Monday - Run .10 mile sprints 5 times. Cool down between each. Jog/speed walk .5 mile.
Tuesday - Ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. Then do 35 of each.
Sit ups
Crunches
Bicycle Sit ups
Wednesday - Take off and let your body heal.
Thursday - Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.
Friday - Weight Training. Work on your upper boddy and lower body.
Saturday - Take off.
Lose 10 pounds in 3 days, safely
Ok, I thought this was pretty cool, only bad thing is it has to be followed exactly, and its considered a safe diet..meaning that its perfectly healthy for you
This diet was taken from Quick Weight Loss Diets and must be followed exactly. If you adhere to this diet, the Miami Heart Institute claims you can lose 10 lbs in 3 days, or 40 lbs in a month. Do not vary or substitute any below food. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasoning is allowed. Where no quantity is given, there are no restrictions other than common sense.
This diet is to be followed three days at a time. After 3 days of dieting you can eat normal food, just don’t overdo it. After 4 days, start on the 3-day diet again.
This is a safe diet. AND NO SNACKING!

Question: How did you keep up your pregnancy diet in the summer heat? I have been lucky to have spent most my pregnancy in the winter, but the down side is the last couple of weeks of pregnancy has been and will be in extreme heat. The worst part is my air conditioning is beinf fixed before the baby arrives, so I am only using house fans. For those who have already been through a summer pregnancy, how did you keep up your diet? did it affect it? I cant seem to eat anything but fruit anymore, it is just way to hot!! Any advice would be great, thanks!!!
Answer: First, congratulations! Second, I live in a year round hot climate and all I ate was fruit and water the last couple of months. Just take your prenatal pills drink lots of water and you should be ok. I also ate yogurt and smoothies. The babies is well formed already and if your taking your pills everyting will be fine, if you get scared talk to your Doctor, you can also get those meal replacement drinks, they are very high in calories. Good luck.
Question: Best way to lose 20lbs over the summer without changing diet? I want to lose 20lbs over the summer. I'm willing to excersize, and want to drop fat around my thighs, tummy, hips, and butt. I will do anything, but I'm already on a diet and won't change it because its O.K. (south beach diet) So What excersizes can I do to lose the weight. Also, I checked google for excersises, and couldn't find many, if you do find one, please write how to do it. I refuse to do crunches/ situps, they screw up bodies, and digestive tracks, so don't type in crunches/ situps, i won't do them. I am a 14 year old girl
I know I spelled exercise wrong, it was an accident
Answer: Go to www.shape.com. On the left side, there is a column.
scroll down to "find a workout" There are lots of options, and different parts of your body to "work" (your problem areas!) Shape has an amazing website!!!! they also provide good workout playlists
Question: girlfriend is going on a diet for summer? yes. we have all heard it said by every single girl we have ever known. they all want to diet. so my girlfriend wants to lose weight for summer...shes 5 ft 2 and about ...45 kg ( not sure how much tht is in stone ) so she wants to lose a bit. i go to the gym but i am not certain how much weight she would need to lose a week to still be healthy...im not looking for some extreme diet. so how much should she be losing a month in pounds please?
Answer: My god, 45 kilograms is 99 pounds, she DOESNT need to lose weight or else she'll get deathly sick and maybe die. But she can eat healthier. And exersize if she wants to tone.
Question: What's the best Diet Plan for a Summer body? I am 5'7 and 125 pounds but I am very uncomfortable with my stomach and lower back area. Any ideas on the best Diet Plan before Summer break? Help!
