Colic Calm
Question: Colic Calm? Hi, has anyone used colic calm, a homeopathic gripe water? I am in Canada and received colic calm, not sure if I should use it or not. My baby has trouble with gas.
Answer: Im in canada as well and when i had my kids i used the gripewater and it worked like a charm so if the colic calm is the new thing on the market and the doctor or pharmacist says its okay, why not try it
Question: Colic calm? Has anyone ever heard/gave this stuff to your babies? Its called colic calm and you can fing it on the web. It has a bunch of natural stuff in it.... Aloe, vegtable charcoal, caraway, chamomile, fennel, lemon balm, peppermint, blackthorn, and ginger. My baby had colic pretty bad. My mother in law got this stuff when he was about 2 months old. It seemed to work really good sometimes but not always. Hes now 3 1/2 months, and Ive read that they are supposed to out grow colic around 3 months. My husband and his parents seem to want to give it to him at any sign of fussiness. And also at bedtime no matter what his mood is. I think being fussy is just part of being a baby sometimes and dont like to give it to him unless he is really in pain. I have this feeling that he will get dependent on it and his body wont learn how to funcion on its own. Am I being peroniod?
Answer: i'm so with you giving it too him all the time is not good herbal or not i would take it and throw it in the garbage ... remeber your the mom and do what you think needs to be done not what your mother in law or husband says. follow your instincts they are usallly right.
Question: Does anyone know anything about Colic Calm Gripe Water?Does it work well 4 gas for a 2m old and is it safe? Does anyone know anything about Colic Calm Gripe Water?Does it work well 4 gas for a 2m old and is it safe?
also does anyone know where to buy is that is not on line?
Answer: I have used Gripe water for my daughter when she was about 8 weeks old till about 6 months old. It did help with gas, fussiness and colic. The gripe water was my best friend when my daughter was small lol. Yes it's safe my doctor recommends it all the time. Believe it or not my doctor also said (if you formula feed) when you mix the formula and water together in the bottle, you can even squirt a little gripe water in it to dissolve the air bubbles, so your baby wont get gassy. It works great. You can purchase it from Target, Babies r us, and other pharmacies. Lots of luck.
Question: Has anyone used Colic Calm? Is it safe and does it work? I have a 4 week old little boy who has problems with gas. We've changed my diet, along with the supplemental formula, and tried Mylicon; all with less than satisfactory results. My dad found the website for Colic Calm and ordered some for us, but I was curious if anyone had any experience with it. Any help would be awesome... Thanx!
Answer: I've never used that one. I use Baby's Bliss and that's awesome. You can go to the website and see what local stores have it, or you can order it through luckyvitamin.com. It's a good website and it is a little cheaper than store price, even with the shipping!
Good luck, colicky babies are hard work but they pull through!!
Question: Has anyone used Colic Calm gripe water? I have used gripe water to calm my baby's upset stomach before. But I just ordered Colic Calm gripe water offline because my son has painful reflux and this is said to help it. My son was prescribed Zantac, but I don't feel right about putting him on a medication this young; I wanted something natural.
Has anyone used Colic Calm for their baby's REFLUX not colic?
Answer: I used colic calm and it did work for him. He had a little bit of reflux but bad colic's and it would make him feel better like in about 15min. Remember not every baby is the same and the good things about it is that its natural, refundable. I know its expensive but if it works its worth it. I would buy a bottle every two weeks until my baby was 4.5 months, so give it a try.
Question: just wondering if anyone has used colic calm for their infant and if it works?
it is suppose to be 100% natural so that is why i thought i would try it. it is all herbal and suppose to help with gas and reflux which is more for why i want to try it.
Answer: I bought it and have only used it once. My daughter does not have colic, but I thought it would help with gas. She hasn't had any problems since we used it.
Question: Is anyone familiar with colic calm? When is it use? Can i put it in a bottle? By itself on an empty stomach? I just recieved this type of gripe water. (all natural)When i gave it to my son he spit it up along with his bottle that he had just drank. There was milk everywhere. (did i use it wrong?) I asked my pediatrician about colic calm and she knew nothing. All she said was that its homeopathic and shes not familiar with that. I have a son that has colic..Ive never had to deal with this.. Ive put him on the washing machine and thats about the only thing that works. Along with the new formula(nutramigen) hes taking now. I just have trouble sleeping. He falls asleep in my arms and when i go to lay him down he wakes up 10 mins. later. Does anyone have any sugestions.... Im loosing a lot of sleep.. I get about 2-3 hrs a night. and with a 2 yr old, thats not good...I need to be alert for my 2yr old also... any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..

