month/quarter/year... whatever... and they would in turn get a discount from the carrier...so the little leased van would drive out to your place and pickup your boxes, and then take them to the UPS terminal where they would be shipped to a holding point and a Pilot van there would go get it and deliver it. By doing this, the main carriers keep their airplanes full (because discounted freight would be bumped in favor of full price freight) and while not as profitable as carrying through their mainline, they helped defer costs which is what it is all about in this business.
The freight business is extremely competitive, and contracts come and go with the wind. Not delivering on time, or misconnecting freight, shipping to the wrong city, or worst of all, losing the freight... and I have seen contracts change twice in 10 days. Pilots are required to fly in conditions that push the limits of the rules, and quite commonly push well past the limits, but when they said "It has to be there positively" it means that you know the law of averages is going to put you in a bad position eventually. The smaller the company, the more dependent it becomes on keeping a customer happy, as the loss of a single contract could be enough to close down the whole operation.
Your question about significant amount shipped using general aviation, I take that to mean Part 135 operators which fly non-scheduled (charter) trips as needed. Significant amounts... as in tons, no.. they can't begin to compete with the large carriers, but they provide for a niche market the "hot shot" trips that are vital to industry. This applies often with the auto industry and you will see parts moved from Mexico thru the USA to Canada for assembly lines that must be kept running. Sometimes it is the size of the door of the airplane that can accomodate certain objects that will determine the company that can provide the service. Still there are companies that operate large turboprop aircraft such as ZANTOP that move large amounts of freight each week but are in a more selective market (auto parts) than the main carriers.
Freight and mail is also moved on commerical passenger flights, but their rates are usually higher than dedicated freighters, but it is a method of getting things moved. You can even send something "counter to counter" on the airlines (or could previously may not be allowed now) but the cost was extremely high.
Question: a/c air handler is making a loud now when running. Can below in air handler be malfunctioning? My a/c air handler is very loud when a/c is running. I've also noticed the blower or fan within the air handler is very dirty, looks like mildew or mold on fan blades. I have mildew shooting out a/c vents thru out the house. Can a blower be replaced separately within the air handler?
Answer: If there is a lot of debris collected on the blower wheel it could have it out of balance causing a vibration. If removed from the unit it can be washed off with a garden hose.
Question: What is the best way to circulate air from a window air conditioner to multiple rooms in the house? I have a window air conditioner (8000btu) which does a great job of cooling my living room, unfortunately, the cooler air stays in just the living room, so the bedroom is still hot. I have 2 fans to help move the air. I also have a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but, it seems the bedroom is always FAR warmer than the living room. I'm wondering the best way to position the fans to get maximum cooling effect in the bedroom.
The living room is essentially a square -- on one side of the square - in the middle - is the window with the AC.. oppisite the AC is the hallway which leads to the bedroom.
Would I be better off putting a fan at the entrance to the hallway blowing the air out of the living room, and down the hallway? or put it in the center of the living room, and blow the air towards the hallway? Or should I blow the hot air out of the bedroom, to the livingroom? Should I put the fans up high? or close to the ground? Should I turn off the ceiling fan in the bedroom?
Thanks.
Answer: Well, cold air falls and heat rises, so definately keep the fans on the floor. Place one fairly close to the air cond. on a chair and position toward the hall. Then put another one from the end of the hall pointed into your room. And I would put yet another in the doorway of your room pointed to the bed. Nix the fan in the bedroom window, it's too hot and it will only let out the cool air from your a/c. :)
