Pass
Question: Does a Disneyland annual pass need to be scanned at the entrance to get a fast pass ticket? My friends and I are going to Disneyland. One of my friends can't make it to Disneyland until 12:00. We were planning to get World Of Color fast passes. If my friend gives me their annual pass to get them a fast pass ticket, will it work? Or does their annual pass need to be scanned at the entrance? We're not using their annual pass to get into the park, we already have our own ticket. I just want to know if we would be allowed to get them the fast pass ticket.
Answer: I'm sorry, you will not be able to. To obtain a World of Color FastPass, a ticket needs to be scanned into EITHER park (yes, you can scan them at DL, and have one member of your party get them at DCA).

Answer: that's what I had to do, yes. I had to swim 500 yards in a certain amount of time. 300 was freestyle i think and the other 200 was whatever stroke is your favorite.

Question: What does it mean to pass data by value and how does that compare to passing data by reference? What does it mean to pass data by value and how does that compare to passing data by reference? Explain to me why we would pass some data by value and others by reference.
Answer: if you pass data by value then you are only passing the value stored in that variable. If you then change that value, in a method for example, it doesn't change the value in the original variable.
On the other hand if you pass by reference, and you change the value, then it WILL change in the original variable.
There will be times, such as when you work with arrays, that you might want to use the value stored in a particular spot in the array and use it in a calculation. Other times you will want to change the actual value in the array itself.
hope that helps some.

Question: How can you pass a law legalizing something that is already legal? About five years ago the California legislature passed a law making it legal to breast feed a baby in public. Regardless of your view on public breast feeding, babies get hungry and they need to be fed. So what's my dumb question?
In California it was never illegal to breast feed a baby in public.
How can you pass a law legalizing something that is already legal? If something is not against the law then it is legal. Right?
Answer: Some idiots do not know how to take "yes" for an answer. I am sorry you are one of those.
Question: Has anyone used a buddy pass through jetblue? Is it better to fly in the evening or day time when using a buddy pass? My husband and I, along with my brother are planning a trip to New York in October. Is this a safe time to use a buddy pass? Answer: I agree with CrysV go early, check the times that if you were paying full price you would never book which is usually those between 12am-8am. I also call the airline and find out if the flight is a full flight or if there are a good amount of seats so I don't waste my time waiting at the airport.
Question: What made congress pass the civil rights act of 1964 and the voting rights act of 1965? I'm writing a paper for poli sci on this question. I have to make an argument for what the reasons were behind congress passing these laws. Aside from the obvious (it was the morally correct decision), I need to point out what it was that triggered congress to finally pass them. Can anyone help?
Answer: Believe me it wasn't just because of the Jim Crow laws of the south. De facto segregation existed in most of the US. Black Americans with the jobs, money and social standing couldn't buy or rent homes in middle class areas. Here in the west, new housing was "restricted" - it would not be sold to a person of color. In the south, "whites only" signs peppered all public facilities even though blacks paid some of the taxes that built and supported them. Blacks had to pay poll taxes and in some states prove their literacy before being allowed to register to vote while whites were waived. The US was truly two countries: the white one and the "colored" one.
Getting these laws passed was a long, hard struggle. Lyndon Johnson was a practioner of old style personal politics. He'd spent many years in the Senate and was senate majority leader when nominated and elected to the vice presidency. He knew where all the skeletons were buried and had used the power he had as majority leader to accumulate a ton of IOUs. He'd done enough "favors" to have a huge bankroll of political capital. He was not past using his political clout when it needed to be used. When these bills came up for votes, he called in those IOUs and used his clout to basically bully and shove the votes to the "yea" side. He knew that passing these bills would spell the end of the Dems Southern alliance. He knew it would mean the end of any political influence he had in Congress but he did it anyway. If you want specifics, you're going to have to dig for them.
You also have to remember that the Dems and Repubs in the 1960s each consisted of conservative, moderate and liberal blocks. If you look at the voting records of these bills, you'll see both Dems and Repubs on the for and on the against sides. The US wasn't as politically polarized as it is today. And politics was personal, not ideological.
Question: How do I pass my Political Science 101 class? Must I eat, breath and live the thing I fear most? Do I have to dedicate my entire exsistance in order to pass this god forsaken class in order to become a junior in college?
Must I shave my head, eat only figs and candied yams? And what kind of tea does a good exam passer drink? Must I go around in a buddist robe, and turn off my tv for the entire semester? Is there really anything else I can do to pass this mo fo?
Should I take 5 hot baths a day? And read my Janda book until 1 am each day?
Answer: Yeah that class is boring to me too. So is Mass Comm 101. But nothing is more boring and dreadful than......math. Do what it takes dude, do what it takes. It will be over in December-that's not that long. Ok it is. I feel sorry for us : > )

