Question: Hair growth? I recently got 100% real human hair extensions and they look great! I get tons of compliments..but I'm excited that I could grow my hair that length. How long is usually the growth rate of hair and how many inches/etc?
Answer: Well, Britt, my hair grows about 8 inches to a foot a year. I highly recomend that you get your hair trimmed every 3 to 4 months with growing your hair out, because you don't want all your length to be split ends, you want it to be healthy hair, so cut of the split ends regularly, and get about half an inch to an inch when getting trimms. I hope I answered your question, I did my best. GOOD LUCK and Have Fun!
:)

Question: HAIR GROWTH?!?!?!!?!?!? ok so i got my hair cut a few inches on friday and its like short :(
and i really dont like it, and i heard hair growth oil makes your hair grow? but then some others ive seen says it hasnt :S
ALSO i heard if you rub lavender oil into your scalp it makes your hair grow?
so if anyone could help me with it all thanks so much!
oh btw, i live in the UK so i think it will be hard for me to get the wild hir growth oil? but yeah if any of you have used any of these products could you tell me?! or have any tips that would be great! :D
Answer: it does, but not the oil alone.
oil will just nourish your hair, not condition it,
so you have to keep your hair moisturized.
i've heard about rosemary oil, not lavender,
but it's worth a try.
oils:
wild growth is from sally beauty supply.
i don't think that's in the uk.
try olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, rosemary oil,
almond oil, or emu oil.
you can use it as a hot oil treatment once
or twice weekly, concentrate on your scalp and
massage it in.
conditioner:
use it daily! and a deep conditioner once
weekly.
shampoo:
use less frequently to let natural oils stay
on your hair. unless you have really oily hair, shampoo
daily.
Question: Hair growth promotion. Is it safe to use 3 different hair growth products in a day? I looked up a few hair growth creams and I came across 3 different ones that promote hair growth.
One is called Mercy Cream, another, Virgin Hair Fertilizer and finally, BBD King Stretch Cream.
Is it safe to use all 3 in one day or at least alternating weekly? Will my hair fall out? Will it grow 5x my expectancy?
Answer: It is a bad idea. If any problems happen, you even don't know what the really cause is! Don't do that, try to use one for a week, if no result, stop for one to two days and try another product. That is safe method.
Question: What kind of Hair growth products out there are really good? My sister is trying to grow her hair out. She's tried Dr. Miracle and Doo Grow and Baby don't be Bald and some others I can't remember, it showed little results after 5-7 months of use. So is there any other good hair growth products that she can use that can show some results?
Answer: Hair Care for African American Women
It`s a fact that healthy hair has faster growth, vibrancy and resilience. But how do you achieve healthy hair?
Start With Proper Nutrition
This is probably the single most important factor to having healthy hair. Just like any part of the body, the hair needs certain nutrients in certain amounts to be healthy. The problem is that the average person`s diet doesn`t supply all of these nutrients in the proper amounts. There are many ways to increase your vitamin intake – eat dark vegetables, nuts, whole grains and pure oils. Or try a hair vitamin. Look for products with essential oils like vitamins E and A, flax seed and borage oils. Be sure your hair vitamin also includes significant amounts of B6, B12, Niacin, Biotin, pantothenic acid and folic acid – the elements found in healthy hair. Be sure any products you use inside or outside are formulated for relaxed or chemically treated hair.
Be Sure Your Hair Is Properly Moisturized
Dry hair is unhealthy and can lead to problems like split ends. Some people are lucky enough not to have dry hair naturally, but they are in the minority. Look for products that contain jojoba oil. Adding Jojoba Oil to your skin cream can help improve skin tone. It is a natural emollient, making the skin softer, cleaner, and all around healthier. These properties make it ideal for use on the scalp to clear away build-up that can inhibit healthy hair growth. In addition to helping relieve dry, itchy, and flaky scalp, jojoba oil can also nourish and condition hair follicles, thus preventing or repairing damaged hair.
Keep Your Scalp Clean
Having a clean scalp is essential to healthy hair growth. Over time sebum can build up in the hair follicles which will stunt the growth of the hair and cause a "thinning" look. It`s important to clean the scalp thoroughly to prevent this. Look for products that contain de-ionized water, emu oil )which acts as a super moisturizer that infuses dry, brittle hair with vibrant shine), Shou Wu extract, silk protein, calcium, vitamin E, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, vitamin B2, folic acid, collagen and citric acid. These nutrients promote healthy, fast growing hair and are reported to work together to simultaneously soften and strengthen hair. Again, be sure your product is formulated for not only relaxed, color treated, and braided hair, but for natural hair as well.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Unfortunately, chemical treatments like relaxers, curly perms, and coloring can cause damage to the hair. Relaxers can be particularly damaging because they work by bringing down the bonds that hold the hair together resulting in breakage. Use products that contain natural ingredients. These ingredients should be the first listed in an ingredient list on your product label.
