Nail
Question: Nail??????????????/? Where do you usually get your nails done? And how much does it cost.
Answer: There are good places, and there are bad places...to get your nails done. Ask some of your friends, ask them which place they like the best. Give them some options then have them pick their favorite. You can have some of your friends vote and eventually see which is the best. Also, their are different places everywhere to get your nails done. Say for example in Texas. They have a Nails Now! Well maybe in Chicago, they might not. You really just have to get familiar with your nail surroundings :)
Usually, it'll cost $20-$40. It depends what you want done. The more you get the more you spend.
Hope I helped

Question: What happens to a galvanized nail and iron nail in vinegar? I have to do an experiment in which I put a galvanized nail and an iron nail separately in vinegar and record my observations. Other than seeing some bubbling alongside the iron nail, I haven't made any other observations even after 2 days of the nails sitting in this solution. Isn't the zinc supposed to be removed from the galvanized nail and the iron be rusty? What should I expect after an hour or so and after 2 days of these nails being in vinegar?
Answer: GALVANIZING is done to prevent corrosion (specifically rusting) of the ferrous item.
Question: How do you prevent nail polish from hardening and gooey? I buy a bottle of nail polish. Then four months later when i want to use the nail polish the nail polish itself has "webs" attaching when i try to apply the nail polish to my nails.Any way to prevent it instead of buying a new bottle of that same color nail polish?
Answer: Put a bit of nail polish remover in it and then shake the bottle. It will thin the polish a little bit, but the color will remain the same.
And I don't know about preventing it. I guess just close the lid tightly, and don't leave the bottle open?
I hope this helps!
Question: How can I remove nail polish from my acrylics without taking off the whole nail? I just got my nails done, and I scraped some of my nails, So the nail polish looks really dumb. So how can I remove the nail polish with out removing the acrylic nail?
Answer: Use a non-acetone nail polish remover.
I prefer to use cotton pads when removing nail polish from my nails, but you can use whatever you'd like. Don't soak your nails with the stuff, just put enough to take the polish off. After you remove the polish, be sure to fully wash your hands so that you don't leave behind any residue. Wait until your nails are completely dry before re-applying any nail polish. Finish off using a nice hand lotion. I personally like Curél Targeted Therapy Hand & Cuticle Cream.
Question: How can i remove nail polish from where my skin meets my nail? I tried using a nail polish (Cutex for Sensitive Nails), and that got all my nail polish off, except for on the edges of my nails where my skin meets my nail. Please help!
Answer: If you've already tried nail polish remover, it will likely just take time to wear off on it's own. Try using a hand lotion several times a day; the extra moisture will make it more difficult for the nail polish to stick, and it will start separating from the skin, and then you can gently peel it off.
Question: How are acrylic nails removed at nail salons? I have acrylic nails and they are at a point where they need to either be refilled or removed. Last time I went to a nail place to have them removed some chinese guy just shoved another fake nail under the acrylic and literally ripped them off!!!!!!
Is this what they are supposed to do professionally? It wasn't pleasant. And I paid for someone to rip my nails off!!
I had tried removing them at home, soaking them in acetone but they never would come off. Any advice on the ones i have now?
Answer: at the one I go to the soak your fingers in Acetone(it's just like nail polish remover) for a while, then file them down, soak agian, file again and then they pop right off.
Trim them down real short and soak them in acetone. Then try to wiggle them loose a bit. Then soak again until they come off. That's the only thing I can thing of today besides popping them off with your teeth, which can be painful
Question: What else removes nail polish besides nail polish remover that you can find in a typical home? My sister took the nail polish remover and left it at a friends house and now my nails look nasty please help. i keep taking off my nail with the nail polish and its gross!

Question: What makes nail polish last longer on acrylic nails than on natural nails? I don't wear tips but I do have acrylic on my nail bed. My friend on the other hand wears her nails natural. We've noticed my polish last longer than hers. Anyone know why?
Answer: The reason is actually pretty simple. Your nails take on harsher conditions when its in its natural state. Whether it be washing your hands or shampooing your hair, the foundation is not as durable as acrylic. Your nails have natural oils which part the nail lacquer from your nail bed and even when you dont sweat at all. When applying tips, you get a smooth yet porous surface of acrylic overlaying your nail, this makes this polish last longer because it doesnt come in contact with your nail bed. While the acrylic may lift from your nails, the polish will last up until your next fill-in.
Question: Can I paint my acrylic nails and use nail polish remover later on? I got a full set of acrylic nails, but they're just the plain white tips/french manicure looking kind. I want to paint them, but I don't know if I can use nail polish remover on them when I want to take the polish off.
Can I use nail polish and nail polish remover on acrylic nails? Or will it ruin the acrylic?
Answer: Im pretty sure you can as long as the nail polish remover is non-acetone.

Question: How do I hold the nail clipper to cut my dogs nails? I have the kind of clipper that you put the nail in and squeeze the handle (Like a cigar snipper) Do I cut the nail from side to side, squeezing the nail? or from top to bottom of nail. Thanks.
Answer: Top to bottom. Actually, hold the handle underneath their paw, and cut bottom to top! ....be careful not to cut the quick!
Here's How:
Find a comfortable spot for your and your pet. Small dogs can be done in your lap, larger ones on the floor.
Put your dog in a laying down position.
Roll her onto her stomach, manually, or have her do it.
Take the first paw, it does not matter which one you start with. Using the file, clean the dirt from under her nail. Be careful!
Locate the "Quick", the vein theat travels under his nail.
Take your clippers and cut the front of the nail off, not too close to the Quick.
File the sharp edges down with the file.
Continue with the rest of the nails on that paw.
Praise your dog effusively, give her a treat.
Start on the next paw.
Repeat.

What is the reason for this? Do you have any advice on how to strengthen my nails again? Does it mean that I should not wear nail polish for an extended period of time?
Answer: The main reason why nailz become yellowish is due to the colour of the nail varnish which ent removed completely..even after using a nail polish remover...Use a base coat before applying nail varnish..this will make sure your nailz wont appear yellow after removing the nail varnish...And yh do not keep on nail varnish for a long time..coz as i mentioned above..the colour gets absorbed...

Question: Is there something other than nail hardener to put on my nails so they dont break easy? Ive always had strong long nails. They grow very fast. I am going to school soon for auto mechanics and i am looking for something to put on my nails. I have worked on cars for a few years now and amazingly i can work without them breaking often, but some do. Its usually the same ones. I am planning on cutting them halfway because honestly they are too long to begin with, but i thought maybe there was some kind of gel or something that i could get put on. Ive used nail hardeners and honestly ive had no differance. My problem is i need something that wont discolor much from the oils and stuff and also that doesnt chip off much like polish. Cause thats what happens usually and it doesnt look pretty and i dont like using nail polish remover when i can help it.
Answer: My mom used to use this stuff to make her nails strong because she has very brittle nails. You just massage it into your nails and it works great! It was originally used to treat horses hooves, but the people who applied it realized their nails were so strong from using it consistently, so they made it into a product for humans. It really does work!
I'm honestly not sure where to get it, but you might be able to find it at your local drugstore. If not, try this website: http://www.barielle.com/barielle/control/product/~category_id=29/~product_id=1001;jsessionid=11AFBC8CAEEDDBA202C58F0132EE8C40.jvm1

Answer: Use straight acetone, from any pharmacy or shops like boots, asda etc.
