Fat
Question: fat?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!? How much fat is considered fat? What i mean is like by looking at my stomach or another part of my body can i tell if i am fat? I know my weight is fine but my stomach is fat i think.
Answer: According to some medical guide we have here, you grab the extra skin and if what you get is more than an inch thick, you're overweight. It's an old book, though, and that seems pretty harsh. There are charts you can check online or at a doctor's office that say whether or not you are overweight for your height/age.
Question: FaT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I think i am wicked fat and that is y i think i dont have a bf. people say i am not fat> wat can i do to raise my confidence

Should people make open remarks about the eating habits of others, or is it just plain rude?
Answer: its pretty rude i think, especially if you're not real close to the person.
i get disgusted watching fat people eat. it reminds me of someone with lung cancer puffing down a marlboro.
fat people also like to give excercise advice. like how they don't mind telling me how bad running is on my knees...whatever. they dont really know what they're talking about they just like to be able to justify sitting our their butt when they should be active.
so don't worry about them...just let it roll off.
Question: How do you grow fat from a tree? I understand how a steel ship floats, I understand the effects of gravity on celetial bodies etc. I'm not a complete idiot. What I don't get is why everyone says avocadoes are so fattening. Meat has fat content, I get that. Animals with unburned calories get fat and fat is in the meat and you eat it and it's fattening. Okay- I get that. An avocado grows on a tree. Since trees don't eat until they get fat how is it that you can grow fat from a tree?
Answer: the fat comes from the oils in the avocado which is produced by the tree in much the same way sap and syrup is made by trees. keep in mind the fat is the healthy type, unlike most other foods.
Question: Why do different people gain fat in certain areas of the body? What determines the fat storage for ethnicities? I noticed that certain asian races gain fat in the stomach and face when they are fat or obese. Certain Caucasians gain more in their upper arms and legs as well as their stomach but tend to not get chubby or store fat in their face. How is this biologically/genetically determined on where the fat deposits are stored?

Question: How much fat should I lose before I begin to lift weights? I am 5'8 and weight around 162lbs. I am a guy. I have lost a lot of weight, but I have hit a plateau and still have some belly fat and chest fat. It is not that much though. My question is should I try to reduce my fat even more? I know that if you have much fat and you lift weights, the muscle grows under the layer of fat. I do not have much fat left .

Question: What is the difference between the acid fat hydrolysis test and the petroleum ether extract test? Typically, foods are tested for fat levels but different testing methods can give very different results. For example, I saw the results for fat that were tested by acid hydrolysis and petroleum ether extract and noticed about a 10 fold difference. The acid hydrolysis test showed a fat level of about 10%. Where the petroluem ether extract test showed a level of about 1%. Does this have something to do with testing for total fat versus free fat?
Thanks for the help!
Answer: Hydrolysis will detect only esters, triglycerides and phospholipids. Extraction will only pick up free fat.
Question: What fat burning/diet pills are safe to use along with exercise? I understand a lot of people say that it's pathetic to take diet pills or fat burning pills without exercise because most of it is made of caffeine. I am 17 years old and I play football, I want to really reduce my body fat percentage. I have been gaining weight because I have an ankle injury and I cannot exercise on it a lot. I want to use a safe supplement in small portions to help me achieve my goals.
Answer: Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.
Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It's an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace.com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that your diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It's really great to stop food cravings.
Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Question: What is saturated fat exactly, and what does it do to your body? Today, I ate pretty good calorie-wise. (I ate about 1,500 calories.) However, I found that I ate close to 20g of saturated fat (the daily value.)
I know that saturated fat is bad for you, but why? Is it going to make me fatter and gain weight, or will I not gain because I ate the right amount of calories?
Answer: Saturated fat is considered bad for you not so much because of weight gain, but because it clogs your arteries. There are two main types of fats, saturated (bad) and unsaturated (good). Unsaturated fats are further subdivided into mono- and poly-unsaturated fats.
The word "saturated" indicates that the fat solidifies at room temperature, while unsaturated means that it doesn't. Have you ever seen cooking grease from bacon or beef collect? It becomes thick and congealed, it solidifies once it cools to room temperature. Compare that to olive oil (an unsaturated fat), which stays nice and liquid at room temperature. Now imagine those two types of fat in your arteries. Obviously one is going to move through the blood stream much more easily than the other.
That is why you should avoid eating saturated fats, and when you do eat them, have them in moderation. They hike up your cholesterol which puts you at greater risk for plaque build-up in your arteries, which can cause blockage and eventually a heart attack. In moderation they are okay, but try to avoid them when possible.
Hope that helps!
