Question: herbal tea? Which herbal tea do u recommend to drink while being pregnant.
Answer: ask your doctor you are not supposed to be drinking/ eating herbal products or taking herbal remedies while you are pregnant. If you like tea drink unsweetened good old fashioned tea.. try not to drink to much because of caffine (you can get it decaf at the store)... but a little caffine won't kill you or harm the baby.
Question: Herbal tea ??????/? Aren't all teas Herbal ?
Answer: no...regular tea is made from tea leaves from a bush called "Camellia Sinensis" and Herbal Tea is made with fresh or dried flowers, leaves, seeds or roots.

Question: How do you make herbal tea with Damiana, ginkgo and passionflower taste bareable? I haven't a clue how to make herbal tea. I just know I have never liked the taste of it. Any suggestions on how to mix Damiana, ginko and passionflower, and to taste completely different to herbal tea. I will try and test every suggestion and comment back as well.
Answer: Hi there.
Minx's answer with honey works well. here's another way. Let it cool and mix equal parts with fruit juice, fresh squeezed if possible. I have used this way with kids and they seem to tolerate it quite well. Another way is to cool it and add to a fruit smoothie.
Enjoy!

Question: Where can I find a list of herbal tea remedies and other holistic uses for different teas? I would like a site that lets me know what holistic uses are available for teas and lists many different herbal tea remedies and recipes. As well as other ways to improve your health or weight through herbs.
Answer: http://www.naturalherbsguide.com/herbal-teas.html
There are also tons of books on this, if you want to take a trip to the bookstore, and you could find exactly how much of what and how often to take them.
Question: Is there one herbal tea that is better for you than others? I know green tea is supposedly good if you're trying to lose weight, but I'm wondering is there any one herbal tea that is better for you than the others or are they all equally good for you? I like them all.
Answer: They are all good.
Herbal tends to lean towards no caffeine. Where as any other tends to have some caffeine in it, hence green or black tea. All teas are good, it comes down to more of a preference. Green tea has less caffeine yet all the anti-oxidants. But I also drink chai which has black tea plus the anti-oxidants.
Does caffeine matter to you.
Do you like mint or lavender
Drink what tastes good to you and enjoy.
Question: Does herbal tea have the same antioxidants as green or black tea? By herbal I mean non caffinated - chamomile etc. It's not made from the tea leaves as such so does it have the same beneficial properties?
Answer: Not usually. Green tea and black tea (the "true" teas) contain. among other components, polyphenols, which are powerful anti-oxidants.
Herbal "teas" or infusions contain extractives from whatever plant was used to make them. Most of those plants do not contain polyphenol derivatives in any abundance (but may have other, less well-studied anti-oxidants depending on the plant).
If you want to get the maximum anti-oxidant benefit from real tea you should take it without milk, as the proteins in milk complex the tea's anti-oxidants and reduce their ability to be ansorbed by the body.
There continues to be a debate about whether green tea or black tea is more beneficial. In the lab, they both contain roughly the same amount of anti-oxidants. But black tea, which is roasted, may convert the polypenols into longer chain forms which have a tougher time passing into the bloodstream.
Another debate is whether decaffeinated contains the same levels of effective anti-oxidants.
White tea, which is just appearing in popular brands, is said to be esoecially rich in anti-oxidants.

Question: Is it necessary to drink the salt flush drink and herbal tea during the master cleanse diet? will I get the same results? What is a good herbal laxitive tea I can get from my local grocery store?
Answer: I feel that the salt flush is important as it helps with the flushing process which is the core of the master cleanse.
As far as the herbal laxative tea goes, most anything with senna leaf will work. Senna leaf is a natural stimulant to keep you going, in the applied sense. Most any grocery store should have some sort of laxative tea. My personal favorite is the "smooth move" tea from Traditional Medicinals which can be found at most grocery stores.

Question: Can a bag of herbal tea really expire? I moved about a year ago, and I still have a couple of things still packed (i know, i know) anyway, i found a bag of herbal lemon Lipton tea, and I really want to drink it, lol, but can I?
Answer: Herbal teas can expire just like any other tea. If left for too long, the substances that give the tea its flavor will gradually be broken down and partly evaporate, leaving a tea that has a much weaker taste.
Herbal teas are often not oxidized, and oxidation increases the shelf life of a tea. For that reason, you can probably expect that the year-old tea you found will not taste the way it would have when it was fresh.
But there's no risk in trying, so I suggest you brew it and find out for yourself.
Question: Is herbal tea a healthy substitute for plain water? I drink water all day long, everyday. I never drink sodas and only allow myself one cup of coffee and one 6 oz glass of orange juice in a day... Is it okay to drink UNSWEETENDED herbal mint tea in place of water? I just feel like I need some flavor in my life!
Answer: Yes, absolutely. My nutritionist advised me herbal tea is great, its just fruit teas that you have to be careful with as they contain lots of sugar.
Question: How do you make herbal tea with the fresh flowers from passion flowers? I just moved into this house the other day and I found a wonderful garden of passion flowers by my front door. I did a bit of research on the medicinal uses and lo and behold, I would benefit greately from it, having anxiety with tachycardia and IBS. I have an herbal tea strainer already but I have always bought already dried flowers.
What is the correct way to make herbal tea from fresh flowers? Do I dry them first or just pop them in the water and let them steep? With passion flowers, do I use just the flower? How do I dry them properly if I need to do so?
