Answer: Flexcerin is the Powerful Formula to Synergistically Support Pain Joints.
Question: Iceland Joint relief formula soft gels for joint pain. Any Good?
Answer: no good ,
Question: Knee pain and joint support formulas? I'm considering buying a joint support supplement to help me for the next few weeks while i recover from having terrible runner's knee. Any suggestions on a product or brand? Has this worked for you?
Answer: Glucosamine (and Chondroitin) are the general over the counter supplement to help with joint problems.
They come in both liquid and pill form although from what I've heard liquid goes into affect more rapidly. Look into Parker Taft for the pill form as that's what I used to use when I had some pain due to running too much.
Question: Is Osteo Bi-Flex Joint Shield Formula safe for a 7 year black lab? When he was younger he had a torn ligament in his leg and got surgery. He is usually very active but lately he has been very stiff. For example he loves going outside and usually if you go by the door he will jump right up and trot to the door, but now he is struggling to get up even and is limping when he finally does. He weighs approximately 98-ish pounds. Would this be safe? Any tips or advise to make him more comfortable and pain-free?
Answer: Osteo Bi-Flex,joint shield Formula is perfectly, safe to give to your dog..IT is after all only a
glucosamine, supplement which will aid the joints..Think also the sporadic feeding of high calcium
flavoured milk,in your dogs diet will also help a bit with the limping & stiffness..Would suggest that
you,buy or make a raised litter bed,for the dog..SO that when he goes to,get up he's already half-
way there,by having front feet on the ground,he can then maneuver rear quarters, more easily so not
as painful for him..May also need to change his diet, from raw or dry,to cooked with rice & veges..
Further suggest that you do,a vets visit & get him checked for a twisted or strangulated bowel, which will make it hard for him to get off the floor..Hence the raised litter bed..
All of the above i used with my dog,who lived to be 18yrs old..Lost him in July 09.Not bad for an
African Lion Dog,who until the last 12mnths or so of his life, weighed in @ 68-4KGS.Big dog..
My very best wishes to you..Stay well & happy..Hope i was of a little help to you?
Question: How can you get rid of chronic knee pain? I've this chronic pain for quite some time now, I've had to use braces, and ice packs. I'm even taking a joint formula and it seems to be helping, but I'll be walking and all the sudden my knee(either one) will start hurting like I pulled a muscle or something. I can't get anything off of medical sites and it is kind of getting annoying.
Answer: i have the same problem. havent found anything yet that works, other than pain meds that knock me out. good luck
Question: Best supplement brand for joint pain, preferably not expensive, but you obviously want it to work? I'm thinking of getting my beau a bottle of glucosamine chondroitin since he's so young (20s) but already has achy joints. It's a chronic problem for him and I don't think he's ever tried any supplements.
But whenever I look at the bottles in the store I am never sure what to get. I would like something that works and is relatively inexpensive (since I assume this would be a long-term thing).
Nature Made and CVS store brand seem to go on sale a lot, but I don't know about their quality.
And my second question: Does adding MSM to formula really make it work better?
Oh and there's regular, double, and triple strength formulas. How do you decide which one to use?
Answer: Ask the pharmacist what is best. I did this when I wanted something to help boost my energy. I had picked something already but decided to ask before I bought it and am glad I did. What I had chosen could cause high blood pressure she told me and said to buy B-50 which I did. Whenever in doubt, ask the pharmacist. Poppy
Question: Need help with Weight Loss,High Cholesterol,Blood Sugar,Joint pain Other?? www.libertyvitamin.com? Amazing all natural whole grain formula.
Answer: take an add out somewhere else. not here!!
Question: Joint Support Formulas? Knee pain and joint support formulas?
I'm considering buying a joint support supplement to help me for the next few weeks while i recover from having terrible runner's knee. I'm 30 and have been running seriously for about a year now. I read that women are more susceptible to knee problems and i want to prevent future deterioration or damage to my knees. Any suggestions on a product or brand? Has this worked for you?
Answer: OsteoBiflex does work, but you have to take it for a long time before noticing a difference.
There is an all natural company called Melaleuca. They make a product called Replenex. I have end stage arthritis in my left knee from an old injury when I was a teen. I was taking osteo biflex for a long time, really not noticing a difference. I started taking Replenex, and within 2 days I noticed decreased pain and stiffness in my knee. Replenex is a patented blend of glucosamine fruit compound and condroitin proven to rebuild cartellidge in your joints. It really worked for me. I am able to do more things now than I could think of doing before. I've been on it for 6 months now, and my doctor is surprised at how well my knee is functioning. They were talking about a knee replacement on me, and now I may be able to put that off for a while.
