Digestive Problem
Question: Digestive problem? I’ve had a digestive problem on and off for 2 years now......I eat my breakfast (Muesli) at 6:30 am, go poop at 8 am, and then go to school, but I still have problems. I have to go poop again! And it is getting really annoying. I tried changing breakfast but it doesn’t help. I’ve changed lunches and the exact same thing happens. Then at the end of school, my stomach hurts again. If it helps, I’m a vegetarian (for 2 years) and overcame bulimia (2 years ago too.)Any Advice?
Answer: If you are a vegetarian, then you are no doubt getting high amounts of fiber in your diet. Also, your breakfast cereal has high fiber in it. This is just causing you to be quite regular. It is healthy, and even normal to go up to 3 times a day. This is normal. Your body has an internal clock set now for you to expel waste and cleanse itself. This is something that many of us have a hard time achieving. You are fine, just let your body do its thing!
Question: digestive problem???? i'm a healthy 15 year old girl, i am active and eat healthy foods. for the last couple of weeks, there has been blood on my stool. sometimes, it's fine, sometimes there is just a little blood when i wipe, and sometimes its on my stool. since its summer time, i have been eating a lot of red foods(blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes), but i don't think that it has anything to do with this. is there any home remedies? what is causing this? when should i go to a doctor?
Answer: See a doctor now just to clear things up. If there are no problems then no worries. It's worth getting this checked out to clear any bowel cancers, IBS or ulcers.
Question: What digestive problem is this? Ok so brace yourself, this may be gross to some. I've suffered from digestive problems. When I eat it takes my food a while to digest, and I've been constipated, and diagnosed with reflux. However, there is this one problem that I have to which I can't figure out; At least once a month or ever two months, my stomach will suddenly begin to bloat up, and I'll begin to have sharp pains in my lower abdomen area, and it'll hurt all the way down to my vaginal area, or so it seems; I'll sweat and feel light headed, then the pain will lessen in my abdomen area and then I'll feel the pressure in my rectum and will have to go. While I am going..my Bm is runny, and at times it seems as if it's burning, sometimes i'll have to go twice because it's not all out. After all this is over I feel drained, and my tummy area feels sore. Would anyone happen to know what this is and any cure for it? Thanks!
Answer: Your condition suggests two things; You have a problem assimilating proteins.. the other is; you may have a prolapse of the transverse colon. Which will allow the blockage of fecal material as well as gas...The bloating is the result of a buildup of that gas .. When the colon is blown up like a balloon, it is highly sensitive to pain. It is quite a severe pain! Prolapse is often reduced just by assuming the knee/chest position..Allows gravity to allow it to move upward.
Perhaps you could aid the digestive process by including papaya fruit or pills.... as well as include some amino acid supplements. Pectin is also valuable for retaining fluids in the fecal material. Most fruits will contain this substance. Is why fruit is highly recommended as part of the proper dietary.
Question: I am suffering from digestive problems and severe gas trouble. What kind of diet will help solve this problem? I am 42 years and have irregular eating habils. I face a lot of tension at home.
Answer: Try this first and do follow up investigation.
You do need to reduce tension, by finding some workable solution (try and meet the thing half way give a little take a little), tension causes stomach acid and that is main reason for gas or other digestive problems. Yogurt has bacterial that can help. It can restore the balance to digestive system.
Eat about 4 OZ of full cultured home made yogurt (preferred) with break fast. Dannon (Activia)and Yo-Play in USA makes it and you can buy it too. Also eat this yogurt with every main meal for a week or more, see what happens. After eating main meals go for a walk or sit on a rocker and rock yourself see this motion helps the Digestive System.
Follow up investigation.
Find the foods that is causing gas in your case and avoid it. Keep a diary of what you eat and also keep a good record of the problems that you think it may have created as far as gas condition in the digestive system.
Question: Can a poor digestive problem (i.e. after food or types of food) cause achy, tired leg muscles? I've had a digestive problem for ages now ever since I got over Mono, but my legs just seem to want to buckle or have no energy getting up hills after I've eaten food. I also get bad anxiety. Can poor digestion make legs feel really knackered and achy?
Answer: It's not a question of poor digestive system.Your digestive system is okay.As you know at an average, every human being has about 5.5 liters of blood circulating in the body and about 80 percent of the supply is required by the brain for proper functioning. After eating food a lot of it is diverted towards stomach to facilitate digestion, hence one feels drowsy and want to relax a bit.It is more pronounced with some people and less with others as per their body constitution.Similarly less supply is available to the limbs also, hence the concept of business lunch which is lighter as compaired to when you are on a holiday, to remain active.Have you heard of sports persons performing after a full stomach meal.So next time when you go up hill, have only light refreshments and see the different yourself.
Question: Do you know what causes this digestive problem? When I eat pasta, the pasta sometimes seems to get stuck on the way down. It causes me to be very uncomfortable (somewhere between discomfort and pain).
It either works its way down by itself or I have to spit up kind of like a baby.
Any ideas what it could be? It doesn't happen everytime I eat pasta. About 1 in every 6 or 8 times. It has only happened one time with a meal other than pasta and that was quite some time ago.
Answer: sounds like gurd or acid reflux
Question: my husband had lettuce in his bowel 12 hours after eating it. Is that a bad digestive problem? He also gagged when brushing his teeth and threw up some lettuce. Could this be from irritable bowel syndrome or something worse.
Answer: Certain foods are high in insoluble fiber. That means it's impossible to digest them. t's normal. If it causes him any other problems, ie, diarrhea or pain then have him see a doc
Question: What are some signs you may have a digestive track problem? The reason I ask is I often have very red bowel movements and usually feel a lot better afterword as though it was toxic in my body before it came out. I'm not asking this to be funny. I really feel like there may be something wrong with my system. I wonder if I have a slow digestive system becasue I sometimes go three in one day then not for a day.
I mean reddish brown bowl movements.

