Pills
Question: pills............? okay i started taking pills last month my doctor said that my husband doesnt have to use any condom after 10 days i started taking pills
so we did that.
is it okay? will i get pregnant?coz i dont want to
Answer: If you're still worried about it, then keep using condoms until you're comfortable otherwise. But, your doctor should know what they're talking about when they told you the timeline. If you're unsure either call the doctor or read the packet that came with the pills. And there's still always a chance of getting pregnant, nothing is 100%.
Question: Does taking pills without a glass of water effect the effectiveness of the pill? I take several medications and I often take them dry, or without using water to swallow them. Does this method of taking pills undermine their effects? Is it better to wash your pills down with a glass of water, or does it not really matter?
Answer: most pills work at maximum efficiency with two or three 8 ounce glasses of water. The reason for this is when the medication is dissolved in the water, it is easier for your body to digest and several pills require a large amount of hydratioin to effectively work.
Question: How dangerous is missing 3 pills in the middle of your cycle? If your contraceptive pill has always worked very well for you (eg, your periods always come exactly on time and are consistent). And you have previously been a whole month off the pill without getting pregnant. Does that mean that chances of getting pregnant after skipping 3 pills in the middle of the month (which is supposed to be the least dangerous time to miss pills - the first week is the most dangerous) are pretty slim?
Answer: Any missed doses of an oral contraceptive reduce the 97% chance that they will prevent pregnancy. Consult with your MD if you are concerned.
GOOD LUCK.
Question: What pills can I take to slow down period bleeding? Ibuprofen, advil..?
I've taken Ibuprofen for a long time, and I'm not suppose to take it for more than ten days, but I haven't taken that much. Today I took about six of them and that didn't really help my bleeding that much- or at least not noticeable.
I don't have anything birth control pills nor do I want them. I just want the name of the pill that I can take. We have a large selection of them and if we don't I'm sure I can go buy some tomorrow.
Thanks.
Answer: Your best bet is to get on birth control pills when i wasnt on them i would bleed heavy for 5 days now that im on them i have light periods and they last 2-3 days! The pills work wonders! Take some Aleve it works for the cramps! Ibuprofen, tylenol any pain meds like that are just makes your blood thin and thats why you bleed more i found that out the hard way too! Good Luck!
Question: How effective are pills completely dissolved in water? I was just wondering if pills, for example Tylenol, instead of taken instantly with water, let dissolve and then drunk (including residue etc) is as effective or less than taking the pill solid?
And also, does this apply for all pills?
Answer: I believe the pill will still have the same effectiveness, as all the ingredients are still present. However, medicines are made in pill form so your body can absorb them in your digestive tract. If you drink a dissolved pill, you are probably losing some of the active ingredient in your mouth, reducing its potency.
Not to mention it would probably taste awful.
Question: What are common pills they give you after having your wisdom teeth removed? Don't worry I'm not going to abuse. I'm having one side of my mouth(top and bottom) removed on Monday. Im 14 years old and was wondering what pills i may be receiving. I don't really like taking pills, and I am still debating if im going to at all. What are the common pills the dentists give to their patients?
Answer: Just JACKED UP PAIN PILLS, nothing much more, unless something goes wrong, but no chance of that really happening.