Question: How much hair growth did you get from taking prenatal vitamins? I heard so much about prenatal vitamins growing hair. How much growth did you get from taking them? How long do you have to wait to see results?
Answer: Prenatal vitamins DO NOT help your hair grow faster. The only reason why preggo ladies hair grows super-fast has to do with their hormones, not the vitamin itself.
Sad to tell you, won't be any less. Same time.
There's really no way of accelerating your hair growth... Even though many products out there do claim to help your hair grow faster they just "Promote Regular hair growth"
There are many things you might be doing that might slow down your regular hair growth (Such as a poor diet, smoking, stress, lack of sleep, etc.) so that's a good way to start... Here's a few things you can do to get your hair growing again. NATURAL things...
-Start eating many fruits and veggies (Especially the dark ones which are higher in Anti-Oxidants that work wonders for the health of hair)
-Cut down on stress and try to relax, start or continue exercising and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day. The more you stress about your hair the less it will grow, as ironic as it sounds stress automatically slows down hair growth.
-Get a multivitamin specifically for that (GNC has a very good Hair, skin and nails formula, but take into consideration that these won't work by themselves as long as you are not carrying a healthy diet.
Regular hair growth is a process just because hair growth is the first thing that the body slows down in order to keep energy for much more important organs in your body like your brain, lungs and heart, there's no miracle shampoo that will give you 5 inches of hair in 1 week, but there's many ways to definitely make it better as I mentioned.
Hope this helps.
Question: What is the best and fastest hair growth product for any race women? I got a short hair cut (shoulder-length) and my hair is puffy. So I want really long hair so it would look better when dry. I really dont know cause its not growing. Is is because, maybe, my gel in my hair or moose and stuff. Stunts its growth. But how else am I suppose to keep it controlled.
Answer: I use to have super slow growing hair. But, I found one really good hair growth product that I discovered while searching on this message board. The product is called A Double Portion Super Hair Growth System. I am biracial, and this product worked really good, and really fast for me, so I think it will work for any race woman.
Its shampoo and conditioner contained Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Citrus Oil, Vitamin E, B Vitamins, Rosemary, and Sage…and lots of other natural hair growth ingredients. Anyways, these ingredients are all really good for hair growth and should be in any good hair growth product or supplement. They even have a system that included a super hair growth shampoo, conditioner, oil, vitamins, meal plan, and scalp exercises. When I used it, in 6 months, my hair grew about 8 inches!
I think that if this doesn’t grow your hair, you might need a hair transplant or suffer from stunted hair growth. I have to tell you that this product is worth the money and is really good. Plus, their shampoo and conditioner smell fabulous, almost like a coconut honey almond. It is yummy and works fast. And it is all natural, unlike other hair growth products, which have hormones and chemicals. You can buy it online at www.discoverb4a.com.
Just as everyone on the message board suggests, you should drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day and eat lots of protein. You may also want to take B Vitamins and Vitamin E.
Question: What is the best hair growth products for children under 3? I have a 6 month old, 2 year old, and a 3 year old. In our family, hair doesn't grow naturally without some kind of hair growth treatments involved. Where can I find some for my children?
Answer: You should try and do it naturally. for your two and three year old get used to tying their hair, or pulling it back. I did this for my niece &her hair grew 5x more rapidly. But, you have to do it everyday, get in the habit of doing this.
Everything takes time. Just be patient. (:
Question: What are the home remedies for hair growth? My wedding is about to come this summer. What are the best home remedies for hair growth also which gives lustrous and health hair, currently m using olive oil massage twice a week giving very slow result. Is there any other solution for fast hair growth? i've waist length hair and want more growth.
Answer: It is a myth that oil actually helps your hair grow long. Oil just acts a a coat and protect your hair from pollution, dirt etc. It only coats your hair, makes it stronger, and shiny.
If you hair is stronger it wont break as fast, therefore instead of loosing 50 hairs a day you may loose 10. Thus oil prevents hair fall rather than helping hair grow long. ;-)
You hair will grow at its normal speed but use oil to prevent it from falling and thus beginning the growing process from scratch.
I hope this help and obviously for more tips on your hair care you can have a look at the article. It will give you advice recommended by experts.
Good luck

Question: What is the best product for hair growth? I have eczema and bad hair damage.
I am deciding between:
Mane 'n Tail Deep Moisturizing Shampoo
Doo Gro
Dr. Miracle
I am african-american, so I don't want Pantene, Avon, and stuff like that cause I know it won't work for my type of hair.
What is the best product that can help hair growth?
Thank you.
Answer: You can try braiding your hair and keeping moisture in it.
Wrapping your hair often allows your hair to grow a lot.