Question: How do people pass smog with aftermarket turbos installed? How do you even pass smog if you're not carb or emissions legal? Lots of people have illegal turbo kits so they must pass somehow. I don't think they would go through the trouble of removing it and then re-installing it.
Answer: If you can show proof that the units are sold legally in California and possess an EO number, (EO stands for Executive Order- this is the number given to the product by the government certifying that it is emissions legal) then you shouldn't have a problem. Most manufactures of aftermarket exhaust or emission components will stamp this number on the actual unit or they will print in the units manual, catalog or some other paperwork which pertains directly to the component in question. You will have to present this number to the smog station where the car is being tested.
It's either this method or... the removal and installation method (which because of the nature of work I am in, I can not recommend - but it's do-able).
Question: How do i pass music from my computer to a external hardrive ? Im trying to pass music from my computer to an external hardrive i recently bought. The only problem is i dont want the music to be in folders when i pass them. i want them to be by track. But this takes way too long because i would have to open the folder & then take the songs from there. Is there an easier & faster alternative to this?
Answer: You could run a search on your computer and search for music files (ex. mp3, flac.....) and then drag and drop from there.
Question: How do I pass to someone without getting intercepted in basketball? Ok every time I play in a scrimmage, I get pressured and I pass to someone who is not too open, and it gets stolen. It's really embarassing! I'm pretty good, but I just can't look around too see who open. I always think that someone will steal it before I pass. I'm trying out for my school team, but I need to improve. There is one more tryout day on Wednesday so please help!
Answer: Don't pressure yourself, i know how it feels because i've done it to. If u get that feeling just try to go close to teammate and then pass it, and also DON"T LOB THE PASS! 3 types to passing; bounce pass, chest pass, and overhead pass --> work on those!
Question: How does the Eurail youth select pass work with night trains? On our study abroad, some friends and I were planning on taking the train to some other countries outside of where we're staying. We are buying Eurail youth selectpasses for our program and were thinking of adding our extra trips onto the pass fee.
How does taking the night train work when you have the pass we're getting? Is there an extra fee for the night train? We were wondering if we could save money from staying in hostels by just using our passes for the night train.
Thanks!
Answer: Only the ride itself is included in the eurail pass. In most countries/on most trains you would have to pay reservation fees (and additional fees if you want to ride in a couchette or sleeper). See http://www.eurail.com/eurail-faq-costs-night-train for details.
Question: What does a press pass get you access to at a professional sporting event? I am 17 and I write for a local paper, and my editor said he could get me a press pass to a Warriors game. Does that get me into the locker room to interview players? I know it gets me into the game for free and hopefully free parking, but what other perks does the pass include?
Answer: Usually teams will have different levels of press passes, depending on how high-profile the team and sport are. With the NBA, they may be a bit more restrictive, but not necessarily.
Almost all press passes give you access to the press box/press row for the game. Some will also give you court or field access before and after, some will give you locker room access, and some will give you virtually all access. Talk with your editor; he'll have a better idea of what access the Warriors are willing to grant you and your paper, assuming he's been able to get credentials from the Warriors in the past.
Double-check to make sure on the free parking - teams don't always include a parking pass, and your company should pick it up if the team doesn't.
