Question: any ways to detox your body without pills or drinks? I have been reading all the ways to detox your body on the internet thru pills and drinks. I was wondering if there were ways out there to do it naturally without taking anything. I would do something like the acai berry products but they all require a credit card to get them even if you just pay shipping and handling, I dont have a credit card so that way is out. Any suggestions other than ask a friend to use their credit card.
Answer: Hi Lisa, I have tried a couple of ways in the past. You can do steamed vegies and boiled brown rice for 5 days only. Drinking water as well of course. And that is it for 5 days, no longer apparently it can be bad for you if you extend the time. 5 days for any detox is the max. Another suggestion is to cut out all processed foods, starches like potatoes, all bread, no spices or salt and pepper and you can do this gradually as well, for example, the first week or every couple of days you can cut out a section of food. For example cheeses and dairy, then the next week can be starches... this is guaranteed to wipe off the kilos. Just remember to drink lots of water. A few guys a know have done a detox from blessedherbs.com and they have raved about it. You do need a credit card for that one though.
Good luck with it all, and whenever you feel thats it's getting hard, just think, it only 5 days out of your whole life!

Question: Is there a homemade way to detox your body overnight or in a short amount of time? I was wondering if there is a way to detox your body overnight that you could make with household items
Answer: There is a method of detoxing the colon that has worked for centuries and was used extensively by many ancient healers. To detox the body, you need to be more specific about what organs, etc. Detoxing is a very good way of relieving the toxic build up that happens in our modern society. The method is called the SALT FLUSH. I have personally experienced this and it is quite effective. I recommend this to people getting a liver/gallbladder flush to free the colon of toxins prior to the dumping of gallbladder stones from the gallbladder and intrahepatic gallstones from the liver. This takes typically 1 to 2 hours. Make a solution of 2 teaspoons of AIR DRIED SEA SALT, not typical table salt in 1 quart of distilled water. Drink it down first thing in the morning. Then lie on your RIGHT side in bed for about 1/2 hour. You will hear some gurgling sounds, but not to worry, it's just working its magic. Then get up and go about your business, but stay close to a toilet.
Sorry "GARY" but no one is selling any products here except some very inexpensive salt they will buy at the health food store. Additionally, GARY, you really should investigate the John's Hopkins Research group that discusses intrahepatic gallstones of the liver and how to detox those. I have several patients that have had incredible success in getting those stones and gallbladder stones out of their bodies with olive oil and grapefruit juice along with herbs to prepare the body for the detox of these stones. And yes, the gallbladder and liver functions improved greatly to solve some of their health problems. You do need to free yourself from the lies you believe.
EDIT: "GARY" Boy are you wrong this time and only showing either your impossible agenda or complete ignorance. So, John Hopkin's Researchers are wrong now? The jars of stones that measure up to 1" or more that come out of patients doing the flush is wrong and not there? I'd like to have these people do what they do with their doctors that agree with you and show you the stones and then listen to the amazement of doctors that see these things. Hundreds of stones that come out of gallbladders and livers are more than proof. To see the radiance of patient's skin and to see them not have ANY MORE GALLBLADDER ATTACKS after a series of these flushes is more than proof you are wrong!
The salt flush causes high blood pressure? Show me ONE study that says salt causes high blood pressure. Then show me ANY study that says a salt flush causes high sodium content in a body. You can't. You really need to get a life and stop making stupid statements and making this feeble attempt to validate your beliefs as if they are science backed. Question: Will walking outside barefoot help detox your body? I was watching this add on T.V about detox foot pads. At first I thought it was ridiculous until I started learning about chakra energies. It would make sense that if you always wear socks,...and always wear shoes that your body toxins don't really have anywhere to escape to except in your socks or shoes. Answer: Those patches you saw on tv are fakes. They contain a certain amount of black tea so that when your feet sweat a dark patch appears on the pad. It's a scam. (try it at home -- take a tea bag (black tea or Earl Grey, for example) and wet it, then let it sit for a few minutes and you will see the dark brown spots)
I don't know about detoxing, but certainly walking barefoot would stimulate your senses (based on reflexology); plus it's natural and healthy, not to mention fun.

Answer: I don't know if detoxing your body will help you achieve your dieting goals, but cranberry juice is a good detoxer. Are you exercising as well? One of the key components to losing weight is using more calories than you consume, so that your body has to take the extra needed calories (your body's energy source) from your fat cells. So my suggestion is just eat low calorie food, and exercise a lot. Ride a bike or walk to school or work instead of drive. Go for a jog instead of watch TV. Or find something you enjoy doing that is physically active, for me it is playing sports..
sex is a good (and fun!) form of exercise as well, there is even something called sexercise where you purposely do difficult positions and other things like that to make your sex more of a workout. Look it up.
Also, don't expect to lose 20 pounds instantly. Losing weight in a healthy manner is a slow process. If you lose 2 pounds a week your doing darn good! Make a plan and stick to it, you can do it!

Answer: I went on a 10 day fast once where I just drank milk. I was experimenting, and chose milk because it still has some protein and calcium, and is not all sugar like fruit juice. Because I did not want to starve myself, I figured I would allow my self to drink as much milk as I wanted, and supplement it with a multi-vitamin.
It was difficult, but I never felt hungry, or tired for lack of food. I exorcised some, but nothing special. After the 10 days of strict fasting, my metabolism reset, I had much more energy, felt far less junk food cravings... before the fast I drank a lot of coffee, and had aquired a sort of immunity to the effects of caffine... but that was reset too. (Not sure why, but it was nice) So in the end... after a little exocise in will power, I felt much healthier... and lost some weight in the process.

These are usually available in the organic foods section of many grocery stores, if not just in the tea aisle. They have a taste which is rather difficult to acquire... But, if you can make yourself drink a whole cup about an hour before lunch, and an hour before dinner, it helps a lot.
If you can't get used to the dandelion-root & chamomile flavour of the detox teas, any other kind of tea will serve a similar purpose, just not quite so completely.
Also, don't eat your biggest meal of the day at the end of it - have a big breakfast or lunch, but take it easy for dinner.
