Question: How long for secondary teeth to come in? My 6 1/2 yr old daughter lost 3 baby teeth several months ago and there is no sign of new teeth coming in. She has no front teeth and can't bite anything. How long does it take? With her older brother, the new teeth came in right away, we could see the white poking through his gums as soon as the baby tooth fell out.

Question: How long does it take for teeth to grow fully through? I'm 17 and I went dentist today and found out I still have a baby tooth in my mouth that is trying to come out but my adult tooth is stuck so it cant push it out. I've got to have a operation to get it out but the tooth is at the front of my mouth and i've always been proud of my teeth so it's going to ruin my confidence. How long will it take for the new tooth it take place of the baby tooth?
Answer: A dentist would construct a removable prosthetic device called a "flipper." It is made to look just like your regular teeth and will take the place of the gap until your permanent tooth grows in... which actually happens faster than you would think. No respectable provider would make you walk around without one of your front teeth, so be sure to ask about a flipper device next time you go in. Good luck!
Question: What teeth whitening product is most safe to use? I've heard that teeth bleaching makes your teeth sensitive. I want to bleach my teeth but I don't want to use some horrible product.
Answer: This is what I use every day...it sounds crazy, but I promise it works!
I swish with peroxide...just about two teaspoons full because after you swish for a while, it really foams up and doubles in your mouth. I swish for about two minutes (I walk around and do other things while I'm doing this). If you decide to try this, just don't eat or drink anything for about 1/2 an hour.
I just had a dentist appointment a couple of weeks ago, and my hygienist was like "wow, your teeth are really white!" All I do is regular dental care, and swish with peroxide. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than the strips/bleaching kits too! Plus, my teeth are never sensitive.
It takes about two weeks to notice a real difference, but it works!
Question: How do I get my teeth to a natural yellow color? My teeth are green and black, is there a special tooth whitening for black teeth, so I can aim for a goal of natural yellow color? i know its not white but it's better than black teeth - rite?
Or do teeth colour does not matter?
Answer: Green and black sounds cool. Paint a star on your face and dye your hair multiple colors and hit the streets.
Question: When should I get my teeth bleached if I am getting a dental implant? I am a former smoker and a current coffee drinker, so my teeth are a bit stained. I recently cracked a tooth (#5, behind the eye tooth) badly enough that it had to be extracted, and I'm still healing from the extraction.
Before the crack, I'd been planning to do in-office whitening (like Zoom).
When should I do it? If I wait until after I get the implant, will the implant bleach to match my teeth? Or should I do it now, and have them match the implant to the bleached teeth?
Answer: Just remember as soon as your natural teeth start to discolour, it is going to make your implant tooth very noticable, so probably not a good idea to go with a really white implant-unless your happy to keep a strict teeth whitening schedule.....
Question: What is the best teeth whitening toothpaste? I have somewhat white teeth but they could be better. I want to know what is the best toothpaste that makes your teeth whiter. What I am using now doesn't do much for me. It is " Crest Whitening Expressions". I have been using it for months now and nothing has changed. I brush my teeth twice a day and still, nothing.
So what is the best toothpaste for whitening teeth. Also is there anything else I can do to make them whiter. Use mouthwash or what?
Thanks.
Answer: As far as toothpaste I haven't really found any that do anything REALLY noticeable.. I mean, they'll all clean your teeth but nothing compares to the dedicated teeth whiteners.
I was a smoker for 20 years and when I finally stopped, I realized just how yellow my teeth were. I tried lots of the whiteners, and found a few that really worked and stuck with them..
I don't want to look like I'm advertising, so I won't say which are the best.. But if you want to know the names of the ones that work let me know and I'll reply.
Good luck
Question: How do I get my daughters to take better care of her teeth? I always have to keep after her to brush, and she avoids it whenever she can. She's had quite a few teeth pulled already for a 13 year old, and a lot of fillings too, but she just won't take care of her teeth. She's fussy about her clothes and hair, but her teeth are all getting rotten. I recently took her sister(my oldest) to the dentist and he said she'll probly have to get dentures soon because she has so many teeth missing and so many that will have to come out before long and she just turned 15. She recently started brushing more, but the teeth she has left are literally rotting out of her head. I know bad teeth run in my family because I lost all my teeth when I was 15 and I haven't had any teeth or dentures since then, but I think it couldn't hurt if they at least tried to take care of their teeth some. I really can't afford crowns and root canals and some of the expensive stuff they do to save teeth these days. How do I get them to brush more often or better?
Monica you could be right. They've never seen me with teeth cuz I lost all mine when I was 15 and I didn't get dentures.
Answer: I tried getting my boys one of those fancy electric toothbrushes. They got to pick it out and even though it was a little pricey, they like using the toothbrushes. Its kinda fun.

