Mineral
Question: What is the best drugstore mineral foundation? What is the best/your favourite drugstore mineral foundation? I'm talking about the container of loose mineral powder that you brush around your face with a big kabuki brush.
Do you find mineral foundation is better than liquid or cream foundation? Why or why not? Do you use concealer along with the mineral foundation or is the mineral foundation enough coverage?
Answer: loreal bare naturale mineral foundation---TOTALLY WORTH IT.....
Question: What is your favorite mineral foundation and why? I have been using Bare Minerals for quite some time, and I am very satisfied with it. I think it makes my skin look soft, natural, and luminous.
However, I have heard a lot of people say that it's dry, cakey, and unnatural.
Have you used any mineral foundations that you liked better than Bare?
Please only answer if you've tried Bare Minerals as well as other brands of mineral foundation.
Answer: I didn't like BM because it irritated my skin (Bismuth). Otherwise since I have oily skin, it did nothing for me except made my face look like an oil slick.
I prefer Alima or Everyday Minerals in Intensive or Matte.
Anyway you're lucky it works for you! But if you want Mineral Foundation without all the gimmicks and 25 dollar price tag, I'd go with those two.
Try looking up reviews of these products (makeupalley.com) and you'll be surprised!
Question: What is better, mineral makeup for older skin with imperfections or liquid foundation? I have watched the commercials for Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals and they look good but do they work? Will they make older skin look dry and fill in wrinkles? Does it really cover? Are they a mess? How is LOreal and the cheaper mineral makeup versions? What ingredients do you look for in this type of makeup? I hate wearing liquid foundation when it is hot and humid and thought the powder-mineral makeup might feel better, but I need to cover skin imperfections and dark eye circles!
Answer: My husband always makes a comment when I wear liquid foundation. He says in the sunlight I look too made up and can see the liquid foundation caked on my face. He never notices when I wear bare minerals. It does give a flawless look. I am 49.
Question: What's the difference between mineral water and normal water? And please don't just say, "Mineral water has minerals in it."
I would like something a little more detailed. I am curious to know... What does mineral water have in it? Why is mineral water so harsh to drink? Basically.. Compared to normal water, what's the difference?

Question: What is the mineral makeup foundation with the best coverage? I've tried the JANE mineral foundation, and it's a great price, but I don't think it does a great job of evening out my skin tone. I have looked at Bare Minerals and Bare Escentuals, but they are kinda pricey. Is it worth it? Which one is best?
Answer: Spending a ton of money on makeup won't guarantee quality; more often than not you're just paying for the name. Anyway I use Physician's Formula (can be found at Wal-Mart) and I couldn't be happier with it. If you want to look at more reviews to make a more educated decision, try www.makeupalley.com. I go there whenever I want to try a new product.
Question: How long is mineral oil good for? I have a bottle of mineral oil stored at room tempurature for about a year now. How long is it good until it spoils? Does mineral oil spoil?
Answer: Mineral oil does not spoil. It is not good for humans to consume.
Question: When growing plants indoors, is mineral water a good supplement? I know that plants need a certain amount of nutrition from the soil to grow, and that when growing plants indoors, the only nutrition they get is what you give them. I am trying to grow these plants completely organically, with dirt from my backyard, using nothing bought from a store except the vegetables/plants from which I took the seeds. So far I have large sprouts of morning glories and catnip, and small sprouts of tomatoes, green beans, cucumber, and green bell pepper. They seem to be doing very well with a combination of filtered tap water and mineral water, but I want to make sure they don't suddenly die out because they are getting too much or too little of something. The mineral water is bottled still (not carbonated) Italian mineral water. I have southern exposure in the window that they sit in, so sunlight doesn't seem to be a problem. Any tips for growing these through the winter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Answer: Filtered water is best. I would not bother with mineral water, you would be better of getting correct supplements for your plants than using mineral water. Speak to your local nursery and they should be able to tell you what you need to add to your soil in the area in which you live. Happy Gardening!
Question: How long is mineral makeup good for? I know old makeup isn't good for your skin, but I have a container of mineral foundation that i've had for about a year now, and there's still about half left. Is mineral makeup ok for long periods of time? I really don't want to waste all of it, because it's kind of expensive.
Answer: I use mineral makeup and it lasts me forever (probably haven't had to buy a new one in over a year). I think as long as the color still looks good, doesn't smell weird, it should be ok. Just be sure to clean your makeup brush. It it is a liquid mineral makeup, I wouldn't use it if it is separated or discolored.