You should comb your hair everyday this lets the air flow through and gives the roots time to breathe and stretch out. Doo Gro does work and so does Dr. Miracle. I do not use either one of them but my mom has and it doesn good for her. You may want to try finding a beauty shop where you can go to either bi-weekly or weekly or if that is not available, you can do a hot oil treatment just by using a shower cap and either hair grease or some kind of oil. I know a lot of tricks when it comes to hair growth its all about you take care and treat your hair. but if you think you have a serious problem you may want to go to the doctor. you can email me at [email protected] for more tips if you'd life.
Question: What are the best vitamins for hair growth? If you have taken vitamins for hair growth, or just regular vitamins that made your hair grow. I'm looking for people that have actually taken these Vitamins, and that have really worked for them. If you haven't taken Vitamins but used some sort of product on your hair that did wonders in hair growth, and keeping healthy hair, then let me know about that too!! Thank you!
Answer: biotin works good
and take a multivitamin with that.
trust me my hair grows 1.5 in each month =)
also i have heard that Protein Treatments and
Moisturizing Treatments work good too.

(its a vitamin) but after like 6 months it stops working

Question: What can I do to stimulate hair growth and make my hair longer? I have fine-medium course hair that is about 4-5 inches below my shoulders in length. I would like it to grow longer, so I was wondering if there were any methods or products that I could use to speed up my hair growth. Thanks!
Answer: Biotin is a great over the counter vitamin/mineral.
Question: HAIR growth? I need sampoo and conditioner that makes your hair grow fast NO PILLS! it needs to be CHEAP
Answer: Well there really isn't any shampoo and conditionars that can make your hair grow. Look at it this way hair is dead. You can't just magically make your hair grow by rubbing shampoo in it!
Try getting healthy trims all the time and avoid using various chemicals in your hair. Also avoid straightening. This helps your hair grow naturally and prevents split ends.
Also you can use some shampoos that can help your hair be healthy and that can encourage more hair growth. It basically provides your hair with the right balance of vitamins and nutrients and rich essential oils.
Try massaging your head with oil. Try almond oil or just regular oil. Even baby oil works. I know it makes your hair greasy, but it really helps. Leave it on for a night and then wash it the next day.
Some shampoos that will support your hair to grow naturally and provide it with the essential vitamins are:
Sunsilk
Head and Shoulders
Garnier Fructis
Pantene
These shampoos help keep your hair strong and healthy which will help your hair grow.
Note: your hair grows at different rates. Everyone has different hair. We are not the same. This is why our hair grows at different rates.
I Hope This Helped!!!
Remember Think Natural!!! Eat Healthy!
Question: How can I speed up hair growth if its possible? I recently shortened by almost elbow length hair up to shoulder length. It was a mistake and I really miss my hair. I have made a vow to go all summer without straightening or blow drying my hair, taking gummy vitamins daily, using moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and using hair styling products very rarely. Will this help speed up the growth of my hair or will it just keep it healthy as it grows at a normal pace?
Answer: Hiya :)
I know exactly how you feel. You're at that stage where you realise you want to go back, and you've vowed to do these steps to get it back but er . . . well, its gunna be agggesssssss.
But no worries, my dear! Hair is meant to grow, and hair is a complete accessory to you. You wanted to change, right? And between now and until you get your hair back, you can use this oppurtunity to experiment, to change, to find out what suits you best and so on.
It sounds wierd, but you can either enjoy the ride, or wait desperately.
I have a number of solutions:
1) KEEP CUTTING YOUR HAIR. Not shorter, but trim it. It will actully speed up your hair growth. "Most individuals also have limits on hair growth, meaning that their hair will only grow out so far before it begins to break and split." Once your hair has split, well - eww. Lets not settle for second best, get yourself healthy locks.
2) Supplements. Cool beans, but many the supplements you need are already in your food. Check this out: Food rich in vitamin E, C, B6, B5, B3, and A is essential in promoting hair growth.
You can find vitamin E in vegetables, vegetable oils, raw nuts. Vitamin C = oranges and lemon, berries, strawberries. B6 = cereals, eggs, and beans. Vitamin B5 = sources of vitamin B6. Vitamin B3 = fish and white meat or chicken and turkey. Vitamin A = carrots, peaches, apricots.
3) DAMAGE IS A NO NO. It kinda speeds up the split ends idea, right? so In effect you'd have to cut off what you've just grew. However enjoy yourself, as your hair is not going to break that easy, just use protective stuff and do it quick. and think of other ways of styling your hair. For example, if you want curly hair, wash your hair and put cool rollers in. Let them dry with the cool rollers in. Then take them out. Voula!
4) Ever thought of extensions? Have a good hunt around, and find some good extensions. Human hair ones are always more expensive then fake ones, but if you know where to look you can find some stylable synthetic ones, for a fair price. You'll be amazed at how natural they look.
Hair growth is roughly 1.25 centimeters or 0.5 inches per month, being about 15 centimeters or 6 inches per year.
Have a look on my source sites, and be happy! Enjoy the ride, do what you can and don't worry about anything. ;D
Gooood luck.
