Food Supplement
Question: What is the best product/food/supplement to take to build strength and speed? Im looking for a food, supplement or product to build strength and speed so I don't want to bulk up too much either. Im an 18 year old athlete going to be doing weight lifting to increase speed (dynamic exercises) and running on the track and road a lot joined with some upper body and more cardio. I will be training almost everyday probably 6 days a week. I heard flax seed is good all around?!
Answer: cyto gainer for sure, im from south texas and played football and basketball in high school, make sure you drink enough water and you mush work out, you'll see results the first or second time you take it
--drink 2 scoops after finishing your workout
Question: What is a good food supplement for toddlers? My 18month old son is hardly eating and the doctor said that its the age where toddlers don't like texture but i would like to add a supplement to his milk that i know will give him nutrition on days that he refuses to eat food.
Answer: My two year old stopped eating all fruit and vegetables at exactly 18 months also. This is when I started giving him a daily vitamin. I went to the health food store and got Gummi Vites. They are made for toddlers and older kids. They look and taste just like gummi bears. You can give him up to two a day, but I only give my son one a day. Just make sure nothing you give him has an iron supplement in it. Most kids vitamins don't have iron, but check labels to make sure. You can always ask your doctor to recommend a vitamin supplement too.
I made sure to let my son know it wasn't candy and it was a vitamin, which he learned how to say right away. He enjoys taking one every morning with breakfast and he sings, "Vitamin, one a day!"
I also started giving him a carrot and apple juice blend (freshly squeezed) from the health food store, or you can juice it yourself, to get some sort of vegetable in him. At 27 months old, he still refuses all veggies and will now only eat dried fruit. It's frustrating, but I keep offering him fresh fruits when I eat them, and I can only hope he grows out of this weird faze.
I also offer Ovaltine in the afternoon as a treat, which he loves. Has tons more nutrients in it than chocolate milk and it tastes just the same. You could also make him fruit smoothies at home. Just don't let him see what you put in it. As soon as my son sees the fruit go in, he won't drink it, but if he doesn't he thinks it's one of daddy's ice cream smoothies and he drinks it up! You have to out smart them on a daily basis. They are little, but they are tricky! :-)
Good luck!!

Question: Is there a food supplement I could take to help my concentration and memory? Ive always had really bad memory and somebody said it was because I dont eat fish or seafood but i figured that was crap. my concentration is reallly bad too so wats a good food supplement to take to remedy these afflictions?
Answer: It's good to hear you're being proactive about your ability to concentrate and memory...
Below are a list of some of the more popular memory / focus / concentration / attention improving products. You can find them in local health food stores and the internet.
1.http://focusfast.com/
2.http://www.vivimind.com/
Focus Fast is stimulant free and contains the most ingredients.
Vivimind is the newest product on the market
There are also a few others that are pretty good that you can find in the 'Wellness and Health' sections of the above mentioned stores, or even through google. It's a big market right now. The downside to that is ... there are a lot of crappy or 'cheap' products ... usually single ingredient 'wonder pills' or just a re-branded multi-vitamin. It's kind of easy to spot them because they just *look* cheap.
As for food help ... Fish Oils and anything high in Omega 3s are considered 'brain food'. Also, small amounts of caffeine can help with CNS stimulation for short periods of time - just be sure to take it black! Putting anything inside it negates the affects.

I would like to know from anybody who has similar experience of taking Intra product and I would like to learn how does the product help them in their health problems.

Question: What are the different between doctor's pills and supplement food? The effectiveness especially supplement food, does it equal to fresh foods?
What a stupid answers from and odd people...
Answer: I am sorry for the answers you are receiving. As soon as you start talking pills and supplements, it brings out the religious zeal people have for their favorite things.
The difference between prescription supplements and over-the counter (OTC) products is regulation. Pharmaceutical supplies are always held to the highest standards, hence their added cost.
For example, if a doctor prescribes Omega-3 fish oils, he can use expensive pharmaceutical versions, or send you to Wal-Mart, depending on what you can afford.
Chances are, the stuff you get on the mass market will do, if you check the labels and make sure you are getting what you need. Once in a while, you will hear about a bad batch that contains harmful chemicals, contaminants, or heavy metals. This is because supplements sold as foods are not regulated as carefully. The good news is, when a lot of something bad is sold, it generates a lot of valuable feedback very quickly.
Pharmaceutical supplements, however, are virtually guaranteed, because they need the support of physicians to recommend them. If they let the good doctor down, they will lose repeat business, as well as their reputations. It costs money to maintain good quality control and testing, and they lose all of that money if they fail.
When it comes to equating supplements with fresh foods, even such ardent believers in supplements as Andrew Weil, MD (who has his own line of supplements) will tell you to get as many of your nutrients from fresh, real food as possible, and to take supplements merely as insurance.
The reason for this is there are many micro-nutrients and volatile oils in food that simply do not make it through the "supplementization" process. In case they do, almost every nutrient loses value and potency when stored over time, even when refrigerated or frozen.
While it is tempting to think this would not be the case with minerals, the form minerals take in pills is different from food. Calcium and magnesium, for example might be found throughout the delicate matrix of a leafy vegetable, but it is turned into a rock by a supplement. The resulting pill may disturb the digestive process, and in the end fail to be completely absorbed before it is eventually excreted. Some mineral supplements actually are more like what you'd find in the ground than in food.
Bottom line, the healthiest people, statistically, are those who eat well and take small amounts of vitamins and minerals as supplements. People who use too much or none at all are more at-risk for overdose, deficiency, and health problems.
Question: Can you take medicine while taking or not missing your vitamins/food supplement? I have influenza today and I need to take Biogesic as of now (afternoon). But I take my food supplement regularly (means I haven't missed any yet). Should I still take that food supplement or miss it for a while because I took a medicine? So, I need your help, miss it or continue it because that doesn't have effect whatsoever...?
Answer: You don't say what supplement you're taking, but as a general rule, they're 99.9% crap that won't do any good or harm in the vast majority of people, so it probably makes no difference. Acetaminophen/paracetamol is extremely safe, and major interactions are few. With other medications, it's best to be more conservative, but the details would be important.

