Question: If there was a plus 1, USC and Georgia would not even be in the playoff. Would an eight team playoff work? I think there should be an eight team playoff with the BCS Conference winners and two at large teams
This year it would be:
1. Ohio State at the Fiesta Bowl
8. Missouri
2. LSU at the Sugar Bowl
7. Georgia
3. Virginia Tech at the Orange Bowl
6. West Virginia
4. Oklahoma at the Rose Bowl
5. USC
Next round would be at either the Fiesta Bowl/Cotton Bowl, and Rose Bowl/Capital One Bowl
Last round would be at the Sugar Bowl
Answer: plus 1, 8 team 12 team, a playoff is needed bad, dont care which way they go but we as fans deserve a real champ

Question: Can I exchange water for tea? in my eight glasses a day.? I am really enjoying green/white tea (no calories/sugar/fat/anything) and I am wondering if I can reasonably exchange some glasses of water for tea. I know that you are supposed to drink eight, eight oz glasses per day so would it be reasonable to drink four glasses of water, four cups of tea? Just thought I'd ask, thanks!
Answer: Culinary guy said it right.
Others have said that you can't count liquid containing caffeine as liquid. Pshaw! That's not true. Liquid with caffeine is just as liquid as any other. Think about it: don't we all know at least person who drinks only Coke and/or iced tea and/or coffee? If caffeine caused dehydration all of those people would be dead. People used to think that caffeine was a diuretic, but recent scientific studies show it's not true. Caffeine helps to process liquids faster, but it does not cause dehydration. So, even if your tea has caffeine in it, it's fine.
Question: can I add salt and sugar to my eight months baby's food?
I would rather the natural way of baby's feeding, my little boy eats the ready to feed baby's food in jars(like bledina+gorbar) and he is refusing to eat the fresh food I am cooking for him, I do thank all of you to have intrest in my question and to give me the time to share your experiance and thoughts, but still I did not get the almost perfect one.
Answer: Food 4-7 months
Introd.
semisolid food
The baby will be interested in exploring different textures and tastes
Feeding the child may afford the father a chance to bond
Eating habits begin early, so introduce nutritionally important foods early
Avoid putting foods in bottles as it delays the adjustment to textures. Hold and attend to you baby during the feeding process. If you are too busy to feed semi solid foods, then DELAY that part of the feeding until you have time to relax and nurture the bay.
Experiment with textures, first by adding breast milk or formula to dry cereal to make a thin gruel
Gradually make it thicker if the infant tolerates it without gagging
Commercially prepared baby foods are now being promoted as first step and second-step (junior foods introduced 7-8 months) foods. The latter is designed to help an the infant achieve a smooth transition to table foods by introducing new textures. The infant may resist these food at this point.
Be aware of food allergies the first year
strawberries, raspberries
fish, shell fish, lobster, shrimp, crab
cinnamon
almonds, walnuts, seeds
eggs (iron phosphate found in egg yolk is poorly absorbed by the baby
honey (linked to infant botulism causing muscle weakness beginning with facial, droopy eyelids, trunk) cant cause paralysis in the muscles of inspiration and constipation
Foods: Fruits, Veggies and Protein
Fruits are good to start before veggies. Apples and pears are popular. Cooked carrots, squash, yams and potatoes are good starters.
Tomatoes, orange and other citrus juice and cause a rash around the child's mouth. The fresher the juice, the more peel oil present.
-Wash the infants face right after he or she eats this kind of food.
Although 70% of parents with infants 6 months and under give their children juice, there is no nutritional need for it. It lacks protein, fat, calories, calcium, vitamin D, iron, zinc needed to support normal development. Plain fruits are preferred.
Figs, brown rice, spinach, and peas help constipation.
Do not give the child raw carrots, popcorn peanuts, grapes or other hard to chew similar foods.
Hot dog remain the most choked on food.
Protein: a 13 pound infant requires 12-13 grams of protein a day (which is easily provided by feeding 3.8 ounce bottle of formula a day) therefore concentrate on vegetables and fruits.
Cola drinks, diet soda, Kool Aid, Hi-C, Gatorade, sport drinks and punch have NO place in an infants diet. Soda has lots of phosphate in it that promoted calcium loss. Carbonated drinks DO NOT settle the stomach.
TIPS:
*
Suggested vegetables: beans, carrots, peas, beets, sweet potato or broccoli.
*
Suggested fruits: peeled apples, bananas, pears, peaches or cantaloupe.
*
You do not have to cook banana, cantaloupe, avocados or unsweetened canned fruits.
*
Fruits with seeds, like berries or kiwis, do not blend well.
*
Do not add salt, pepper, sugar, sweetener, butter or margarine to baby food.
Question: If a food label says there are 11 grams total carbs and eight fiber carbs and 5 grams of sugar are some indige indigestable? What are the five sugars and how come they do not end up as net carbs? Are all fiber carbs indigestable? Are some starches or sugars indigestable?
Answer: Fiber is divided into soluble fiber, which is digestable, and insoluble fibure, which is not digestable. Insoluble fiber does not count towad total carbohydrate calculations, because the body does not use it. All sugars are digestable.
Question: Would the ideal body eight for a guy who goes to the gym be higher thsn calculated? what abour his blood sugar and cholesterol?
Answer: normally BMI (body mass index) is a good way to work out if weight is in relation to your height, but if you have low bodyfat % it becomes inaccurate
for a man if your BF% is below 12% BMI will be inaccurate so long as you are between 7 and 15 % it is unlikely that weight is an issue
blood sugar levels are always changing and not much of an issue (unless you are diabetic)
cholesterol levels can only be checked with a cholesterol test weight, diet, etc are not indicators
Question: Around how many grams of sugar should a kid 14 years old 5'3 in eight grade consume a day?

Question: Why don't we grow more sugar cane to use in the production of ethanol in the US? Sugar is subsidized and produces eight times more energy than corn. Why aren't we following the Brazil model in producing more sugar ethanol?
Answer: I know sugar cane doesn't grow well here in Illinois.
I suspect that Sugar Cane grows best in the tropics. Very little of the United States is tropical.
If the free market demand makes growing sugar cane, sugar beets, corn or whatever look profitable, farmers will do their best to grow it. Goverment intervention only gums things up.
Question: What is the correct amount of cups and measurement for this question? Thanks!? A chocolate-chop cookie recipe for five dozen cookies requires ¾ cup of sugar. If you want to make eight dozen cookies, how much sugar is needed?

0.15 x 8 = 1.2 cups of sugar to make 8 dozen cookies.
Question: How long do I need to fast to do "fasting lab" work? I forgot and had coffee with milk and sugar this morning. Can I fast for eight hours (at work) and get the lab work done at the end of the day?
Answer: I forgot one time too and ended up having results saying I had diabetes.
But yes you should be able to fast for the rest of the day and then go do the labs.
I know a co-worker who always did her labs in the late afternoon because she didn't want to miss work.