Question: Can I start my next active pills before my sugar pills are gone? I've been on birth control for a month and am now on my sugar pills (the 4th one -- still no period, though.) Is it safe to start next month's pack of active pills now instead of waiting until my sugar pills are gone? And if so, will this reduce the chance of pregnancy?
Answer: No take all of your sugar pills and wait to take the active pills when all of the sugar pills are gone. It's normal for it to be irregular if you've only been on it for a month your body is still getting used to the bc. You don't want to mess anything up.
Question: Do biotin pills really work to make your hair grow? I want my hair to grow faster and I heard that biotin pills can make your hair grow 1 1/2 inches a month. Is this true? Are they really broken up birth control pills?
Answer: Some people disagree that Biotin doesn't work for growth and only makes hair healthier but Biotin is necessary for cell growth which improves hair, nail and skin. About how much growth, that would depend on your deficiency (if any) of biotin in your body and how well the intake of Biotin is being absorbed. Remember that if your taking medications or OTC medications you need to wait at least 2 hours before taking the vitamin or it will not be absorbed.
I take Biotin tablets that carry 5000ug (5mg) from Nature's Bounty. They even sell them in capsules that are easier to swallow. Getting 5,000ug per day equals 1,667% of daily value so that's a LOT. I've been taking biotin for a couple of months and my hair grows pretty fast and healthy BUT not strong as I wanted so keep in mind that you will have to cut one inch of hair every two months if you want to keep the hair strong. To be honest, I saw results by the second month and after that my hair grows one inch per month.
And no is not a broken birt control pill. Biotin is like any other vitamin and it is also known and Vitamin H or B. Good Luck!
Question: How do women take pills to prevent pregnancy? I mean when girls do sex and they don’t want to get pregnant, what do they need to do? If they wanna use pills, do they have to eat one pill after each sex or how does pill work out? Please explain.
Answer: There are a few different types of pill for women who want to prevent conception. The most commonly used is the Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill, which contains oestrogen with progesterone. Oestrogen is the hormone in your reproductive system which determines the thickness of the wall of the uterus (or womb). Progesterone is responsible for creating the various hormones which accompany the onset of pregnancy. These two hormones taken in specific doses can prevent pregnancy
There are other pills such as the Minipill ("Progesterone-Only Pill"). The effectiveness of these is far more dependent upon when they are taken; punctuality is key for it to work. They thicken the cervical mucus and make it too hard for semen to penetrate (as opposed to COCP which thins the lining of the womb).
Then there is the Emergency Contraceptive Pill, which is the same as the COCP but in higher doses for immediate results.
I'm on the Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill, have been for three years! It's great. I've been really good for taking it and it in turn has been really good for not getting me knocked up! If it doesn't work, it is undoubtedly through negligence or ignorance because you don't know how it works. It's ok to forget one pill so long as you take it within the 24 hour period you forgot it during. If you want optimum efficacy, you should take the pill within a two hour stretch in the day (ie if you take it at 3 o'clock today you should take it tomorrow before 5 o'clock but after 1 o'clock).
Question: Do the pills that doctors give you to start your period cause weight gain? I haven't had my period in 4 months, and I think my doctor is going to give me the pills that cause your period to start. They aren't birth control, they are just a temporary pill. Do they cause weight gian?
Answer: Anything that messes with your hormones can cause weight gain.
You should read a book called You Are What You Eat by Gillian Mc Keith so you can get your hormones straighted out naturally plus you lose weight and feel great. Its amazing how certain foods will make you all better in 11 weeks.
I lost 70 lbs in 11 weeks and I have kept it off.
Question: How many pills of penicilin do i take if I'm getting my wisdom teeth extracted? My dental surgeon told me to take 2 pills the night before and 2 pills the morning of surgery. But on the label of the penicillin it says 1 every 6 hours.
Answer: I didn't take any of mine..I'm still around.
Question: Should I start my Phentermine pills again today? I had cyst removal surgery like two weeks ago. I have been on pain pills and was told by one of the nurses at my doctor's office that I should not mix my diet pills with my pain pills, she told me to wait off on the diet pills until I finished my pain pills. I took my last pain pill yesterday around 1:00pm, and I am wanting to start back on my phentermine pills today, Monday. Do you think it would be okay? Also, I have a food question, when I take my diet(Adipex) pill, is it okay to eat light fat free ice cream every once in a while?
Answer: Talk to your doc, phen can have really bad side effects.
For me acomplia has been the best. phentermine also showed good results, but i started to get addicted and it had way too nasty side effects.
happy not to have any sides from acomplia so far.
I have lost 34 pounds of fat in 7.5 months, and 3 sizes.
Quite happy with the results.

Question: What would be an easy way to swallow pills? I have to take 10 pills with water and water only. The pills are the hugest pills that i have ever seen and they are very hard to swallow. Does anybody know an easy way to take pills without gaging? It would be easier to take the pills with juice or milk but i'm not allowed to.
Answer: Try drinking your water from a bottle instead of a glass.
Will open your throat and make it easier to swallow the pill. Also reduces the tendency to gag. Take a drink from a soda-pop/water bottle, keeping contact between the bottle and the lips by pursing the lips and using a sucking motion. I've found that you don't have to cover the entire lip of the bottle. Give it a try with an M&M first.
For capsules, an earlier answer is correct. Look at your feet & swallow. The capsule will float to the back of your throat.

Question: How quickly do birth control pills work? I just started taking birth contol pills, so I'm still in the first package, just starting week four. I am sexually active with my boyfriend, and was just wondering if the birth control pills are effective in the first package, or if it takes a few sets of pills to really work. Any advice/help is appreciated.
Answer: when i got birth control they said 7 days but i've also heard it can take up to a month or three to work. i waited the 7 days and now i'm at the end of my 3rd month of bc and everything's good.
Question: What birth control pills are best to use to help regulate periods? Hi im 17 tears old and i am having irregular periods for over a years now and im not sexually active. I was told that birth control pills can help regulate my menstrual cycle. However i found out that there is more than 1 type of pills (combination pill, progrestin-only pill) maybe more, not sure. My problem is what type of pill would suit me best to help with my issue??
For my second question, would my period stop or become irregular again if i stop taking the pills??
Answer: There are several combination type oral contraceptives that would very likely be effective for you. All you have to do is go to the clinic and there are great professionals who are taught which one is best for each individual. Just tell them what your particular problems and concerns are and they will prescribe the best product. Sometimes you may have to go through a couple different types, since everyone can react differently to the pill. Good Luck!
Question: What if i start taking my birth control pills the day i start my period ? I started my period today and Im also supposed to start taking my birth control pills today. The 28 day package i got has a special type (different color and everything) of pill you are supposed to take the week you are on your period. But should I start taking the normal pills since its my first week on birth control, or the pills for when you are supposed to be on your period ?
Answer: Very good question.
You should start with the first pill. It has a smaller ammount of birth control in it to get your body regulated. Larger ammounts are increased by the day. So the first pill hun...this will ensure the pill to work properly.
Hope this helps :)