Question: how many teeth should an average adult have and when do molars start growing? im 13 and i have 12 teeth on top and 12 on the bottom. on one side of my mouth it it sore and i think it might be a molar or wisdom tooth whatever they are called. does all this sound normal,Should i have more teeth?Oh and do you have to get molars removed?
Answer: when ur mouth is done getting new teeth, there should be 32 total. most adults have their wisdoms taken out though, so that leaves them with 28. since you say that you have 24 teeth right now, you still have a few more molars to come, then around 17-21 years old, your wisdom teeth are going to come in. congrats on the new teeth! =]
Question: How to keep your teeth and gums healthy It's important to keep your teeth and gums healthy.? Most problems with teeth and gums can be prevented. Here's how:Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.Floss between your teeth every day.Visit a dentist regularly for checkups and cleaning.Cut down on sugary foods and drinks.

Question: Is it normal for other teeth or tooth to be sensative after a tooth filling or crown? At the moment one of my top back Wisdom tooth/teeth are sensative after my front Molar was scrapped and filled in order for a crown to be put in next week. Is it possible for the other tooth or teeth to feel sensative even if they are three or four teeth apart? if so why does that happen, because nerves are connected or something or should only the tooth/teeth right next to the one being worked on feel sensative & not the one few teeth apart. Thanks.
Answer: yes your gums and teeth need to heal, everything will be fine!
Question: How can I have my bottom teeth straightened again even after getting braces? Two of my bottom front teeth are slightly crooked because of my wisdom teeth. Now my wisdom teeth have been removed, but I want my bottom front teeth to be straight again. I already had braces and wear retainers that have a special spring to straighten out my bottom teeth, but I only wear them at night and they don't seem to be working. Do I need to get braces again? Or do I need to wear my retainers all the time? What else can I do?
Answer: I would make an appointment with your dentist first. They may be able to make some adjustments to your retainer that might correct the problem. But yes, if you had too, you can always get the teeth straightened again with either conventional braces, or something like Invisalign. In a 'touch up' type of case like yours, Invisalign can work pretty quickly to correct the alignment. Good luck!
Question: What are the best products for teeth whitening? I was wondering what products are the best for teeth whitening?
First, what is a good whitening toothpaste?
Second, what is a good product to use for teeth whitening that doesn't leave my teeth extremely sensitive? I have heard from multiple people that a lot of the whitening strips leave your teeth very sensitive. Anyone have any experience with a whitening product that does not leave you with extremely sensitive teeth after?
Answer: just clean your teeth lol :D
Question: How are the back teeth different from the front teeth when you have a root canal done? 16 years ago I had a root canal done to a canine tooth and also one done to premolar tooth. For both of them I had put on a permanent filling. The canine survived for 15 years but changed the color to yellow-black ( I put a crown on it because of the color) while the other one broke of in 2 years.
So I was wondering whats the difference between front and back teeth's and why they last different after the nerve was removed?
Answer: Front teeth typically have only one root. Therefore, normally you have to get treated only in 1 canal.
Top Premolars typically have at least 2 canals. Molars 3 or even 4 canals.
Lower Premolars typically have 1 canal and sometimes 2.
Canines are the strongest built tooth in each arch. The root is the longest and the cross-sectional measurement is also the higher than a premolar even if it has a single root.
Therefore, it is stronger and durable as a result of its bulky structure.
Question: How long does it take for teeth to grow? I had an operation more than a year ago to take out one of my baby teeth and to put a gold chain through the roof of my mouth onto the adult tooth to make the adult tooth come down. As i said this was a year and a half ago and i am still waiting for the adult tooth to grow down. The chain has been tightened around ten times which has been sometimes very painful. There is no sign of a tooth growing down and the surgeon said it should only take a few months. I am fifteen years old, nearly sixteen, and this is obviously very frustrating.
Answer: It should have been out in 3 to 6 months, soit means the tooth is stuck and may be need to be extracted