Question: What is the best mineral foundation without bismuth? I have done some research and bismuth is in almost all mineral foundations and that it irritates my skin. I have pimples/very mild acne and i need something healthy for my skin. Bare Minerals did not work for me. Does anyone know of anything good? Preferably sold at Macy's?
Answer: the best would proboly be the estee lauder products
Question: What makes the diamond the hardest mineral? What makes the diamond the hardest mineral?
I have heard that something other is harder than a diamond, but I am not sure. So I don't really care about the other things, because I don't know them. So what makes the diamond, not other minerals, the hardest mineral?
Answer: It's hardest because of it's chemical make-up. It's made of carbon and carbon atoms fit very well to each other. There is no space between so the object becomes very stable. Also, for diamonds, millions of years under the ground being squeezed by all the weight of the rock around it changes it from just being coal or some other form of carbon to diamond.
Question: Does Maybelline mineral powder foundation work for dark circles? I've heard that mineral powders can cover dark circles, but they are all way too expensive for me except for the maybelline type. Normally to cover my dark circles I need concealer and foundation, and it's a huge fuss that takes too long in the morning, so I was wondering if I could use just mineral makeup instead, or mineral makeup along with concealer.
Also, if I were to use the mineral powder, would it work better than pressed powder?
Answer: Don't bother with foundation it doesn't work as well as concealer does. I have very dark circles too and I use 2 inexpesive products: First apply Covergirl Advanced Radiance concealer, it's yellow based and is designed to cover up dark circles around the eye area, then apply Covergirl Fresh Complexion over the top and blend it in to your foundation, make sure you select a colour lighter than your foundation/skin tone, this makes it look less yellow and should completely hide your dark circles.
Its also very inexpensive, I paid about $10 for each and I was very happy :) If you don't want it to look cakey, add a little bit of moisturiser to the second concealer, this makes it very sheer and smooth on your skin.
Question: What is your favorite mineral powder that doesn't contain bismuth? I want a mineral powder that gives good coverage and bare minerals contains bismuth which makes the skin itchy and creates too much shine on the face. It can be expensive as well.
The product you recommend can be expensive I mean.
Answer: all i use is mac its the best
Question: What mineral is mined to make aluminum flip tops? What mineral is mined to make aluminum flip tops that we use to open soda cans? Please I need this answer ASAP. And have a good source, not wikipedia or else you wont get top vote. Thanks.
Answer: Bauxite ore is mined, and refined to aluminum.
The minerals in the Bauxite are:
Gibbsite (Al(OH)3), Diaspore (AlO(OH)), and Boehmite (AlO(OH))
Note that bauxite is NOT a mineral itself, but a type of rock (a mix of several different minerals. Any rock containing one of the above three minerals is called bauxite.

Question: What is the best mineral make up out there? I have acne and I am looking to purchase mineral make up. I have already tried Bare Minerals and i like it but it's so expensive! Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Answer: Bare Minerals is expensive, but I stand by it. I've been a user of it for about 4 years now and I wouldn't use anything else.
You are able to split your payments with the, 2 payments of $25 instead of one payment of $50.
Question: Is there a difference betweeen different mineral make up? I have heard that Bare Minerals is really great make up. I have been using mineral make up but it is from Mineral Glitters. I also have heard of Sheer Cover.
Are all of these basically the same, or are there real differences in quality?
Answer: Contrary to popular belief, there is not one lab that produces all mineral makeup. What makes mineral makeup different is the quality of the raw materials along with the recipe. Too much of one ingredient can make the formula too shiny or too heavy, which will make it appear cakey on the skin.
Question: What is the best Mineral foundation you can buy at the store? Not talking Sheer Cover, or Bare Minerals (have it, love it, but too expensive for me), but something like neutrogena's mineral makeup or another brand? Which has the best cover/wear?
And the people that say Bare Minerals lasts a year...I have the biggest foundation there is and I'm already 3/4 through it(I've had it only a couple months)
Answer: my bare minerals foundation costs 25.00, and lasts me about one year, that's 2.08/month. what could possibly be cheaper in the long run ? you could buy some crappy 9.00 drug store foundation, that'll last 3 weeks, and there is no telling, how your skin will react to it. i spend less on make-up than ever before with bare minerals, you've got to look at the big picture, not just the initial cost.