Replenex is only $10 a bottle... and I think its very much worth it!!!
Visit http://melaleuca.com/ and check them out for yourself. I dont normally try to sell products, but this stuff really works. Any questions, feel free to email me [email protected]
Question: would my dog benefit from these joint supplements? my dog is about 10 he had some problems with his hip a while back and now i think he has arthritis. Was thinking about getting these to help out anyone have any experience on the subject.

http://www.petco.com/product/8893/Veterinarian-s-Best-Aches-and-Pains-Formula.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch
Answer: Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM are the supplements usually recommended for joint problems and arthritis. The first product you linked, Advanced Cetyl M, doesn't contain any of those ingredients; as far as the ingredients that it does include, I honestly couldn't tell you how effective they are since I've never heard about any of them being used for arthritis. The second product, Veterinarian's Best, has Glucosamine and MSM, but no Chondroitin. It also has a few other ingredients that are said to relieve pain.
If I were you I'd google the ingredients that are in both of those and try to figure out how safe and how effective they are. Also make sure that they contain the amount of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM that your dog needs (see daily recommendations below). Many supplements designed specifically for dogs contain far less of the key ingredient than the same human supplement would. And, if you're giving him supplements that contain other ingredients for pain, it would not be safe to give him more than indicated on the bottle because you might then be giving him too much of another ingredient.
Recommended Daily Joint Supplement Dosages (for dogs):
Glucosamine --
500mg per 25 lbs of body weight ( 20mg/lb)
Chondroitin
400mg per 25 lbs of body weight.
MSM
625mg per 25 lbs of body weight.
If you want to save a bit of money and get the supplements for humans, combination Glucosamine/Chondroitin tablets can usually be found in tablets containing the 500/400 ratio. A 50 pound dog would get two tablets a day. A 100 pound dog would get four tablets a day. You can safely give more so you don't have to split pills. Just give however many pills it takes to be at or over those dosages. These are very safe supplements.
You will need to buy MSM tablets separately. There are tablets which contain all three, but these usually have too little MSM proportionally.

Question: Do Cherry Supplement Pills Work? I went on traversebayfarms.com and they offer many choices for cherry products: dried cherries, cherry juice, and cherry supplements. I wanted to buy the supplement for gout but was wondering if anyone has ever bought/tried them? Either for gout, athritis/joint pain?
Fruit Advantage Joint Formula - Tart Cherry
Made with Montmorency Tart Cherries
and this one
Fruit Advantage Joint Formula - Tart Cherry
There are two...have no idea if they really work so. Help? Please?
Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.
YAY more details. the key ingredients in cherries that help against gout are:
ANTHOCYANINS which is 'supposed to allow the body to fight swelling in the tissue' and help repair the tissue
VITAMIN C which if used consistently can reduce uric acid in the body which helps against gout.
POTASSIUM an electrolyte that helps the body to excrete excessive amount of uric acid.
Answer: Citation: Don't go to a farmer for health advice, just like you wouldn't go to a doctor to get your car repaired.
How true. The sentence is but missing few more words.
Do not ask some ignorant amateur about his opinion of science as complex as Naturopathic Medicine.
I have mixed experience with the use of tart cherries for gout sufferers. It works for some and it doesn't for others.
It does depend on the exact type of gout and the length of time the gout was ravishing the patient body. In the case of chronic gout I didn't observe any major improvements in any of my patients.
Question: has any1 heard of the new formula of levothyroxine called eltroxin? i have no thyroid and have recently been put on a new formula of synthroid(levothyroxin) its called eltroxine and ive been on it for a couple weeks and i have wrist and basic joint pains and i work with a computer so i need my wrists and ive also had some pretty bad chest pains. my heart is either beating to fast or really irregularly. and it just causes a very sharp pain in my chest. ive lost some weight (which is not a bad thing) but its cuz i can never sleep so im up all nite cleaning and workin in the fitness center at my apt just tryin to wear myself out and yet the pains start when im relaxin wit my husband on the couch. so i was wondering if anybody knew about the new formula and what all the side effects are so i can be well informed when i go to my doctor.
Answer: Eltroxin(brand name) has been around for awhile-however since moving the manufacturing of it from Canada to Germany different fillers have been used and more side effects reported. If in any doubt go back to your doctor and have him put you on synthroid.