Answer: You are not overweight, I suggest joining a gym and toning for summer
Question: Need a good work out routine/diet to look good for the summer.? I'm trying to get into good shape for the summer and the ladies of course. I'm currently 16, 6'2'' and weigh about 180. I don't have much muscle as of now but I've decided enough is enough. I've started doing crunches, reverse crunches, plank and pushups every night. But I don't really know if that's the best routine nor do I know what I should be eating in my diet. Any friendly advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Answer: go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

Question: Some good diet tips to get In shape for summer? I want to be in shape for summer and it is now the middle of febuary. What are some good unknown diet secrets? What are good ways to get a flat stomach? Some tips about what to eat and how often? I need good secrets that are not very common that work. Thanks please provide as much information as you can. :)
Answer: don't drink your calories, only drink ice water. drink fish at least once a week (salmon, sardines, tuna) eat lots of bananas, apples, oranges, grapes. and eat lots of veggies. look on google for healthy and yummy recipes. when i'm just sitting around i take a big breath in and when i exhale i tighten my stomach muscles, try to push my bellybutton to my spine, and closelike a clam. this a great way to tone abs while just sitting around. try jogging everyday, if you walk an hour a day for a year you could lose up to 35 lbs, so do lots of walking and jogging. do situps whenever you watch tv for all the commercials. good luck :)
Question: What is your diet tip to beat the heat this summer? I like to drink plenty of water. A colleague of mine swears by snacking on plenty of fruits. What diet helps you keep cool? Leave us your tip to beat the heat this summer.
Answer: Well i keep myself cool by drinking lots of cold water, lemon juice, butter milk with a pinch of salt & few chopped fresh coriander leaves, sometime eating cucumber, onion, tomato mixed salad with a few pinch of salt, lemon juice, & coriander leaves.
I don't eat any hot stuff (samosa, bhature, etc)during summer because it makes the body feel more hot & heat. Instead eat any fruit salad.
Wash your face with chill water whenever possible or 2-3 times per day. It makes you feel good and active & you won't be feeling much heat.
Note: Can have fresh juice but it will only sooth for few minutes and later urge for more. In summer,
eating any fruit or else will not give much satisfaction than drinking.
Good luck.
Question: What is a good diet/exercise i can do during the summer? I'm not in really good shape and don't have enough time during the school year to exercise. I am about 5 foot 3 inches and 147 lbs. I would like to lose 15 - 25 pounds. I do not have access to exercise equipment except for a treadmill and 5 lb weights. What is a good exercise and diet I can use for the whole summer? Also can I lose 15-25 lbs in 3 months?
Answer: Hmm, I suggest doing 20 minutes of cardio (jogging, treadmill) at least 2 times a week, maybe more.
Lift those 5 lb weights. Do 3 sets of 20 on a day when nothing much is going on (either that or about 3 times a week)
Jump rope. Sound childish? Ever see a chubby professional rope skipper? Didn't think so. It works!
Push ups. 3 sets of 5 but increase it a little bit every week.
On top of all this, make sure to eat good, healthy protein. A quick search on google.com is all you need to find out what foods are good for you when losing weight.
Question: I would like to try a vegetarian diet for the summer but I have no ideal where to start. What are the basics? We raise a garden so I have a large selection of fresh veggies to choose from. I am always tired & sluggish so I was hoping making a switch to a healthier diet would help & with having the garden, vegetarian seems to be the best choice. Anyone with any guidelines to go by? Also, any tricks for learning to go without the red meats? I love sirloin tips w/ mushrooms & onions!
Answer: Hello! Congratulations on your decision to switch to vegetarianism!
Being a vegetarian doesn't have any specific guidelines, besides not eating meat. Some vegetarians are stricter then others, it is all personal choice. For example, some vegetarians will eat pizza with meat on it, but they will pick of the meat. Others find that that isn't for them. Basically, vegetarians create their own guidelines. The only one to stick by, to call yourself a vegetarian, is to not eat meat.
Going without red meats.. hmm. I would say, take it in steps. For example, one week give up one kind of meat. The next week, give up a new type of meat. Or, you could take it by animal. One week, give up any meat from cows. The next week, give up any meat from pigs. Although, for some people, it is easier to just STOP.
It takes around 21 days to get over a craving. So, once you stop eating meat, or a certain type of meat, go one month without eating it. Give yourself one month, and then go from there.
For any meat you're craving, there are substitutes! One great brand is Morning Star. Their website is listed below, in the sources, and it also has some recipes on the site!
If you search online, you will be able to find thousands of vegetarian recipes, including some of your favorite non-meat foods! Not to mention, meat substitutes!
