Answer: fish oil is usually recomended in a healthy diet because it contains the "omega 3 fatty acids" They reduce inflammation throughout the body. The Benefits of taking Fish Oil tablets are that some "experts" believe that taking fish oil (in any form) can help regulate cholesterol in the body, because fish oil has high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, like i said b4. Several studies report possible anti-cancer effects of n−3 fatty acids found in fish oil (particularly breast cancer, colon and prostate cancer). Oh and i heard on TV that recent studies had suggested that fish oil may reduce the risk of depression, and isuicide risk. In one study they took blood samples of 100 suicide attempt people and compared the blood samples to those of controls and found that levels of Eicosapentaenoic acid were significantly lower in the washed red blood cells of the suicide-attempt patients.
I'm not sure about the bad things about Fish oil but the preferred source of Omega 3 should be from the fish's body, not the liver. The liver and liver products (such as cod liver oil) of fish and many animals (such as seals and whales) contain Omega-3, but also the active form of vitamin A. At high levels, this form of the vitamin can be dangerous. So i guess thats the bad side.
It also encourages nail and hair growth.
Question: Are there real benefits to fish oil? IF you read my previous posts you saw I may be over weight.
6'1
220 lbs.
Will fish oil help me lose weight and cut cholesterol.
My last physical was a little embarrasing stripping down to my underpants, stepping on the scale to find out im overweight.
Answer: Omega 3 (Fish Oil) is so important to the body. It can help in keeping your cholesterol down. It helps with heart health. It helps with joint health. It helps your brain function better. It also helps eyes, skin and much more. It really isn't a diet aid and doesn't help so much with that. Try adding Green tea to your diet (about 5 cups a day). That will help some with weight.
Question: I take 1000mg. of fish oil each day. What benefits should I expect? Is this a good dosage? Also, is the fish breath worth the health benefits. Usually my morning coffee covers up the smell. But I notice it more on some days and have to drink lots of water and have a mint.
I have A.D.D. and was told fish oil is good for the brain. Is that true??
Answer: Deodorized capsules are available. Benefits far out weigh risks of mercury and PCB ingestion. Try taking them at bed time. Breath will be OK in AM. Try grape seed extract also some gain beneficial returns w/ add. Try to come up with a way to measure your inattentiveness objectively. Then compare before and after a trial. If fish oil or anything else were a magic bullet, it wouldn't be a secret.
Question: How long does it take to reap the benefits from Omega3 Fish Oil in regards to Rhumatoid Arthritis?

Question: How do you take Omega 3 Fish Oil and what are the benefits to men re: Zane Blue orgasmic diet? How do you take the Omega 3 Fish Oil tablets?
They come in capsules, so do you swallow them whole? suck them?
Do you eat at meal times, like just before you eat? Some instructions say yes, some give no indication.
What are the benefits to men?
These supplements feature heavily in Zane Blue (google her) 's orgasmic diet for better sexual health. I don't know if the benefits for men have been pointed out. She says that men should use these in conjunction with the Aneros massager.
What have your experiences with these been? Do they make your breath fishy or just your burps? How long until you notice a change/benefit? What were the benefits? Do you need to remain on these afterward?

Question: What will i benefit from fish oil? I just recently started to take fish oil pills and I was wondering what will be the benefits from it.
Answer: 1. Less Pain and Inflammation. Omega 3 fatty acids, particularly EPA, have a very positive effect on your inflammatory response. Through several mechanisms, they regulate your body's inflammation cycle, which prevents and relieves painful conditions like arthritis, prostatitis, cystitis and anything else ending in "itis."
2. Cardiovascular Health. Omega 3 fatty acids have also been proven to work wonders for your heart and the miles and miles of arteries and veins that make up your cardiovascular system. They help to lower cholesterol, tryglicerides, LDLs and blood pressure, while at the same time increasing good HDL cholesterol. This adds years to your life expectancy.
3. Protection from Stroke and Heart Attack. When plaque builds up on arterial walls and then breaks loose, it causes what's known as a thrombosis, which is a fancy way of saying clot. If a clot gets stuck in the brain, it causes a stroke and when it plugs an artery, it causes a heart attack. Research shows omega 3 fatty acids break up clots before they can cause any damage.
4. Better Brain Function and Higher Intelligence. Pregnant and nursing mothers can have a great impact on the intelligence and happiness of their babies by supplementing with fish oil. For adults, omega 3 improves memory, recall, reasoning and focus. You'll swear you're getting younger and smarter.
5. Less Depression and Psychosis. Making you smarter is not all omega 3 does for your brain. Psychiatry department researchers at the University of Sheffield, along with many other research studies, found that omega 3 fish oil supplements "alleviate" the symptoms of depression, bipolar and psychosis (Journal of Affective Disorder Vol. 48(2-3);149-55).
6. Lower Incidence of Childhood Disorders. Just to show how fish oil fatty acids leave nobody out, studies show that children (and adults) with ADD and ADHD experience a greatly improved quality of life. And those with dyslexia, dyspraxia and compulsive disorders have gotten a new lease on life thanks to omega 3 oils.
7. Reduction of Breast, Colon and Prostate Cancer. And finally, omega 3 fish oil has been shown to help prevent three of the most common forms of cancer – breast, colon and prostate. Science tells us that omega 3s accomplish this in three ways. They stop the alteration from a normal healthy cell to a cancerous mass, inhibiting unwanted cellular growth and causing apoptosis, or cellular death, of cancer cells.
