Re-hydrate
Question: How to re-hydrate dried terracotta clay? Hello, I improperly stored some terracotta clay and now it's hardly malleable. Is there a way to re-hydrate it?
Answer: if it is just past malleable you can try storing it in a plastic bag. Put bag into a bucket and you pour a cup or two of water into the bag.
If it is really hard the best way is to let it dry all way out. Break it up into pieces and put into bucket completely covered with water. Wait like a day. Pour off superfluous water. Then put clay onto plaster bat or pieces of dry wall. The dry plaster will absorb the excess water.
Question: How do elite boxers dehyrate and re-hydrate their bodies for weigh-in so quickly? What are the techniques for dehydrating and re-hydrating ones body in preparation for a weigh-in. How long is the process?
Have there been any boxers who were able to lose over 10kg in water-weight for weigh in, and then put it all back on within the 24-odd hour time frame?
How does the dehydration affect ones performance in the ring?
Do MMA fighters, Muay Thai, or wrestlers do this as well, or is it predominantly a boxing thing?
Answer: well as a boxer when we weigh in, depending on how much weight you have on u, you would try to sweat it out as much as u can by putting a sauna suit on and trying to go to the bathroom as much as possible. you dont really want to run or work out because u dont want to be more tired than you already are. after the weigh ins the most common thing we drink is an iv like fluid that u can get from any walgreens.
i dont know if there have been boxers that were able to lose that much weight but most time they go up abt 10 to 12 lb.
it would have a big affect. mainly just really tired so obviouly you arent able to move, think, n reacted as fast. in other words youll probably come into a fight at 70% depending on how dehydrated u are
Question: How can I re-hydrate jerky? I made turkey jerky and slept through the buzzer to shut it off. So, it stayed in the dehydrater for an extra hourish. It came out very brittle. Is there anyway to re-hydrate it? I don't want to add any kind of liquid sauce (i.e.; soy sauce) because the flavor is just right. Btw - it isn't an issue with it being turkey instead of ground beef. Question: What is the Fastest way to Re-Hydrate yourself? Other than drinking massive amounts of water, what is the fastest? Thank You
Answer: You need to drink water, but not in large quantities. The body will use what it wants to for hydration and you'll piss the rest away. To never have a hydration problem in the first place drink water all day long. Try for at least a gallon a day...not that hard to do in the 17 hrs you're likely awake.

Answer: I find that Olive Oil is really good for hydrating hair. You can pretty much substitute your conditioner once a week with Olive Oil. This is what I did:
1. After shampooing, wring out the excess water in your hair, and towel dry slightly.
2. Put a quarter size amount of Olive Oil in your palm, and work it through your hair.
3. Put enough Olive Oil into your hair until it feels saturated.
4. If your hair is long, tie it up into a bun and then cover your hair with a shower cap.
5. Let the Olive Oil sit in your hair for about 10-15 minutes.
6. Wash out the Olive Oil and shampoo your hair once more to make sure all the oil is out.
This method should give you cheap but shiny results :)

Question: My sculpey (original Oven bake) clay is dry. Is there a way to re-hydrate it? Not completely dry, but just enough so that it is impossible to shape it, for it crumbles and breaks.
Answer: Actually there are a few ways to rehydrate your clay.
-one add a tiny drop of vegetable oil and mix it into the clay. I recommend wearing gloves because it can get a bit messy which is why you should only use a teeny tiny bit.
-Sculpey and most brands of clays sell a clay softener. It's a clear oil to mix into the clay but only use a teeny amount. It goes a long way.
-Try mixing a bit of soft translucent clay into it. This will add more plasticizer but it might alter the color after baking.
Hope this helps ^_^

Question: How can i re-hydrate my body without the side effects of bloating or flooding my system?
I will not be able to drink as much water as everyone else says without affecting my creatinine levels and i need those at a normal level. I take drug tests and if those are low then i get a positive drug test, low creatinine levels say I flooded my system or 'Flushed' it of all chemicals that arent supposed to be there so are there any other ways to replenish my hydration?
Answer: You know the saying: "Drink plenty of water!" to rehydrate the body.
Water isn't the only thing that is need to rehydrate the body. It's fluids that have electrolytes in them, sodium, sugar, i.e. watered down fruit juice. Gatorade is an excellent source drink for rehydration process. The drink is intended to rehydrate and to replenish the carbohydrates (in the form of sugars sucrose and glucose) and electrolytes (sodium and potassium salts) depleted during aerobic exercise. It is also a great source to get rid of diarrhea.
But there are a few drinks you should avoid--coffee, tea, soda or any other caffeinated drinks, and of course alcohol. These drinks are called diuretics and will dehydrate you faster.
Rehydration is the replenishment of water and electrolytes lost through dehydration. However, too much intake of any fluids in a given short time will always cause bloating; whether it be water or Gatorade or any other form of liquids. Bloating may have several causes, the most common being too much accumulation of liquids. So, drink responsibly to avoid bloating.