Answer: you have got colitis or large bowel inflammation you need to see a doc and to have stool examination
Question: what could be causing this digestive problem? i just had a baby. he is 10 days old. however i dont think this is necessarily a 'just had a baby ' symptom. since 4 days ago, if i eat anything, solid or fulling, i get diarea, that only lasts for about an hour. mainly after i eat dinner, thru out the day, i snack on peanut butter on toast, or chees crackers. except today when i ate hot dogs for lunch, it happened again. its starting to scare me. i am not holding in my meals only snacks....why?
Answer: I don't think this has anything to do with having your baby. It could be because your just not processing the food correctly. Go to a doctor ASAP.

As of now, two of them are perfectly healthy and active.
Now, 1 is not as active as it used to be and hasn't eaten today or half of yesterday.

Any ideas or tips?

bowl or tank?
what size is the bowl/tank?
is it heated?
is it filtered?
how often do you change the water?
more info and I can help you figure out what's wrong.
-----
he should be in at least 2.5gallons so he can have a heater, he should also have a filter and receive 25% water changes once a week.
for now, change 50% of the water and don't feed him for 3 days. trust me he won't starve, fish aren't like humans. he can go 2weeks without food and still be healthy.
Question: Could eating a lot of hard sugar free candy cause digestive problem?
Answer: Yes the sugar-free ingredients are to be used in small amounts only. Just because it is sugar-free doesn't mean you can eat how many you want. Take it easy. A couple a day would be fine. Use your stomach as your guide. Trust your instinct.

Answer: Well, i need to know a little more about what you eat.
You could have celiac diesease which is when your body has a defect with its intestinal enzymes and they canoot breakdown gluten. Gluten is the constituent of certain grains: wheat, barely ,rye and oats. Your body reacts to gluten by a combination of digestive block (maybe why you have undigested food in your stool) with an immulogonic response in the person which results in a toxic effect on the intertina villi. This in turn creates these surface area for nutrient absorption, which could be the cause of weight loss and weakness. Celiac diesease overall causes malabsorption and malnutrition.
Mu\y aunt went through issues like this and she was finally diagnosed with celiac diesease. often it is only considered to be a childhood disorder but my aunt was 38 when they finally found out what the cause of her problems were. BUT ...
You have to do more than consult doctors in order to fix this problem. You need get your blood tested (celiac blood panel), it , CT scans and MRI ..because honestly it could be more serious things and the early they are recognized the earlier you can get help.
Question: does my toddler have a digestive problem? my 23 month does 7 stools per day, always have had bad eczema all over his body, and never once has slept through the night.
we have done allergy tests, etc... not lactose allergy... no gluten allergy.. no allergy..
im lost and desperate.
Answer: What kind of allergy testing have you done? Skin testing is specifically for IgE immune reactions which is typically the most severe yet least common type of allergic reaction. There are many other immune antibodies (IgA, IgM, IgG, phagocytes, etc) that are much more common and that you have to take into account.
So in other words, don't just take a test as golden. I can't tell you how many people have seen drastic improvements by removing the three biggest food intolerances (gluten, dairy, and soy) from their kids diets. And you have to cut out sugar as well as well as processed foods because these will full of the three above as well as other toxins and the sugar suppressed the immune system.
This is important because eczema is an autoimmune reaction which I can guarantee you is being triggered by something in your toddlers diet.
I'm also assuming that you are no longer breastfeeding because oftentimes if the mother has food intolerances/digestive issues then she will produce her own histamines (from immune reactions) and those histamines will travel through the breastmilk to the child who will react much the same as if they were producing the histamines.
I would recommend you remove the foods mentioned above and find a good high quality and wide spectrum probiotic for your child to support proper gut health. But be careful because if there is a bad dysbiosis (imbalance of gut bacteria) then the probiotics will start to kill off the bad bacteria which, while good, can cause an increase in symptoms. So start off very slow and build up over time. If you get negative reactions then back off a little.
If all of that does not regulate the stool frequency then you'll have to dig further. Not to scare you but there is always the possibility of parasitic involvement. But I wouldn't go there until you've ruled out everything else.
Question: what food can you eat with a digestive problem?
Answer: Try going with the brat diet foods.
B - Bannanas
R - Rice
A - Apples
T - Toast
That should work. Probably.
