Summer Tips
Question: Summer TIPS!!? Ok, so summer's comming!! I live in a FREEZING place and I'm going to go to a beach in Mexico. Well, I need beauty tips from head-to-toe, seriously. Can you help me?? i give thumbs up for all the answers :) Also, for sexy feet??? Do you know any website/tips for like skin treatments at home??
I don't speak the language here, so it has to be home-made. Thank you!!
Answer: Wear sunblock everyday. If you want to add a little color to your bod before you hit the beach, use a self-tanner, or spend a LITTLE time in a tanning booth (1 or 2 sessions). Tone up a bit, buy some cute sunglasses, head scarves, hats and sandals. Buy one of those foot scrubby things, some foot scrub, and nail polish and give yourself a pedicure. Enjoy the beach!

Question: What are some good summer training tips for volleyball? I start my season in a few months and I'm going to be working and I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips for summer training that I could do around working and what not.
Answer: I had the same problem a few years ago. Here are some ideas.
1. Enroll in a skills camp.
2. Jog to work and home *If it is close*
3. Swimming laps can increase strength training by allowing for resistance.
4. If you own a volleyball, find a wall with a bit of space. Then mark a place on the wall and forearm pass the ball to the same spot a set number of times. When your arms get worn, move to overhand or setting to the spot on the wall.
5. You can also do this with serveing. Practice tossing the ball and letting it drop right off your serveing arms foot.
6. And hitting, toss the ball to yourself, and hit it down about a foot away from the wall. It will bounce off the ground, then the wall and come back to you. Practice your ball control by hitting the ball off the bounce back. See how long you can keep it going.
7. Look into jump training. It is easy to do. About 30 minutes 3 days a week is what it would take. Do a series of jumps to increase your vert.
8. Weight training is also an easy way to stay fit.
9. You can always do push-ups and sit-ups. In volleyball the abs are essential to a powerful hitter, and the arms to a setter.
Question: Do you have tips for dogs during the summer? I saw this posted on another forum. It's some good information about dogs in hot cars: http://www.mydogiscool.com/
What are your summer dog tips that you'd like to share with others?
Answer: 1. Never leave your dog in hot car. The temperature can climb well over 120 degrees and can kill your dog in a matter of minutes. It's better if they stay home on hot days.
2. Keep your dog on heartworm preventative. With all the rain in the summer, it's perfect breeding grounds for mosquitoes and all it takes is one bite from an infected mosquito to infect your dog with heartworms.
3. Buy a kiddie swimming pool for your dog. Most dogs would love to splash around on a hot day.
4. Make sure your dog has access to water at all times. Dogs can dehydrate very easily in hot weather. Throw in some ice cubes for good measure.
5. Walk your dog in the early morning or in the late evening to prevent your dog from getting heat exhaustion and blistering on your dogs feet. Cement and tar become unbearably hot in the summertime.
6. If you have an outside dog, make sure he has a shady place to retreat to.
7. Be aware of your dogs body language and appetite. He may be trying to tell you something.
8. Check with a groomer before shaving your dog. Even though you may think it will keep him cooler, many dogs, especially dogs with double coats, use their coats to protect them from the heat.
9. If your dog is going to be out in the sun for a prolonged period of time, don't forget the sunscreen! Dogs can get melanoma/skin cancer and need protection, too. Especially on their ears and nose.
Question: I want to lose 30lbs over the summer, any tips? I am 13 years old, still young and i weigh 150lbs. I am 5'6 and i want to become at least 120lbs. I am planning to do it over the summer. Unfortunately i do not like vegetables or fruits, but i am not addicted to food and temptation. I have control over my urge to the point where i can starve myself. I cut back on my intake of food, but sometimes my parents take me out to eat and i gain like 5lbs. Any easy exercises and food tips i can do like once a day over the 3 months i have so i will be 120 lbs?
Answer: Thats the same plan I have over my summer! Im going to ride my bike alot, eat less, and stay away from jumk foods. That is how I lost some of my weight last summer. Unfortunally, I was stupid to think I could get off the diet and I gained more over the winter. Dont give up on it! Best of Luck!!! :):):)

Thanks, we need all the help we can get!

