Raw Juice Therapy

Question: weight problem is now affecting my health. what can i do? (note, eating problems)? i have always been quite heavy, if you saw my parents you'd know why. but the thing is ive been going to the doctors for some time now. i have cognitive behavioural therapy for a food and insect phobia i have always suffered from. because of the techniques i have been taught, i now can eat: satsumas celery carrot apple (all raw, havent got round to eating cooked food yet, i dont get enough nutrition as it is so cooking it woldnt do me any favours.) i also eat: tomato soup with no lumps in it bread quorn pasta mild cheese pizza porridge =z (working on that one, dont like it but am force feeding myself.) despite that diet i am over weight. i am 18yrs old, female, 5 foot 1 inch and last time i weighed myself i was 13stone something (sorry i cant be more specific) the doctors said the reason why i am overweight is because im anaemic and because i feel tired i am used to substituting things for sugar. for 16yrs i have lived off sugary cereals, bread, crisps and plain pasta, on its own with nothing on it. to wake myself up i have always craved sweets and fizzy drinks, they, and all the stodgy white bread have contributed to my weight. i am also asthmatic, and i got very worried recently. i havent used my inhaler for 2 years but last week i realised i was out of breath running up the stairs. i used my inhaler for the first time in two years then and that night as well. i havent been thinking about it at all but i have problems sleeping because of my weight. and now, because i can finally eat some fruit and veggies i want to really do something, because when i feel my chest tightening and i have to find my inhaler i get scared which then brings on panic attacks. i want to know what to do. i know i should eat five a day, but does that mean i should eat an apple, 2 satsumas (2makes one serving) 3 celery sticks (3 makes one serving) a carrot and a bowl of tomato soup every day until i work on my next 'target (which will be either spinach or another leaf) or should i also count fruit juice as a five a day? i usually make sure i only drink water throughout the day and a cuppa tea in the morning, but i can always drink fruit juice, its one of my 'likables'. i also know that the other 3 important things are, exercise, hydration and sleep. i have trouble wit the sleep part because of my diet and i am NOT a morning person, i should be alright with hydration though, i usually drink water throughout the day, maybe i get 750mls. should i drink more? i have problems with the exercise part. i cant run anymore, let alone go up the stairs without puffing. what kind of exercise should i do and does the wii count? we have wii fitness but i dont know whether it actually works, i just want to gain a little confidence indoors before i unleash my flab onto the world.... haha, sorry i had no idea how to say that nicely. what kind of exercise should i do, for how long and how often? im sorry there are so many questins, and that this is so long, but thank you to those who do read it. =] oh yes i am from the UK, shall take a look at that website to se it. thanks =]

Answer: Use your inhaler when you need it. Exercise for at least an hour a day. Actually, the regulations have changed from doing 5 a day. You sound like you aren't American, but you can still use mypyramid.gov to see a specific diet plan for you. It's a matter of cups of fruits and vegs now. Drink a lot of water. I drink at least 2 liters a day. Talk to your doctor about your sleep issues. Yes, the Wii does count and it's a great way for you to start. It won't get you all the way down to 7 stone or anything but it's a good way to start incorporating exercise into your daily routine. You'll move on to harder things when you're ready.