Question: Would this be okay to give my dog? Hi there,
I have an older German Shepherd/Husky mix, she's 10 years old, and she's having a tough time with her back legs, has trouble getting up and down, is really stiff. I know that's normal, but when I give her things with glucosamine in them, she has a lot less trouble, she very obviously gets around much easier. Her vet even reccomended I give her some. I found this stuff, at 1800 Pet Meds, called "Joint Enhancer". Here's what it says about the product:
"1-800-PetMeds Joint Enhancer is a natural daily dietary supplement to ease joint pain and improve joint function. Active ingredients 300 mg chondroitin, 250 mg glucosamine, and 2 mg manganese improve flexibility and mobility as a part of the joint rebuilding formula. Joint Enhancer comes in a bone shaped beef & pork flavor tablet dogs love."
For the dog experts--would this be okay to give to give my dog? And if not, do you know of another product I could buy? She's young at heart but with achy hips. lol
Answer: A dog the size of yours, if she's having trouble and is really stiff, needs 1000 mg daily of glucosamine chondroitin with MSM. In fact, my vet told me to start my 70 pound dogs on 1500 mg for the first couple of weeks. I don't think this Joint Enhancer stuff is nearly as good as buying glucosamine chondroitin with MSM - it comes in chewable tablets and liquid.
Question: Lakota Joint Care allergy? I have a messed up knee from running (possibly tendonitis or patellofemoral pain syndrome), and decided to try this Lakota-brand joint therapy. Apparently it's supposed to numb the area and give temporary pain relief. (Kind of like a Rub A535 formula). It seemed like it was working alright, but now I'm up in the middle of the night with this extreme burning sensation on both of my knees! It absolutely kills and feels like they're on FIRE. I tried washing the stuff off, but I think it's seeped in so far that I'm just going to have to wait it out. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Am I using this stuff right, or do I have an allergy to the product? (I'm not allergic to anything, though!)
Answer: this has happened to my mother, doctor told her this is common in people who have sensitive skin, like younger and older people.
you probably will have to discontinue using it, its really strong, ask the drug store if there is something a little less stronger.
Question: Help picking out dog food please?!?!? My mom's dog in on Purina One Senior (horrible horrible food!). He is going to be 14 in January. My mom pays $18 for an 18lb bag (I think it's 18lbs). I want to switch his food to something better. My mom has money problems - a lot of debt from college, divorce, raising three kids. She can't afford more than what she is paying now. I'd love for him to be on a food such as a holistic one and I was planning on paying the difference in price but I got laid off. Blah. Is the costco adult/senior food any good. I know the puppy one is pretty decent. Otherwise what is a food that is about $20 for 20lbs? He is not active at all. His joints are not the best. He doesn't even really get up to greet me anymore when I come home to see him. He's a little chubby but that's because he isn't active and he eat when he wants how much he wants basically. He doesn't need a special weight formula food. We are just gonna start measuring out his food. And please don't say take him for a walk or play with him... trust me I try and he is just getting old and stiff and joint pain arthritis-ness. His back legs also give out sometimes and his spinal cord has been pinched (it's fixed) so we were advised not to exercise a lot. He is a lovely mutt, beagle cocker mix of some sort. So any food suggestions? Thanks.
Canidae is expensive... atleast here it is. That was the one I looked into first. It was on the cheaper end of the really good brands. Not cheap enough though. I believe the chicken soup one was about the same price but I'll double check next time I'm out. PURINA IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look up the ingredients!
Good point about paying more/feeding less. I didn't think of it that way but Canidae might work out after all! And I bought some for him to try before I lost my job and he loved it and the treats.
I called all the carriers in my county there are 7 or 8 places and it was $26 for the 15lb bag and $48 for the 35lb
Answer: I don't know where you live, but two of the most affordable high quality dog foods I know of would be Canidae All Life Stages and Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul.
Edit: If he is getting old and stiff, it might do him good to have some glucosamine supplementation in his diet. Most senior dog food formulas have glucosamine included in them.
Edit x2: Kevin, what planet are you from where Purina is a good dog food?
Darksong~
Question: Do Waiora's products really work? They are expensive to buy.? My mom wants to order three specific products from Waiora. The Natural Cellular Defense, Agarigold, and Healthy Aging Formula. My mom has been experiencing pain in her knee joints and thinks its due to loss of synovial fluid. Waiora seems to be a Pyramid scheme type of business where you recruit members and make profit off them too. Their products are very, very expensive. One product says it uses zeolits to remove toxins. I want to know if this stuff really works before I shell out a lot of money for it.
Answer: It does work and it is one of the products I do use in my practice.
If you thing that's expensive, take a good look at the price of Pharma medication.
It can be hundreds or even thousand every month for the rest of the life.
With Waiora's or the Canadian product which is as good and cheaper you need to use it for few months only.