Question: How do I convince my dad to let me get pink or blue tips over summer.? I don't know what is so bad about dying my hair over summer.
Im 14..almost 15. I want to get either pink, blue or purple tips..of my hair. I know that I'm going to get a haircut before school starts anyways so It will just be cut off. I really want to get it over summer though and I don't know how to convince my parents to let me without them getting annoyed.HELP!
Answer: either go behind their backs and do it anyway or tell them that you can get temporary dye that washes out after a couple weeks and it doesnt damage your hair at all, you can find the dye at Sally's Beauty Supply, its called Color Jamz... if you want pink i suggest Candy Apple Red, it comes out very hott pink, purple, you'll want Not So Shy Violet, Blue, i cant remember the exact name cuz its been awhile since i used it,but you'll want the darkest one because it comes out amazing while the lighter ones dont really show up
Question: Why do the tips of my hair turn blonde in the summer? I have brown hair and in the summer the bottom tips of my hair turn blonde. (Like light blonde) The rest of my hair doesn't really change color in the summer, so its really weird because it is like brown at the top and really blonde at the bottom.
Answer: That is the sun bleaching your hair and as the ends are older and more porous they bleach easier than the rest of your hair which probably is a shade lighter but you just don't notice it.
Question: tips on how to get a nice tan this summer? I have very pale skin and im wanting to get a nice tan this summer any tips on what i can use to do this?
Answer: 1.Smooth your skin – A few days or weeks before you head to the beach, before you shower every morning, buff your skin with a body brush in gentle, circular motions to ensure smooth skin and better circulation. During your shower, exfoliate with a soft body scrub to brush away dead and dry skin. This will give your skin a soft, even surface for your tan.
2.Moisten – After your shower, take the time to apply a rich body cream to seal in moisture and keep your skin feeling smooth. A daily moisturizer is essential to minimize damage to your skin from UV rays. After tanning, it doesn’t hurt to apply a cream to your skin again. If you’re on vacation, you’ll probably shower before heading out for a night on the town, so this would be the perfect time for a moisturizer.
Once you’re in the sun, limit yourself to a few hours a day, and try to avoid sun tanning during the peak hours of 11 AM and 2 PM. Always use sunscreen, as a full sun on unprotected skin is bad no matter what. A lotion with SPF 6 to 15 will still allow you to tan, based on your skin type. A good tan should take a few days. Tanning too fast is dangerous and could lead to burning and long term damage. The idea is to tan slowly. Because the act of tanning is your body’s defensive response to the sun’s rays, you don’t want to overdo it. Gradually, as you get darker, your skin will raise its natural SPF to about 3 or 4. Certainly not enough to protect you for prolonged periods, but enough for your body to know it’s hot out there. The idea is to look like you’re enjoying your summer. Keep practicing step 1 and 2 every morning before you go out.
The perfect tan means minimizing tan lines. One method is to wear a bikini and periodically adjust your straps. Another idea is a tan through swimsuit, which allows part of the sun’s rays to penetrate the fabric. The straps will still need periodic adjusting due to the knitted seams, but you have the ability to tan your entire body, even while wearing a 1-piece bathing suit, should you so desire.
Practise this daily regime, and you’ll have a great tan by the end of the week. If you treat your skin right, the sun will again be your friend. Have fun at the beach
Question: Moving out for the first time in Summer 2010; any tips/advice? My sister and I are planning on moving out this summer. (We live in British Columbia)
Any general tips/advice? Also, what is a good area to move to? (we were thinking vancouver, burnaby, or coquitlam) Something near a sky train station.
Also, how should we go about finding an apartment/condo? What sort of stuff could we be forgetting about (ie. apartment insurance, etc.)
I feel very overwhelmed. Please help =)
Answer: Make sure you have a very stable job and enough income to support you and your sister. I suggest moving some where safe and close by home.
Take some time now and look on the internet for apartments in the areas you are interested in and look at the utility cost such as electricity, water, garbage, health, food and etc.
Question: Going to Floridia and NEED summer makeup tips? 1st is this a good makeup routin for summer weather...
1. Bare minerals
2. Shimmery Blush
3. Mascara
4. Chapstick
2nd any tips to make this better or just tips in genral?
3rd how do I get my hair to have the beachy wave look?
4th any cute outfit ideas for the trip?
THANX =)
Answer: I live in Florida, and the best make-up advice I can give you is less is more. The Sunshine State is all about the natural look. Your make-up plan looks great, just be sure to carry a compact mirror with you. Florida humidity can make mascara run easily.
As for beachy waves, it all depends on your hair type. If you have naturally wavy hair, then great! Just let it dry naturally, then apply a shining serum to avoid frizziness. If your natural hair isn't the beachy look that you want, use a large barreled curling iron all over your head, curling backwards. When finished, let cool and lightly run your fingers through your hair to make it look more natural.
And finally, clothes. In Florida, most of the locals can be spotted in jeans and cute, floaty tops. As for footwear, go with cute flats or flip-flops. Anything too over-the-top will just attract stares.
Hope this helped!

Answer: For the day time you could use:
A face primer

You could try powder foundation but it needs to be waterproof.