Question: is there any medicine or food supplement that can lower creatinine? is there any medicine or food supplement that can lower creatinine?
Answer: denz a !
Creatinine and creatinine clearance tests measure the level of the waste product creatinine in your blood and urine. These tests tell how well your kidneys are working. The substance creatine is formed when food is changed into energy through a process called metabolism. Creatine is broken down into another substance called creatinine, which is taken out of your blood by the kidneys and then passed out of your body in urine.
Creatinine is made at a steady rate and is not affected by diet or by normal physical activities. If your kidneys are damaged and cannot work normally, the amount of creatinine in your urine goes down while its level in your blood goes up.

Question: Is there a food or supplement that you have found to elevate the level of blood platelets? I was diagnosed 9 years ago with low platelets (in the 60,000 range). They have done all the tests and have not come to a reason why I have this. Anyway, is there a supplement or food that will raise my levels? Thanks.
Answer: Not that I have ever heard of.
Low platelets is known as thrombocytopenia in doctor language. The most common form is "idiopathic"...which is a fancy latin way of saying "cause unknown".
If you aren't ill, getting lots of infections, getting lots of easy bruising or bleeding then there is likely nothing to worry about.
The fact you have had this for 9 years, and never apparently been ill from it says a lot to me.
Most labs report the "normal" platelet count as ranging between 120,000-400,000. so you can see there is a very wide range of what is considered "normal" range, for the purposes of lab tests. 60,000 may just represent an "outlier" statistically. I have seen patients with far far lower counts than yours who had no symptoms at all
tell your friends you have Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia and impress them with your Latin vocabulary.
Question: What is the best food supplement available for complete nutrition.? I am a 5'10'' in height and about 7 kgs underweight. Can anyone suggest what is the best food suppliment available in the market for my body type.
Answer: Hard to say with out knowing what your diet is like. Stay away from weight gainers they are just tons of calories. You can eat ice cream and get the same benefit.
Making a protein shake with yogurt, whey protein, fruit, salba or flax or hemp is one the best supplements.
As far as one supplement that is a complete nutrition the two I know of is
Spirlina
This tiny aquatic plant has been eaten by humans since prehistoric times and is grown worldwide as a healthy food. Imagine a vegetable with more protein than soy, more Vitamin A than carrots, more iron than beef, profound source of protective phytochemicals, naturally low in fat, source of the essential fatty acid GLA and is easy to digest.
Salba
Salba is the richest whole food source of Omega 3 fatty acids and fibre found in nature. Every serving (12 grams or approximately 2 flat tablespoons) of Salba® provides over 2,400 mg of Omega 3s, over 4,500 mg of dietary fibre, with less than 0.5 net carbohydrates per serving. Gram for gram, Salba® provides six times more calcium than whole milk, three times more iron than spinach, and fifteen times more magnesium than broccoli. Salba® is all-natural, has no trans-fats, is gluten free, has almost no carbohydrates, and is certified Non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).

www.nutrilite.com food supplements are no 1 food supplements with global turnover of usd 3.75 billion and they have been awarded the best product award for ASIA.

Question: What would be the best food supplement? Hi, I feel really run down for a while now and I just can't slow down because of my work. Can someone please suggest the best food supplement. I was taking Pharmaton and I found few weird side effects. What about Vivioptal or Berroca? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Answer: The vitamin supplements are a complete waste of money- one of the biggest cons out there along side diet Pills. Recent studies have shown that providing you are eating your '5 a day' fruit and veg, vitamin supplements on top of this are of no added benefit. It's a waste of time and money.
Eat a well balanced diet, exercise- this is vital and get adequate sleep. NOTHING will substitute these things.
