Question: Nutrition help? hi, just looking for some advice of beefing up and general nutrition.
im 21 and i think i weigh about 10 and half stone to 11 stone.
as im really tall i look like a stick :D so is there anyway of beefing up my body parts as in general eating etc..

Answer: eat like a pig, lot of protein carbohydrates but not too many fats....
and weight train, it's really that easy..
dont eat alot and not weight train u will just get fat thats not nice..
Question: Nutrition Help? I RARELY eat unhealthy, like 99-100% of the time im always eating healthy, but since its around the new years, i was wondering if eating a tad unhealthy for two days will throw off all my hard work that ive accomplished.
So what should i do? after these two days i was planning on going back to my original healthy routine.
It was basically a burrito for breakfast, and spaghetti with bread and meatballs for dinner, than second day it was Menutho (mexican food) for breakfast then healthy the rest of the day.
Answer: Eating healthy foods are good but let me tell you this in my own experience i go to the gym mfw and eat what i want french fries ice cream i weigh myself every weekend and still the same,So once in a while unhealthy foods is not bad at all dont feel guilty if you eat one after all you deserve it after all those sweat in the treadmill.happy new year!!
Question: Nutrition HELP? Two questions...
1. V8 juice. Anything wrong with it? I'm very lazy. Is this as legit as it appears as far as vegtable servings. Any thoughts, bad or good?
2. I've cut down my soda intake a lot, to 2 a week. However, I drink 5-7 of Lo Carb (Blue) Monster Energy Drink 16oz. a week. Any thoughts about this product, good or bad?

While drinking a glass of V-8 juice may be more appealing and/or convenient than eating a healthy serving of vegetables, I certainly wouldn't recommend the substitution.
Although V-8 juice does provide some healthy nutrients (e.g. Vitamin C and Beta Carotene, two potent antioxidants), fruits and vegetables can provide higher concentrations of these nutrients, a larger variety of phytochemicals (nutrients that play a protective role in preventing certain diseases), and a healthy dose of dietary fiber. Many of us already struggle to eat sufficient amounts of these dietary requirements, especially fiber. In fact, the average American barely consumes half of the recommended 20-35 grams of fiber a day. Fresh fruits and vegetables can provide an average of two to three grams of fiber per serving. That's more than twice the fiber in an eight ounce serving of V-8 juice.
V-8 juice is very high in sodium. Each one-cup serving (8 ounces) of V-8 juice contains 620 mg of sodium. If you go for the more common 12 ounce serving, you'll get an even heartier dose of sodium930 mg. That's nearly 40% of the recommended Daily Value (2400 milligrams). For comparison, the sodium content of fruits and vegetables range from 0-40 mg. Yet another reason to eat, rather than drink, your veggies.
The bottom line is that research has shown that an adequate amount of vegetables (3-5 servings per day), along with a healthy diet, can prevent and/or delay the onset of some diseases (e.g. cancer and heart disease). If you just can't seem to bring yourself to eat the recommended amount of vegetables, remember that both fruits and vegetables can provide these health-preserving nutrients. I recommend you make it a personal goal to at least experiment with vegetables you may have never tried, as well as work on incorporating more of your favorite fruits into your daily diet. Doing this along with V-8 two to three times per week would be a healthier alternative.

It has less calories and less sugar making what I feel is an improved taste. The kick is still good, it just takes awhile to develop. Wish I would have gave the lo-carb version a try earlier. Don't be like me, give this 16 ounce blue monster a try
The combination of caffeine, ginseng, guarana and B-Vitamins in a 16 ounce can delivers a good kick. The only difference between the original and lo-carb version is that the energy effects took awhile to kick in (probably because of the reduced sugar).
Question: What are the nutrition facts for 2 tablespoons of sugar? I am doing a science project(making my own energy drink) and i need the nutrition facts for the drink. I can't seem to find the nutrition facts for sugar though. Help?

All you have to do is change the serving size to 1 tsp, and multiply every number by 6 to get them in terms of 2 tbsp (since 2 tbsp = 6 tsps). Hope this helped!
Question: How can you help promote good nutrition for kids at a school? I have an little group to promote good health today's and the rest of year is to promote good nutrition. I would really like to have some better ideas to have to make kids eat better.
Answer: You should try and make cooking and eating healthily fun for them. Have little sessions where they prepare their own meals once a week. It can be something like cold sandwiches but it will show them how to construct a healthy meal. You should also get them to do some projects on the benefits of good nutrition and the negative effects of an unhealthy diet.
Question: Nutrition, Vitamins and Minerals, where can I find a reliable source to know how much is too much? I am learning about nutrition, for my own interest and benefit. I have a couple of decent books, one with a table of nutritional values of foods.
There are many references to the toxicity of some vitamins and minerals if taken in excess, but nowhere can I find out how much is too much and the symptoms.

Answer: Basically, you just add the percentages of daily value and the number of grams for each nutrient (fat, protein, etc.) together to get your total nutrition. Then, go to Excel and make one that looks kinda that example...?