Answer: I dont know about the colic calm but my son had colic too..and my god...I know what you're going through. You pretty much have to wait it out. I say i dont know about it because my son pretty much did the same thing yours did. I got the same stuff and my doctor said it was a waste of time...and that i would have to wait it out..and i did. you can do it..just hang in there and stay calm!
Question: Has anyone tried Colic Calm gripe water? I want to try it since my baby seems VERY gassy/fussy, and Mylicon/Ovol/regular gripe water, doesn't seem to help much. and the Colic Calm is BLACK, and FDA approved, its homeopathic.
Answer: For the fussiness, I tried Camilia (chamomile and water drops), helps baby calm down. For gassiness and/or constipation I gave baby anise tea and I drank it myself to give through my milk. I got the details from www.mommynuggets.com type "anise tea" in the search for info on that and "teething" for the Camilia.
Good luck!

You may also want to ask your doctor about probiotics. Here's an article about a study done with them and the vast majority of babies with colic were remarkably better after a month. http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/news/ng.asp?n=73215-biogaia-probiotic-reuteri-colic
Question: Which gripe water works better ~ Baby's Bliss or Colic Calm? Colic calm is twice as expensive and I don't want to have to buy it all the time if Baby's Bliss works fine. Have you tried both? Which one would you recommend?
My baby doesn't have colic - but has really bad gas.
Answer: They're all the same. I paid $7 for Shopper's Drug Mart Life brand. It worked just as good as the brand name ones.

Question: who has used colic calm? does it work? I have a 6week old breastfed baby who suffers from gas. Lots of gas and sometimes it effects his eating. Have you used colic calm and if so how does it work? do they sell it at whole foods or just online?
Answer: Milacon does nothing for my 3 month old, I found Gripe water and it works like a charm. It's all natural and can be given to babies that age, works like a charm. Being breastfed your baby shouldnt have colic but trust me it happens, my 3 month old is strictly breast and he had colic for 2 months till i found gripe water, Good Luck
Question: Anyone know how to give a baby colic calm? It is colored black? and stains everything if I try to use the syringe it comes with. I also bought the Numi pacifier from them to use but it broke after the first use.
Answer: Be careful it will stain. DO NOT GIVE YOUR PRECIOUS CHILD COKE, I use coke to clean leaking batteries acid off my car batteries. I would not use the syringe included with the colic calm as it sucks. pick one up from store and place between cheeks and gums. Good luck.
Question: Does Colic Calm or Gripe Water Work? My little two month old has been crying for 3 hours off and on today. He does this a lot. He's not sick. I think it's gas or colic. I am at my whits end. I looked up infant gas and found gripe water and colic calm. I want to try them but don't want to waste my money. Do they work? Any other suggestions? I have tried everything!
Answer: I HIGHLY suggest gripe water... when i used it for my son it worked like a charm.if they have gas as soon as you give it to them you can hear it working, it sounds like bubbles. and then all their gas comes out gradually. I LOVE gripe water.. i just started giving it to my son again and it really does the trick.
Good luck!
Hope this helps
Also Ovol drops i heard work really well. You can pick them up at walmart.

Question: Does anyone know where I can purchase "Colic Calm" for my colicky baby? I cannot find where it is sold in stores.
Answer: I have found colic calm at my local natural foods store. However, if you don't have one or if it isn't offered there you can purchase it on their website: www.coliccalm.com
Good luck...I know how hard colic can be!!
Edit: Baby's Bliss Gripe Water works well too
Question: Has anyone ever used "Colic Calm" before? I was wondering if any of the parents out there have you used Colic Calm for their babies? If you did, did it work poor, fair or really well?
Answer: I used it, and honestly think it helped. Maybe it made me feel better, because I was actually trying something, but I really think it helped a little. Try it. The worst that will happen is it won't, so you don't buy it again. Just make sure it's all natural ingredients, and doesn't contain any alcohol.
Hope things work out for you. Been there, done that, and it was no fun, but it does get better, I PROMISE!