I think I'm starting to repeat myself now, but anyways. Give it one month, and the very least. I believe that you can do it! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
Question: It's nearly April, only a few months till summer. Question is how is your diet going? I started a calorie controlled diet back in January and am losing weight very slowly. Am 12 aiming for a size 10 by summer, getting there but really slowly.
Answer: It´s a Monday, and I always start a diet on Monday.
My eating habits are out of control. We went to the movies the other night, and I had popcorn, chocolate, and other sweets, so today is another day.
My thing though is exercise. I haven´t done it regularly for a year, so I´m starting out slow.
Best wishes to you though-it sounds like you are doing really, really well!
Question: Does Pepsi Summer Mix come in diet? It's SOOOOO good, but I can't have those extra calories all the time! If there's such a thing as Diet Pepsi Summer Mix (with the tropical fruit flavor), I'd love to know about it. Thanks!
Answer: No. Not according to PepsiCo.
Question: Do you diet every year before summer? Its just ive been chatting to the girls on campus and they all are on some sort of crash diet before the december summer holidays in South Africa. Then most of them will end up looking not so fab in that bikini after all. Anyways, if you are, what diet do you do before summer?
Answer: Dieting is so simple - people make it too complicated, seriously. It also shouldn't be something that you do just before swimsuit season, it should be year round.
I just cut down on everything by about 1/3. Simple.
No points, no weird dietary restrictions, no imbalances. I don't stop eating anything, I don't with-hold any foods (aside from soft drinks, but that's an obvious one, NO ONE should be drinking them anyway), and just cut down on portions.
It's easy. I'm losing about 5 lbs a month. Not too fast, not too slow.
Question: I want to start a diet this summer; What are some tips? I want to lose about 45 pounds this summer...
I weigh about 175...So I want to weigh about 130...
How long will I have to go on this diet?
I want to also start on next Friday...
Answer: CARDINAL RULE OF "DIETING": Any eating or exercise plan that you intend to do for just a while until you lose the weight you want to lose is doomed to fail. Why? Simple. There are two reasons you weigh more than you want to: (1) You don't exercise enough, and (2) Your don't eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Doesn't mean your lazy or a glutton; it simply means you have learned bad habits over time. If you put those bad habits on hold until you lose weight, you'll gain it all right back -- usually with interest -- once you stop your "diet." The key is to make permanent changes in your eating and exercise habits. Do a temporary diet and you'll be forever on the weight-loss/weight-gain roller coaster. Change the way you eat and exercise permanently and you'll be slim and trim for life.
Here are a few tips:
1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if it’s just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Don’t say you don’t have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you’re worth it, right?
2. Walk as much as you want, but don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat. Walking burns almost as many calories per hour as jogging (with less pounding on your joints), so walking is the preferred fat-burner. The more you walk, the more fat you'll burn, but brisk walks as short as 10 minutes have been shown to have a positive effect. So sneak in brisk walks whenever you can, and try to devote at least 30 minutes a day six times a week to brisk walking.
3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. That’ll really help you “tone up.” Limit strength training to three times a week, and never do strength training two days in a row. You may also want to add abdominal exercises. They don't burn many calories, but they tone up your midsection and they'll eventually give you that "suck in your gut" look 24/7 if you do them on a regular basis.
4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). That’s not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.
5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. It kick-starts your metabolism. Studies have shown that people who skip breakfast are 450% more likely to be overweight than those who eat breakfast every day.
6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. If you eat too much at one sitting, your body stores the extra calories as fat. Go too long between meals and your metabolism slows down. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because you’re constantly digesting food.
7. Avoid these as much as possible:
-- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)
-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)
-- Fast food
-- Junk food
-- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes
-- The deadly C’s (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)
8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:
-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)
-- Beans/Legumes
-- Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)
-- Dairy products (as long as they’re low-fat or non-fat)
-- Eggs
-- Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)
-- Olive oil
-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in “berry” is a winner)
-- Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)
-- Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)
9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day – just don’t overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one “cheat meal” every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you don’t gorge yourself. That’ll help keep you from feeling deprived and it’ll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.
Good luck!
“The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.”
