Womens Health
Question: "does the womens health clinic call you and leave a messege saying that you just test HIV possitive? I received a voice mail at 4:30 am saying it was the womens health clinic and that i tested HIV possitive, they left a phone number but is a cell phone number from a different state... the messege wasn't addressed to anyone. Is this some kind of prank or do they usually inform people they are HIV possitive by the phone?
Answer: Sounds like a prank. Call your doctor or the clinic that took your blood sample to make sure. You might consider filing a police report too.
Question: Womens health..? Ok this is not a health question but seriously I am getting a bit bothered about this issue.
It winds me up to say the least when you are good enough to spend your own time answering questions on yahoo answers, and question askers are ungratefull for your help.
Fore example I answered a question and it only had one response which was from me.
So why was it when the person involved chose best answer they added a message to say " You were the only one who answered my question so I suppose you get the best answer "
How ungratefull is that ??
Answer: ( shaking my head ) People are just insensitive. Don't let them get to you. I get responses like that sometimes. To them I say, "Yeah. Thanks!" Hey, at leat I know how to be grateful ;)
Question: Do any of you women in yahoo answers think there are perverts reading womens health? i keep thinking there are perverts and sex offenders in the womens health section reading what we ask or reply to...it's not a big deal really lol im just saying you know how guys are?! they probly find this interesting! but i just worry about the real perverts like sickos like sex offenders in here!
Answer: Probably lol
Hi perverts!

Question: Does anyone know of any good womens health forums? I am looking for a good forum, where people actually go on and talk about womens health, contraception etc? Particularly iuds and coils etc
Answer: I didn't watched this forum nearer yet but I will check it I think you could too. http://www.womens-health.com/boards/
Question: Why is it that in womens health all you talk about is periods? I feel like the only thing in womens health is periods and birth control. Its not only womens health like this, mens health is the same except it is semen and penis length. WHY IS EVERYONE SO SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT THESE NATURAL THINGS???
Answer: Because people want to make sure what is happening to them is normal, that it happens to other people too.
Question: Is it normal that I browse through womens health part to inform myself? Is it normal ( and ok), that I browse through womens health part to inform myself?
(I am 16 ....many (especially guys i guess) would think that I should have already had sex and stuff, but I'm pretty unexperienced (which is ok with me) )
Answer: haha i do that too. x
Question: Womens Health? Please Help Me. For about a month now I have had a slimy discharge carrying Blood form my Vagina...Any Idea what tjis is? It was going on before my period ...my period came on around the rime It was supposed to ..and after my period went off the slime came back ...Its not a large amount....please only serious only serious answers...Rule Out pregnancy... I took a pregnacy test...Also there is a small amout of cramping
IT DOES HURT WHEN I PEE
Answer: I'm not being gross, but is it all the time, or just a couple of days or what? And are you sure it's from your vagina and not your urethra, which I'm sure you know, carries urine from your bladder. You could have a urinary tract infection, which can cause puss and blood in your urine, and burning sensations when you pee. The bladder spasms could feel like cramping also. If it persists then you should go see your doctor, because not getting treatment may cause infertility. Good luck and I hope everything turns out fine!
Question: What are the best womens health sites out there today? I'm looking for information and great newsletters on womens health. It just seems like webmd is great but impersonal and hard to sift through
Answer: www.wellnesscenterusa.com
good luck!

Question: What are 3 major womens health issues that have changed in your lifetime and how? Since the 1960s, many women's health issues have changed in the U.S. What are 3 and how have the effected you directly?
Answer: Well, I haven't been around since the 1960's, but one thing that has changed a lot just in the time I've been alive is contraception. We have a lot more options now than women did even a couple decades ago, and the pill has gotten much safer. The first pills had a huge amount of hormones in them and they had a lot of bad side effects. They were also very expensive. Now they have much fewer hormones in them so the side effects are nowhere near as bad as they would have been with the old pills, and they're very affordable--I pay $12/month for mine. Plus we have all kinds of other contraception options too--the ring, the shot, the implant, the patch, and all the barrier methods. Hormonal methods that we have today are much more effective than methods they had in the 1960's.
Question: i am interested in womens health and family planning, how can i get into a job like that? what do i need to study? is there a course i could go on and get trained and taught about women who need help?
i am 21 years of age and currently work in the NHS but i am more interested about womens health such as gynaecology and family planning etc
Answer: Get a B.S. in nursing and then a masters in womens health. Or you can get a degree in social work specializing in womens health. Nursing pays waaaaay better though.
Question: Why are there so many campaigns for womens health? So many celebs seem to be doing a lot of campaigns on women's health. For example there's kathy griffin with her public pap smear and many others. I have never heard any advocates for men's health. Even if you google "women's health campaigns" you get way over 9M hits, and when you google "Men's health campaigns", there are just over 700,000 hits. Why is there so much more out there promoting women's health, but much less on men's health?
Answer: Because in our society, women are sadly considered more important.
Thought to be more victimized, women and children first, etc...
In one word: feminism. So much for equality.
Question: Did you know the greatest threat to womens health is domestic violence? Six million women a year get? hospitalized for beatings and abuse. Why aren't these men in jail?? Statistics show this to be true! Ladies watch out!
Hospitalization has nothing to do with culture my friend. it's brutality and women hav ebeen conditioned to buy into deserving it. Its patriarchal lies and evil.
Answer: I do not know the actual numbers, but it also happens to be the leading cause of death for pregnant woman. Jail does not happen for many reasons, 1. the female decides not to pursue 2. lousy judges 3. the attack is not violent enough to offer a felony charge,4. if an arrest happens bail is low 5. many minds consider it a "family matter" If you are interested you can be an advocate for these woman. Call the domestic violence hot line and get information on what you can do.
Question: How do I get a degree in womens health? I'm a sophomore in high schooll and was looking into this as my degree for the future. Does anyone have any advice about how I can further my future career?
Answer: If you are looking for a medical degree then you need to get an undergrad degree in a science, pre-med, biology etc. And then go to med school, while you are in med school you will pick a specialty. If you aren't looking to be a doctor, you can do women's studies, or nutrition as an undergrad degree. There isn't really a degree in women's health specifically, depends on what you want to do as a career
Question: Mens health better than womens health questions? Well in my eyes womens health is boring, all they talk about is periods and rubbish.
men talk about sex, and i love sex :D am i the only girl loool.
Answer: Lol. It's because it's all we think about.
Question: Are there more men in the womens health section or women in the mens health section? and why? Why do you think they would be there for? What would you say is the percentage and who is there more?
Answer: I'm betting it is pretty equal.
The opposite gender probably visits the health section to find out what guys or girls are thinking. I mean wouldn't you be curious about what problems girls (if you are a guy) or guys (if you are a girl) have?
If I had to pick which one, I would say: Men in the Women's Health Section. I don't know, my theory is that girls already have a lot of health issues to worry about guys'. And yes there is the peverted factor as well.
Hope this helps!
